No it's not. Did you read the summary I posted? It's about Queen taking revenge due to the loss of her husband and daughter. In the end everyone goes their way happily ever after the ocean pollution, mutant sea plants all stays the same.

imo,,I think that he was hoping by signing Paris to this movie that the estate would step up and help fund it. I could be wrong..but this is the vibes that I am getting from this, Misleading to Paris that is what this is.

now see,,you just proved my point max by thinking that the estate should offer earthsong. I bet that is the same thing that these people were thinking when they signed Paris for this movie. IMO..the estate would do best to stay far away from this thing,,,and NOT offer earth song. Earth Song is FAR to good a masterpiece to be used in this mess movie.
 
The movie may not follow the exact story line of the book. Many movies dont.
Maybe they plan to put a twist on it that is more invironmently sound. I would
hope so with the way its being promoted. All in all its not a bad story. I bet they
tweak it ..

Also its the first in the series so maybe in the following books they take more action
to help save the save the sea and planet. I dont thinks is suppose to be a serious story.
its Its a fantasy .. I just hope it turns out well. If not its a learning, life lesson for Paris
and all involved but certainly not the end of the world for Paris and the sky is not falling

I just dont see this as a sky is falling moment for Paris like some do. I want to keep a positive
outlook on it for now. Untill I learn more facts.

Earth song should be kept far away from this for Paris own sake. She want to make it let her make it on her own. Not because she's Michaels daughter
I can see how she was talked into this. For someone who doesn't think twice this sounds like a project MJ would support.
 
Apparently it has nothing to do with the message in Earth Song. Unless they don't stick to much to the book. Wonder who those worried MJ siblings are...

Well I don't know who is concerned about Paris or not, but Mrs. Katherine is in Japan supporting her 60 year old son's ''tribute'', she's got better things to do than worry about Paris at the moment.

Don't you people Get it...its obvious that paris was associated with this project because they know "Helping the planet" was close to her heart so she obviously wouldn't turn it down and her family would jump at the chance to make a quick buck without really researching if doing this would be good for her brand

THE FACT THAT MICHAEL WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THIS PLANET ...doesn't mean he would have gotten involved or would want his kids involved in every project on earth that has a planet saving theme ....you didn't see him flying all around the world for GREENPEACE rallies did you ??

is what got the kids to think(though not their fault as always) getting involved with a porn producer scam of an organization was good..BECAUSE TO YOU FOLKS "MIKE WOULD HAVE LOVED IT..charity etc"

I agree,,I think alot of us do..we want to see Paris have a positive ending. I mean she is just a child,,,a child that has come through alot in the past 2 years ..she NEEDS to have a good positive thing happen for her, Most of us have the same vibs,,and this project is NOT for Paris. I think some people are confusing fans "letting go" of the children so they can live their lives..and "looking out" for the children as the same thing...imo..there is a difference between the two. I know for sanity sake..I gotta let go..because I cannot change what they will do ,,BUT looking out for them...if WE the FANS ..KNOW that somone that these kids are gonna get involved with IS shady,,then I STILL think that Michael would want us to raise a fuss. IDK ..maybe I am the only one to feel that way.
 
Man, reading all of the "weekend" updates just reminds me of that "Michael Forever Tribute."

This is just Part II of that fiasco, in my opinion.

Apparently, the person in charge of this NEW project has no experience, same as Chris Hunt had no experience. And we ALL saw how that joint turned out.

Oh and signing Paris to more of these movies is just unbelivable. I mean, seriously, shouldn't the guardian have waited to see if the FIRST movie turns out to be a success, before agreeing to do more?

She's 13 now, in five years she will be 18. Will they be making these "sequels" back-to-back, or will she be playing that same part when she is 18 years old. LOL!

I'm so sorry, but this sounds like ANOTHER Hot Mess created by the children's guardian, Katherine Jackson. First signing the children to a LIFELONG contract with Howard Mann. Then allowing the children to be part of the TERMS & CONDITIONS of that Tribute concert. Now this. Oy Vey!
 
This is a review about the book from 2007

"Fantasy novel about the love of a family and the strength it brings. A little silly at times, but entertaining none the less. "

I'll agree that the plot is "love of a family and the strength it brings" and NOT protect the planet.

And yes the book is at times silly and Lundon is sometimes highly naive.

I mean Talking animals is not new. I can understand Lundon not giving up on her father but a Popsicle bridge? Sure at the end the bridge "magically" grows so that humans can walk on it but initially there's nothing to suggest such "magic" even exists.

It's an environment where you can hold on to the nose of a sea horse and make wishes. I mean the book is too much at times. You know the saying "less is more", that's how I felt about it.

Look to it : sea creatures can talk (okay this is very basic), these creatures can also change forms (sea creature or human form), Lundon's family is literally the equivalent of Dr. Doolittle, you have an Evil Queen with half human / half bug-insect soldiers, there's a dangerous land (Decayed Sea), there's a magical land (swamp), a tree with powers, a mother nature (Madam Lifee) that you can only see if you pass the test (3 keys), an equivalent of magician / fairy (Paco), the ability to make wishes, a variation of a protector/ prince charming (Waxer) and a bunch of mutant or cross breed creatures.

It's like all the children's books combined into one.

Then the kidnapping. In that event Lundon sees 5 kids bounded and gagged in the back of a van but yet stands up from beach and walks to the car in the parking lot without realizing what's going on. I mean really? Can't a 13 year old realize something is wrong when she sees bounded and gagged kids? She's incredibly naive at times.

Again I'll point out that I'm a 35 year old adult. Perhaps this book will read different to a 7 year old kid and they might be mesmerized by it. I just don't see this as a book that would have appeal to everyone. That's my opinion.

Nice to see Paris' Guardian kowtowing it in Japan. Looks like she doesn't give a damn. I wonder if she left Latoya as the babysitter? That would explain why Paris went to the movies with a virtual stranger. Just the kind of thing Latoony would approve.

Unfortunately as long as the dough is rolling in, and they are able to be manipulated I don't think any of these Jerks give a damn.

The book DOES read like it would be for very young children, definitely under the age of 8, but nowadays, who really knows. Today's 8 year olds are very smart and might feel too mature for this type of movie. (I remember some them devouring those Harry Potter books, when they came out.)

And Lord Jesus, there is a lot going on, isn't there. LOL!

I don't know, maybe it's just me, even though I think "they" are rushing. I mean, Paris is just 13, she has plenty of time to test the acting waters. What's the big rush?

That aside, if it really had to happen NOW, right NOW, then why not something that had a somewhat "decent" background and more importantly, more BACKING.

I was also thinking about this so-called contract for more movies under this unknown "author." Will Paris be allowed to take other parts while under contract with this unknown person? Knowing how some of these fools get down, I would not be surprised if Paris is obligated to do these movies and NOTHING else, until her contract with this unknown author is completed. I gotta tell you, I would not be surprised one bit.
 
Has her Ellen appearance been re-scheduled yet?

This might tell us something if it doesn't air this week.
 
Ivy deserves a medal for reading the book on our behalf. I couldn't read past the first para of her summary without getting a headache - it reads like the author was on some serious hallucinogenic drugs while writing it - the plot is bizarre. On amazon it says Denis christen began writing it in 1979 and then spent another 2 and a half years on it in the mid 90s with his co-author - craig zukowski, who he met accidentally in a cafe.

I have never heard of a 5 film franchise being planned based on a book that no one has heard of (are the other 4 written?). This must be a first for hollywood which is notoriously cautious and risk averse. I'm predicting it's not going to happen, in my opinion it would be the best outcome.

Mythical creatures are featured prominently throughout the storyline: There's an ancient sea wizard that shifts people between species, a dolphin who becomes a human, a jellyfish that turns into an evil fairy godmother and a teenage boy who morphs into a dragonfly.
Lundon's Bridge was featured in a segment on CNN's Larry King Live in 2009.
Paris is featured on the book’s cover.

Hmmm what I want to know is how did Sobisky get to Paris, he should have spoken to KJ and if she says no, then end of story. At least this article only called Paris 'crafty', that could have been worse.
 
^^Maybe sobisky tweeted paris and they met up? Knowing what we know, that crazy scenario cd be true,lol.

That article reads like the jacksons are blaming parisfor getting involved in this enterprise. Weird, as in another article, the People one in another thread, the quotes are all about how close the family is and how protective the uncles are in looking out for paris. Then you get Taj tweeting that all the negative publicity is all lies. The family are completely clueless in media relations.

I read this sentence and it reminds me of Chris Hunt all over again. Another person with a non-existing resume!

It's almost like the children's guardian ONLY takes offers from folks who have NO experience in the area they are promoting.

"My granddaughter wants to be an actress. You have NO experience in that area, no problem, feel free to sign her up and don't forget to make the check out in MY name."

well it's never the Jackson's fault remember it's always the outsiders or Michael's (in this case his child's fault), they are never at fault. NEVER.

I don't care if Paris persuaded 82 year old Katherine or not, her job was to say no, but of course when she's having her hands full with raising her 60 year old senior children, there is not much time left to give attention to Paris and this matter.
