when you look at michael's concerts, it's quite appearant he was in pretty good shape. anyone know how much he had to work out to keep up that level? a two hour concert while keeping up his energy level would exhaust anyone.

Well, he was for the most part of his life a vegetarian. He had a healthy diet and I'm sure he also worked out but I don't know exactly how much he worked out. :)

I think he regularly danced. I think that was his workout basically.

Didn't he stop being a vegetarian around Dangerous Era though? (KFC :p)

Yeah, he probably worked out..More so before a tour and during it..He got pretty big for the SIM video which requires some form of heavy weight training I would think..There is also a really noticeable difference in weight/muscle in the early HIStory tour concerts as well.

As far as I remember, didn't Michael said once that he hates to work out?!
So I guess he didn't do it very often. Or at least he worked out only when he needed..

I didn't hear anywhere about Michael working out.
It's been said that he worked out especially for ITC video and that was the only time he ever walked on a gym.

I also think that dancing and vegetarian diet was his recipe.
And before the concerts, for energy, he drunk a special cocktail with banana and protein and nothing else.

So I've heard.

But he stopped being a vegetarian around the Dangerous Era...Also, there is no way that he only worked out for the ITC video.. Stranger In Moscow video, He's pretty huge there...He must have done some form of work out for tours, to do all the things he did on stage, you have to be in top shape...

 stop saying he was a vegetarian, he said he stopped years ago, and we know about KFC. And although he didn't like to work out he did, according to many witness. Lou Ferrigno said he was his personal trainer in many occasions and for the This is it concerts.
Dancing it's also a good way to keep you in shape.

He did keep in shape by dancing. He worked out in a gym for the ITV video. And that was more or or less the only time. He did bulk up with protein drinks and other things before going on tour because when the tour started he would start loose weight. But he did some workout at times, but it was the dancing and playing that built that body.

Michael did have his special diets based on herbs as he'd say, so he wasn't completely non-vegetarian and he wasn't a big eater.

He ate the right food and only drank water:yes:

I"ve heard that he drank A LOT a coke and coffee although he shouldn't have done that because of his insomnia.

And about the eating in The Magic And The Madness it says that during the Victory Tour Katherine had complained that Michael barely ate something and he said that if he wouldn't know that he must eat in order to live, he wouldn't eat anything.

So, I guess, eating wasn't so important to him, except for KFC, popcorn, lollipops, gum

I love him.

Yes, in an interview he said he hated to work out, sit ups and stuff. He would only dance.

Michael in 2001: "I hate exercise. I hate it so much. The only thing I do is dance. That's an exercise. That's why I like some of the karate stuff or kung fu. It's all a dance. But sit-ups? I hate it."

whatever he did, it works. he had gorgeous body line. his muscles were defined, but not super buff up. he had perfect body proportion that allowed him to carry his outfits beautifully. many of his outfits look ridiculous on other guys. the high water pants have a shortening effect. but, he had a pair of long legs to offset the shortening effect. and his triangular shape upper body can carry the military jackets really well...

^^^^yes , I would say that he had a perfect proportioned body although some parts were more proportioned than others :naughty:

Slender, graceful, refined, delicate and still so strong .....:sigh:
