What came first red shirt or black shirt and how many shows were done with these? And why the change of colours ? were they still experimenting and finally decided to go with silver?

The first three shows of the tour were in Tokyo and each show had a different shirt color. I don't remember the exact order, but those were the only time the red and black shirt were used.

EDIT: I did some digging on this and here's the order.

the black shirt was used in the very first show (12th of September '87).
the red shirt was used in the second show (13th of September '87).
the silver shirt was the third and final night at Tokyo (14th of September '87).

I guess Michael liked the silver shirt better and decided to go with that one for the rest of the first leg and then with a new silver shirt for the second leg. Though he had a red version of the second leg shirt which he wore a few times in public.

if we do get the BAD World Tour Second leg on Blu-Ray/DVD this year then I will watch it non stop.

I think that the Bad Tour is his best tour but he had the worst costumes on that tour in my opinion. During the Victory Tour Michael had the best costumes in my opinion. I'm not counting This Is It of course.

Why do you think so? I love the Bad, TWYMMF - MITM, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal outfit. I think they're cool. Usual silver shirt is ok as well. Maybe you are referring to black, red shirts?

yeah, and the thong on the Dangerous tour was very cool. :rofl:
to me the silver jacket from the second leg was the coooolest costume from all tours. then the golden one from History. the victory one were great, but looked too normal. Ohh, the stripe panths :rollin:

No, I am referring to his main costume. Belts, buckles and that..silver shirt. I'm not saying that it is bad, I'm just saying that it's my least favourite. I love shiny and sparkly stuff that he wore on Victory Tour.. so much costume changes, the jackets are awesome. Then for me it is golden History outfit, then "the thong on the Dangerous tour" and then the Bad Tour outfit.

Billie Jean is always classic and blue shirt on MITM & TWYMMF is great. Better than white CTE shirt on Dangerous Tour.

I wounder if it is possible for them to show a Bad Tour concert in theaters? Maybe they just release it on dvd/blu ray?

It's really hard for me to pick my favourite MJ Tour. I love Dangerous Tour because of the setlist (the best in my opinion). I love Bad Tour because he sings all the songs live and the setlist is also great. But Victory Tour is also amazing, because he looks the best, he is slim, he is youthful and energetic. HIStory Tour is my least favourite although setlist is great, choreographies and dances are perfect, the stage is the best and all the special effects and the tank! The only reason is his voice and all the lip-synching.

But if I have to choose I would say:
1. Bad Tour
2. Dangerous Tour
3. Victory Tour
4. HIStory Tour

I personally like the silver bad from second leg much better than the silver on first leg.. with just buckls around the arms and one sholder.. I like it beter than the ring around the neck and down from sholder to oposite waist.. thats just me..

Maybe because when I was young I saw it first from Another Part Of Me video that I fell for that one, but It's cool..


2nd leg I just get so tired of waiting to see it.. But what else can I do? the clocks still ticking and we still wait

Thanks T.N.A - very informative reply there!!!

I find it even cooler now I know the first 3 shows were black shirt then red shirt and then finally silver which took the rest of the tour all the way to 89!!!

I've seen the black shirt show many times (sadly though its prob the worst quality footage show out there) and now to know it was the very first show you can tell because Michael is fresh and sounds perfect but at the same time you can see he and the show are not structured out like later shows - for instance he dosnt get a girl up for she's out of my life but instead just sits on the edge of the stage which is just pure coolness anyway!!!

This is why I would love the first show to be released as well as one of the 88 shows because you get to see Michael performing differently, it's almost like its a different tour.

We all have our favourites, I'm not saying those costumes are bad, I just prefer other tours. And again I was not talking about Thriller or Billie Jean jackets. I meant his main outfit.

I love his gear for the Bad Tour, my favourite is the black jacket he always wear for the opening to "WBSS", that jacket is BAD ass.

I'd definitely say that any of the BAD attire is the coolest I've seen...the belts, buckles, the jackets....and I love that for Dirty Diana or Smooth Criminal he just adds a hat, shirt, jacket etc to what he was already wearing...those pieces are so iconic that they just transform him immediately into that particular performance....(he was just THAT cool)...Not that you can hear it in concert, but I love the SOUND of the buckles and what not when he dances...you can hear it in Speed Demon or Bad videos...plus, with the tightness of the pants and shirts, you can see his svelte movements that much more....and then the sequins are always saved for Billie Jean...:D

if they show the bad tour in theaters, it would be very profitable. that way it will boost the sales of the blu-ray/dvd. like disney did with the limited screenings of Lion King and Beauty and the Beast in 3D at the same time with the blu-ray releases. those titles were long avaited by many anyway, but it didn't harmed or bring any losses.
Just i'm afraid that if the sceening of the tour don't bring that same grossing as TII did, fans will start complaining.

I hope they release it on both but even if they released it on just VHS i would buy that too, simply because this is the greatest tour of Michael's IMO.
