[Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror / New assult Pg 38

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

you know, i dont understand why the FBI hasnt responded to this. And not to save MJ's ass from the media onslaught, but to protect them selves. As it is right now, the FBI is being publicly accused of having protected a "dangerous pedophile" from going to jail, because they, according the the article, had incriminating evidence, but failed to hand it over to Sneddon in 05, and they failed to arrest MJ before and after 05. Surely they wouldn't want to be associated with obstruction of justice?
BUT why hasnt they contacted that newspaper, told them to shut up and apologize for misleading the public? (perhaps they have, but im yet to see that statement...)

IMO the FBI has no love lost for Michael and they don't mind it that he's being slandered (they worked together with Sneddon). But you are right basically they are being slandered as well.

yup. I think it's weird that they dont react to defend themselves....? It's their integrity, after all. And many people find this bogus story legit because the name FBI is mentioned. Basically all they ahve to do is say "we released the real files in 09". End of.

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

I'm sick of seeing fans get brushed off, mocked and called delusional. Some people really do think that if you defend MJ then you're just a blind , deluded fan who is starstruck. When the fact of the matter is that the fans know about these false allegations better than anyone else. Hell the fans probably know more about these false allegations than the Estate does

and that's why it's so sad that the Estate really doesnt give a damn (well, at least that's how their latest statement left me feeling) Ok, so apparently they cannot sue for defamation of character when the person is dead. But how is that preventing them from issuing a statement listing why those "fbi files" are fake? Why is that stopping them from writing a short, but on-point statement about all the facts we've stated here? What is stopping them from going on tv/radio/to media to tell the truth? What's stopping them from working with T-mez, who probably has the biggest info on the case(s). What's stopping them from reaching out to the fans? What's stopping them from being pro-active? Chances are the public will listen to the Estate - the fans? we just get called delusional sheep...

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

I believe they asked Tom Mesereau to answer that, like they did when the WR story appeared

I have emailed this letter to two nationwide news papers in Sweden who has recycled the article from Sunday People. I have translated it to English (sorry for any mistakes, I am not native speaking) and if you wish to use it in any way to get the message out there, please feel free to do so! :)
__________________________________________

I see that [optional recipient] has now picked up the article published by the Sunday People x days ago. If you are interested in reading more background information on the story and find out the facts behind these allegations, for example check out this article:
http://mjandjustice4some.blogspot.se/2013/07/of-sunday-people-trash-story.html?m=1

I would appreciate very much if you would spend some time researching how much truth there is in the stories you publish. I fully understand the motivation behind sensational articles that draw readers, but regurgitating old stories and lies about "allegations" in regard to Michael Jackson makes most of your readers yawn and perhaps feel that you should leave him alone and let him rest in peace (at least for the sake of his children).

What would be truly sensational would be to publish the truth behind allegations of pedophilia that has dogged Michael Jackson for 20 years now. Not any nationwide or for that matter international media have bothered much about the story, even though there are a lot of exciting information to share for those interested. Reading about how the public prosecutor in Santa Barbara have tried planting fabricated evidence and also traveled around the whole world (including to Australia and Canada) to find alleged victims or credible witnesses without finding one, how unethical reporters have bribed dozens "witnesses" to get them to talk about abuse that never happened, and to read revelations in black and white about the people behind this smear campaign (which large sections of the media hangs on seemingly reflexively because it is so" lucrative "business) – that would be much more worth reading and spectacular!

By contrast, to continue to publish sordid stories about these pedophile accusations despite the overwhelming evidence that they are not true (eg, that two independent courts dropped the charges against Jackson in 1993 for lack of evidence, that he was acquitted in the trial in 2005, that the FBI files released after Jackson's death in 2009 (over 300 pages) virtually frees him from all suspicion, and that dozens of people who knew Jackson personally have testified to his innocence, including the boys that he has been accused of exploiting, as Brett Barnes, Macauley Culkin, Emmanuel Lewis, Frank and Eddie Cascio, Sean Lennon, Omer Bhatti, etc), however, is a real dead end.

Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don't make it factual

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

^If that's the case, it was a sensible thing to do but I don't understand either why they didn't state a stronger statement like they did with WR if those are very damaging claims.

The FBI don't defending themselves from those claims is weird indeed. Don't they care media and the public are accusing them of corruption at all? I'm not that possitive that statement will occur but I'm waiting they release it anyways.

Well, in turn, you can call those people "haters" or "delusional". For me, I have never been mocked or called delusional by anyone around me or who I have come in contact with when talking about MJ. And if anyone do have negative view, I can tell them the facts and they will say "well you would know, you follow information more than us" . Now if you talking about people on the internet, that is another story, some people love being idoits online. Just think, if they dislike MJ so much, why would they be following him? And when you present the evidence to them, why do they go against it YET they are willing to believe TABLOID? That should tell you what you are dealing with. Again, I do not believe the average person want MJ to be label a child abuser and anything that supports that they are willing to accept it; however, haters and trouble makers love to roll in dirt and start drama online. One guy told a reporter he wish she was dead because she suffered from a diease. The station tracked him and few other guys down and talked to them about their comments and they backed down saying it was all a joke. I can tell online when I am dealing with people who are just posting for knowledge compare to people who just want trouble. Also, some people are racist and just want to find fault in a black person.

We have to remember, this story is mostly in tabloid and a few tabloid shows. it is not getting attention. I am sure a letter maybe written. If it gets bigger, you can believe the FBI will get involved. Did you know some people use the IRS name and make false claims against them as well?

They may not want the story to get bigger. Again, hardly NO ONE is talking about this story. Today, I am only seeing it on here. NOT even CNN, FOXNEWS, USATODAY, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, no one is talking about it Not even my local news (and I stayed up late the past few days and even the evening waiting to see. NO ONE).

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

Wow! I hope they expose these shady and scumy characters for what they are, and inform the public about those extremely misleading FBI files.
CNN only talked about it monday on the Showbiz tonight for a few a minute. It is NOT even on their website or regular program.

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

And my sister. She's so gullible she believes anything these tabloids publish and doesn't bother to research for facts before jumping to conclusions. She is completely resistant to anything I throw at her that will enlighten her. There are way too many closed minded, gullible people just like her (as evidenced by twitter when this latest story came out) who want to believe what they want to and nothing can change their minds.

YOur sister seem to do it because she knows it bothers you.

No, reread her message. They are suppose to air NEW info tomorrow on CNN. I'm thinking Alan Duke may have something to do with this. I hope he exposes the fake FBI files, for what they are. Junk!!

"BREAKING NEWS".... there will be a very important article tomorrow (July 4th) coming out on CNN in regards to all of the garbage that has been going around.

Edit: Alan Duke just recently tweeted "Stay tuned!" I've been wondering why he's been so quiet. ;)

"Entertainment Tonight" did not carry anything negative about Michael Jackson last night. It was all quiet on the Western front!

She posted that last night, so this article is showing up today. I just hope it isn't relegated to someplace where no one will see it.

She just posted again that it wasn't up yet but will let us know when.

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

Michael Jackson allegations
In the wake of 1993 child sexual abuse accusations against Michael Jackson, Barresi attempted to sell tabloid gossip in 1994 after secretly taping two accusers in order to scoop them. Barresi claimed he met and dated Stella LeMarque, then surnamed "Marcroft," before she and husband Philippe married. The LeMarques tried to cash in on their story after being dismissed in 1991 as workers at Jackson's Neverland Ranch, claiming they had witnessed Jackson inappropriately touching Macaulay Culkin. When their asking price was $100,000, Barresi said "'the hand was outside the kid's pants' ... As soon as their price went up to $500,000, the hand went inside the pants."
Barresi appeared in a PBS Frontline documentary about the incident and described his involvement:
Barresi: So I called the editor at The Globe and I said, 'I have a tape, I'm on the way down town to hand it to the District Attorney.' And his words were, 'let us come with you.' And then I knew I had him. The next thought in my mind was I'm going to ask for $30,000. You always ask for twice as much as what you hope to get. He put me on hold, and within less than a minute he came back and he said 'well, we can't give you thirty, we'll give you ten.' I said 'make if fifteen,' he said 'you have a deal.'
Reporter: Could you see the headlines coming?
Barresi: Oh yeah, sure, and I could see that money coming too.
According to Maureen Orth of Vanity Fair, Barresi had arranged the $15,000 deal with The Globe, but he got impatient and contracted tabloid broker Kevin Smith of Splash News Service, who placed it with The Daily Mirror for $2,400. When the Globe deal came through, Smith couldn't undo the Mirror deal, and the Mirror scoop kept Barresi from getting paid by The Globe. Smith claims Barresi came to his office "with a gun and a huge bodyguard," and Smith arranged for Barresi to get $1,000. In the end, the DA decided that the stories of the LeMarques and that of the Quindoys (who also sold their story to the tabloids) could not be used. Barresi ended up making $30,000 in total on the Jackson story.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Barresi

This makes it even clearer why Barresi is at it again, because it is easy money for him. This is how you keep a conspiracy going and going and going...

One other thing, Barresi worked in the Porn Industry and probably made good money, which is why he is so sleazy and will do anything for money!

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

It's getting more attention than WR when he broke that claim, that's undeniable. I hope CNN just don't copy and like the news in my country for example.

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

Well i hope that cnn article is pro the truth and isnt a hatchett job or a pointless article riddled with falsr info fed to them by the jacksons

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

I feel we have to be careful what we wish for - we can hope that CNN will do real, investigative work on this, but the reality is that it could be a copy and paste with some pallid rebuttals thrown in for good measure.

We should not call a media houses attention to a story like this unless we know that they are going to give us the honest, critical reporting that we need.

and the problem is that when it comes to MJ almost every news source turns into a tabloid

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

Lauren ?@lmt4mj 3mStill hearing that ADuke has article due today via CNN addressing fallacies re FBI non-files.

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

let's hope it's not a bombshell statement from Katherine telling him Jordan admitted he lied in 1993 .

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

I'm still wondering how they can claim mitteager's files which seem to have been amongst those shown on the mirror's website are said to be in pellicano's possession when the fbi raided. Mitteager left all his tapes etc when he died to barresi who transcribed them all. But Mitteager didn't die until 1997. So why wd pellicano have them in his filing cabinets - he was working for bert fields as a pi for mj during the chandler affair only from july-nov 93.

I reread that ghastly mirror article and still can't get where the heading of 24 boys being paid $35million comes from. In the body of text it says 24 boys were paid off but in another place it quotes barressi, the anonymous investigator, as saying 'at least 3 boys got hush money' - these would be jordie, jason who we've known about for the past decade, and presumably this fictional brandon k richmond who has the contract drawn up by weitzman. There's just zilch attempt to say anything about the other 21 boys and the over $10millon still remaining of hush money apart from that list of blacked out names in an email from some anonymous person saying mj paid off these victims. It's just unbelievable how bad the reporting is, they know they can just say whatever they want about mj, even knowing one of his chidren has just had a suicide attempt. I imagine there will be the fbi files #2 in this sunday's paper too.

you got that right because Katherine along with the rest of the family act so clueless about everything. The fans know more facts than the Jackson family.

Paul Barresi gave the tapes to the fbi when Pellicano was arrested.

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

so the FBI had the files and obviously felt they were useless tabloid info and the tabloids want us to believe that the FBI has had them since 1993 and even 2002 when Pellicano was arrested yet the FBI didn't use them when they were working with Sneddon?
