It seems they served Muarry? Why they did not deal with Muarry issue all last year. It is not as though Muarry has a lot of appointments and he has to clear his calendar to talk to anyone.

It will be interesting to see if Murray answers any of their questions.

I "believe" he has the right to PLEAD THE FIFTH, since he has his own legal drama going on right now, i.e. appealing this, that, and the other thing.

I'm not positive, I'm just thinking out loud.

Sorry to ask but can we also have a News only/No Comments thread for this trial please? I find it difficult at the best of times to keep up without having to wade through pages of comments :no:

But the trial has not started yet. I thought we did things like that when the actual activity arrived? Right now we are simply commenting on all the depositions, filings, etc.

Great the jacksons are prepared to work with murray in their quest for money. this could be murrays chance
to take the stand. This could be horrendous

If only it could be true. If he is smart he will plead one of his usual ailments that he leaks to the press.

Yes. And personally, I can't help thinking that this is why Katherine decided not to try to get restitution from Murray. I think they dropped the restitution in order to get Murray to work with them against AEG. But if they lose the AEG case, they can't go back to trying for restitution from Murray. And if they start complaining, I won't want to hear it.

Katherine should have asked for restitution against Murray. Murray lied to all of the AEG people. If he had anything against them he would've said so in order to avoid going to jail. Murray's 'treatment' of MJ was all on Murray. He told no one he was giving MJ propofol. He even lied to the pharmacist so what makes Katherine think he will say anything against AEG in order to help her lawsuit?

It's a deposition subpoena so yeah they want Murray to sit down and answer their questions

I thought the reason they dropped it was because if they won from Muarry, what they would get from a win from AEG will
be reduced due to the Muarry amount, and they knew Muarry did not have money. So suppose they won 100 mil from Muarry who was unable to pay, when they went to the AEG trial that mil amount would be taken into account which would decrease anything they get from AEG. So it is best to drop the restitution and go after the people who can give you the millions if you win. They did not want muarry messing up their chances to win dough.

Ivy ^^you see this is the thing that irritates me about the family lawyers. They had all of 2012 to send notice to Muarry & get this done. Now when we already have an initial delay to 2013, and then this new delay the other day, they decide to go hunting for Muarry who can easily be found in the county jail. It seems that they still have not decided on a clear strategy to use to win this case, if they are still fishing for clues from people like Muarry at the last minute.

The only value this lawsuit can have is to look with glee as the family's witnesses are ripped to threads during cross, but dragging Michael through the court system again is not worth it.

If murray is forced to testify, and the judge reminds murray that he took an oath to tell the truth and if he perjure himself he could spend time in JAIL or be fined. I think thats the only time you will get the truth out of murray.

well they aren't the most effective group of lawyers. As I posted on the summary judgment thread the reason they asked for a 2 week delay is because they are really late to do their depositions. Normally they were supposed to file their answer on January 30th, look to the above document - they sent it to the server on December 28th, he served the Sheriff's office on the 31st and the deposition is set on January 14. They are really late and disorganized.

Yes I mentioned before that after the trial there was some comment about how the family will be working with Muarry for the AEG case by a reporter. I cannot remember who but the information is in the trial thread and I remember we were all appalled. So from the day the verdict was reached they were interested in Muarry, and they wait till 2013 to serve. What a bunch of ding dongs.

What is Murray going to say that is going to help them? he's been proven a liar in the court of law. he lied to and deceived everyone involved, including MJ. That was proven during his trial. I really doubt Murray will be of any help.

^^Well don't you see this is the perfect case for him, since this case is based on lies too. Hence, Muarry and his "facts" will fit right in. I only hope that AEG can prove that the lies are indeed lies, because we saw what happened with the emails. The family side were responsible for the leak, but AEG could not prove it, so the lie that they did not know won & AEG was left looking foolish.

oxman made the comment before he was bared wouldnt surprise me if the family offered murray a few $ from any win in return for his help and inreturn they drop restitution

Can they use Murray's police interview and documentary to show inconsistancies in his continually changing version of events? Not sure whatever that liar has to say will really have much weight in the case.

If there actually is any money won in this case, all of it is going to be eaten up in lawyers fees, especially with the way they keep dragging it out.

Can you remember where you saw that elusive? It wouldn't surprise me, although I would think Murray would see this as a way of clearing his name so there is something in it for him already.

If it goes to trial the cross examination of murray would be interesting, although he didn't testify at his own trial so I wonder how keen he would be to take the stand.

Seriously, he is the main person in the case and he is going to be deposited at very last minute before trial:scratch:
Why now and this late? There must be some sort of monkey business going on.


Did AEG deposited Murray or only Katherine's side?

I think this is what Oxman said:
"Brian Oxman, who represents father Joe Jackson in a wrongful death lawsuit against Murray, said his civil case "will absolutely focus on what happened before the last few hours of Michael's life."

His comment was related to Joe's wrongful lawsuit, which is no longer pursued, but it still could be valid that family working with Murray to get what they have been after all along, and that is $$$$$$$.
Working with Murray is no more despicable than any other actions they have shown/done since Michael's death.

Btw, seemingly even Oxman thought that Jackson were going to ask restitution as he said in that interview. Shows you that even scum of the earth like Oxman has more sense than family.
"As a convicted felon, he is not permitted to profit from his crime," Oxman said. "The family has the right to receive those funds."


I absolute would hate to see that Murray is given platform to tell his lies, but I have no doubt he will do so in various interviews once he gets out. Perhaps it is better if he takes a stand in the court room, then it will be where AEG lawyers can rip his lies apart and those lies would be broadcasted to the public.

but I do need you to confirm or explain those legal mumbo jumbo language for me:D

The only things I think they want Murray to tell them, whether AEG knew Murray was giving propofol to Michael, and was he hired or not.

As we heard in his trial, AEG wasn't aware of propofol, and contract wasn't signed.
What else they could possibly ask from him in order him to support their case against AEG?

They will go on slippery road if they go blaming AEG for not caring of Michael as that will fly right back at their own faces.

I cannot help but feeling sick every time Murray is mentioned and to think Jackson's working with him in anyway makes me even more sick:(

This woman describes Murray perfectly in her article, and it really makes me want puke to think possibility he is offered a platform to tell his side, but we can never hear Michael's side of the story.

Agreed, and adding to your post:

As per Murray's defense, Michael injected himself with a fatal dose of propofol. Although Murray was present, and supplied the propofol, Michael did himself in, as per Murray's defense.

I'm not sure how Murray's prior defense plays into AEG being responsible.

Also, in my opinion, in order for Murray to point the finger at AEG, he would have to say that "so & so from the AEG organization" told me to prescribe propofol to Michael for his insomina and they provided me with the funds to purchase the propofol.

As I said previously, I don't see Murray answering any of those questions. He will not incriminate himself while he is fighting his appeal.

Exactly.. he isn't talking.. And he knows good and well that AEG never told him to give MJ propofol as a sleep aid. I am upset with AEG for not inquiring as to why MJ needed treatment and as to why Murray wanted $150,000 per month for these 'treatments'. The amount that Murray was insisting on should have raised red flags
