Re: MSNBC to air Murray Documentary "Michael Jackson and the Doctor" / Interview part 1 transcript @
I watched the documentary on ch4 plus 1 last night and missed the first bit of the interview with the bearded guy at the beginning, and i never picked up the refs to bed wetting or dolls, which is what i was most concerned about as it was such an invasion of mj's privacy. The prog was only 1hr 5mins and all media reports said it was a 50mins doc, so with the 10min(?) interview and all the adverts, i'm wondering if ch 4 edited out some stuff. Wd be interested if other uk viewers cd confirm (i suppose i cd have missed it), i'm hoping ch4 took notice of the outraged emails.
Murray came out of the doc as a complete charlatan, a certifiable nutjob. He didn't even attempt to sound credible when trying to explain what happened that night. At least we know now that if someone tries to defend him, they must be an irrational hater.
Both of those parts are in the YouTube uploads of the "documentary." Murray makes reference to the bed-wetting and is asked whether he thought it was psychological, and of course, since Dr. Conrad Murray is an undercover psychologist on the side, he thought himself fit to make an immediate diagnosis that the issue was psychological in nature. It could not have anything at all to do with the fact that he pumped his patient with drugs and basically put him under, which meant he had no control of his bowel movements (anyone who has ever been sedated knows this, of course). So, given that, how did Murray possibly expect Michael to get up and go to the restroom? I think it is very obvious that if he's being given an anesthesia agent like propofol, he's going to be completely KOd, and thus not capable of walking to the restroom like someone who is under regular sleep. Duh!
The doll thing was brought up by Flanagan's b-tch wife, Susan (who, by the way, is hideous). She basically said, "explain to me why a 50 year old man sleeps with a baby doll, and has pictures of babies and infants looking at him." Then Flanagan says idiotic things to support his disgusting wife, and Chernoff, interestingly enough, defends Michael by saying he thought the media portrayed him as being weird. Then, he had a disagreement with the Flanagans over that, Chernoff walks away with his food, and a bit after that scene, the fight between Chernoff and Flanagan ensues, during which Flanagan drops the "F" bomb at Chernoff, who actually took it quite well.
EDIT: Regarding YouTube channels, yes, some do have advertisements, but the way it works is that if the owner of the channel with the content in question chooses to place ads alongside his upload, the ads get played before the video goes on (as you all know), but it is
the channel owner that gets paid by YouTube. Therefore, if the documentary is in a YouTube channel that does not belong to MSNBC or any of the other networks, they cannot get paid for it because, as far as YouTube is concerned, the footage is assumed to belong to the channel owner, unless proven otherwise, in which case the video gets muted or taken down, and that's it. The channel which currently is hosting this sick joke of a documentary is NOT an MSNBC affiliated channel, nor is it part of any media. It's a regular YouTube user channel, and you can tell they recorded it off the television because the quality of the film is not great.
So, YouTube will gauge how many views something gets, this is true, but none of the money from ads (if any) will be going to MSNBC or its sponsors.
