I might be alone in thinking this but I liked him with straight hair with some curls better than full out curly. Like how he had his hair in the Remember the Time short film was pure perfection

This is just my assumption:

Firstly, Michael had weaving done onto his hair & sometime also wore wigs...

Throughout the 2000's I believe he did'nt have curls simply bcoz he was'nt touring. I think, curly hair style was more appopriate for concerts/Performaces coz it reduces any chances of mishaps with the weaves/wigs.

I remember, soon after the TII announcement, when Michael for the first time (after many years) was seen in curls I remember tellin my family that Michael is back to performing (rehearsing) simply based on seeing him in curls. I remember mentioning the same theory on one of the threads- n I got warned by one of the moderators coz they believed that talking abt wigs on Michael was inappropriate.

However we wud'nt knw which hair style he preferred in general.

It's pretty short but shows you that Michael did have hair despite tabloid reports. It just backs up what the autopsy described. I actually think I have seen some of this footage before and I never really thought about the hair thing that much. I did always adore the curls on him though. I feel they blended with his natural hair better. I knew Michael was serious when he got the curls back for TII!! Bless him.

I'm guessing the straight wig was easier to manage. I love the curls on him and he wore them for basically he entire 90's maybe he was trying to do somehing different but i hated the flip he sometimes wore lol Curly hair means business, i'm was glad to see him go back to it.

Yes i love that too and the grammy's in 1993. i also like during the bad era where it would be straight with like 3 ringlets in the front.

Yeah, I think he looked very gangsta during the Bashir Interview. His hairstyle, the tape on the fingers, the light makeup (?), everything made him look so gangsta.

what you see in 2009 was not his hair, but some extensions...and I was wondering since when he wore extension...maybe from 1984 after the pepsi commercial where his scalp was really burnt...what do you think?

Maybe he couldn't be bothered to make sure that his hair was nice and curly everyday.

I do agree though that he looked much much better with the curls. It made him look younger

But his hair was naturally curly, so it would take more time and effort to straighten his hair.

I love his hair curly during the BAD era. Basically imo, he looked so so handsome with curly hair pulled back, or curly or straight hair away from his face or pulled back. And I loooved his look in the 1995 MTV video awards when it was short and curly! I don't like him with that straight hair that covers too much of his sides, and I think those were wigs he might have been wearing.

I was so happy to see him he brought back his curls for TII, but you know come to think about it, he never had straight hair in any of his concert tours did he?
