[Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror / New assult Pg 38

So now that the Sunday People's so called "FBI files" from last week have been exposed for what they are they took Michael's real FBI files and try to twist that around into something that it's not by taking them out of context and omitting parts.

An FBI probe into Michael Jackson’s sex abuse of young boys was shelved because he’d been invited to the White House, official records show.

The Thriller megastar was to be honoured with an award by Ronald Reagan in 1984 for his work with drug and alcohol charities.

And federal agents decided to save the President and wife Nancy embarrassment by scrapping their investigation into a tip-off that Jackson had molested two Mexican boys.

The disclosure – in papers released under America’s Freedom of Information Act – comes a week after the Sunday People revealed Jackson spent 23million in 15 years to buy the silence of at least 24 youngsters who had visited his Neverland ranch in California.

The Reagan document is part of a 333-page file made public by the FBI which show there were suspicions the singer had been abusing kids since at least 1978, when he was 20.

...

The FBI openly admits in the dossier it did not follow up the tip about the Mexican kids being abused “because Jackson was to receive an honour at the White House from the President”.

Not true.

The story in the FBI files about someone, who on December 27, 1993 (four months after the Chandler allegations became public) contacted the LAPD claiming he was writing a book about MJ and the alllegations. This person claimed to the LAPD that he's been informed that the FBI investigated MJ for abusing two Mexican boys in 1985 or 1986 but it was swept under the carpet because MJ was to receive an honor in the White House. (Never mind that Michael received that honor in 1984, not 1985 or 1986.) The person was most probably Victor Gutierrez and we have seen from the Tabloid Truth documentary that it's a commonly used strategy by tabloid journalists to contact authorities with the lies they make up about people so that then they can say "the police is investigating it" - making it look "more credible" for their readers.
Not surprisingly the Mirror "forgot" to add that the FBI checked out this claim and found it to be untrue!

"Writer searched indices, both manual and automated for any reference to above mentioned investigation. No references were found."

There is no such a thing there as an "open admission" that the FBI did not follow up the tip because of the White House honor. They simply did not find the tip true. As simple as that.

Once again, how stupid someone has to be that the FBI would cover up such a serious matter just because of an honor?

Here is the document in its full context:

2zrq9ag.jpg

FBI agents found a home-movie titled Michael Jackson’s Neverland Favorites An All Boy Video Anthology.

Once again manipulating by not adding the context. That video was not found in Michael's possession. It was found in someone's possession during a custum check. It had nothing to do with Michael other than that the owner (who was not Michael) decided to name it like that. BTW, when the FBI watched the tape there was nothing on it.

But other FBI files detail a late-night phone call from Jackson to Terry George, a boy of 13 in Leeds, with the singer describing how he was fondling himself during their chat. The young Brit had been befriended by the star in 1979 after asking for his autograph.

Again, there is nothing in the FBI files verifying Terry George's claims. The files simply contain cuts out of tabloids with George's claims, which simply shows the FBI monitored what tabloids wrote about the allegations. It's very telling though that authorities never used George's story against Michael. Here is an article which contains info about George and his allegations: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/t...ichael/page2?p=3863094&viewfull=1#post3863094

A 1992 file tells how a couple complained ***** and a boy of 12 shared a sleeper train compartment next to theirs – and kept them awake with “questionable noises”.

The file is not from 1992, but from 1993, after the Chandler scandal went public. Look at the date at the top of the document.

It's once again just a claim by someone that the FBI checked out, but obviously it did not lead them anywhere that could incriminate MJ as Sneddon never used this story. It was reported in August 1993, at a time when I guess a lot of people reviewed their experiences regarding Michael and looked for "suspicious" things in the hindsight of the allegations. "Questionable noises" is a very vauge term too.

By Jamba:

This train journey is discussed in Margaret Maldonado's book "Jackson Family Values." Her 2 sons with Jermaine traveled by train with MJ back to LA from Chicago. She said that when they returned, she was amazed her boys had done a lot of homework--which was unusual for them. Uncle Michael made sure tthey filled up their school notebooks.

I didn't know the background to this story is in Margaret Maldonado's book. Can you show me that part?

And in a separate FBI file obtained *exclusively by the Sunday People – and not included in the Freedom of Information papers – a costume designer said the singer ordered paedo magazines while touring Europe 35 years ago with the Jackson 5.

And they can't help but to throw in their own BS once again. No such thing exists in MJ's FBI files. Of course, the Sunday People obtained them "exclusively". Of course... They do obtain such things but people who matter, like Santa Barbara District Attorney, Tom Sneddon, never does. How convenient!

What a transparent and desperate agenda by The Mirror and Wade's team. As soon as the "secret FBI files" story is roundly discredited (even by the wretched Diane Dimond), they fire back with false analysis of the actual FBI docs that were released while continuing to include their original claim in the mix to try and build its credibility up again. Perhaps its no coincidence that I wrote quite a bit about every single one of these specific FBI pieces earlier this week on another MJ forum in response to another member. (Much of what I'm writing below is copy/paste from my prior response).

The FBI openly admits in the dossier it did not follow up the tip about the Mexican kids being abused “because Jackson was to receive an honour at the White House from the President”.

 Talk about twisting the facts. This claim came from a tabloid book writer (Christopher Andersen / Victor Gutierrez) long after the Chandler allegations broke. It is the tabloid source who alleged that an FBI investigation was open in the 80s but that it was covered-up because of the White House honor. In reality, the FBI did follow-up on this guy's claims (which again, only transpired many months after the Chandler scandal broke and many years after the alleged incident). The FBI "searched indices, both manual and automated for any reference to above mentioned investigation. No references [to any such investigation] were found."

But other FBI files detail a late-night phone call from Jackson to Terry George, a boy of 13 in Leeds, with the singer describing how he was fondling himself during their chat. The young Brit had been befriended by the star in 1979 after asking for his autograph.

Terry George told this story for the first time only after the Chandler allegations broke, and he did so via a paid story to The Sun tabloid. Again the FBI found no evidence to collaborate his claim after pursuing it, so the investigation was dropped.

FBI agents found a home-movie titled Michael Jackson’s Neverland Favorites An All Boy Video Anthology.

The FBI determined this video to be, at best, a "copy of a copy of a copy" recorded using a non-functioning VCR. It was basically corrupt video artifacts and wave lines, and all the technology at the FBI's disposal could not get any image out of it. They had the tape from October 1995 through November 1996, at which point they returned it with the conclusion it was nothing of substance and certainly not child porn. If there were even a hint that the tape contained any form of child pornography Michael Jackson would have been arrested and charged with a federal crime.

As a related footnote, in January '95 (10 months before the FBI received this alleged tape), Diane Dimond, using Victor as a source, alleged on Hard Copy and a radio program that there existed a 27-minute child porn tape that Michael himself recorded through security cameras at Neverland. She went into great detail and said she was 100% positive it existed but then gave excuses for why it wasn't turned over to authorities. Michael Jackson sued her, Victor, Hard Copy and the radio station for slander. The judge ultimately ruled in Michael's favor saying there was no evidence that such a tape existed (while awarding MJ $2.7 million). I would not doubt that a fake tape was created, deliberately corrupt, and passed along to SB/LA detectives to try and substantiate this claim when the court case was ongoing.

And in a separate FBI file obtained *exclusively by the Sunday People – and not included in the Freedom of Information papers – a costume designer said the singer ordered paedo magazines while touring Europe 35 years ago with the Jackson 5.

Oh look, another Mirror exclusive from their "secret FBI files." So, 35 years ago--when Michael was still in his late teens--he ordered pedo magazines in Europe according to an unnamed costume designer? This suggests that Michael must have been "obsessed with child porn" (as The Mirror wrote previously) for the entirety of his adult life. Of course, The Mirror won't dare mention how the FBI did all of the forensic tests on every one of Michael's many hard drives and other storage devices and each test found "NOTHING" thus the reason Michael was never charged with possession of child pornography in '93 or '03. These conclusive findings that Michael had no child porn are also contained in the public FBI files.

A 1992 file tells how a couple complained ***** and a boy of 12 shared a sleeper train compartment next to theirs – and kept them awake with “questionable noises”.

The woman even mentions in the report that the person in question on the train with Michael was identified as his cousin (the FBI wrote that in quotes as if there was doubt). She first told this story to an authoritative bureau only after the Chandler allegations broke, despite it taking place more than a year prior; Michael also had adult staff with him on the ride. It is believed this incident is the one Margaret Maldonado has mentioned, where her two sons when with MJ, and appears to be an obvious case of paranoia by the unnamed woman after she heard about the Chandler scandal. A complete non-story.

But no official action was taken in any of the cases spelt out in the documents.

Actually, action was taken for all of the "cases" spelt out in the FBI documents. It was only after the FBI concluded there was no evidence to proceed with each that they halted the investigations.

Edit: I was writing at the same time as Respect77; we share the same factual points. :flowers:

Most importantly, it didn't belong to him. It belonged to a random person it looks like from a UK customs. The only connection to MJ was the title on the tape.

I hope we don't see this costume designer story next week. I'm hoping the quick mention they gave to it here was all they'll say, as in reality it'll turn out to be as full of crap as their other stories, like the Mexican boys BS/tape/train/Terry George BS.

I'm curious of what kind of "paedo magazines" they sell in Europe so that Michael could just order them..

Moreover, how come no one ever found those paedo magazines in his possession? His premises were house searched several times both in 1993 and 2005. That Jackson family vault that was obtained by Henry Vaccaro is public domain. Yet, no one ever found any of those paedo magazines, despite of Michael being a pack rat. Odd.

MJ's super pedo ass always gets away with it despite of being so open about it. I mean ordering peado magazines and then letting some costume designer know about it is as open as it gets. Or doing all kind of sexual things with children in front of staff, like the LeMarques or Blanca Francia. It's like he's crying out for people to catch him, yet there's never any evidence, just claims coming from the most questionable sources, from people who sell their stories to tabloids for money.

It's so ironic that the Mirror and other tabloids always claim that MJ got away with things because of his money, because he paid off people left and right. Yet, there is not a single evidence of it. However we have plenty of evidence of the fact that tabloids pay big bucks to anyone who is willing to make child abuse allegations about MJ. That's the only proof of payments in this matter which exist. Many of the witnesses the prosecution used in 2005 had to admit on the stand that they were paid money by tabloids. But the media turn it around and make MJ look to be this guy who pays off people, when it's the other way around. And their sheep readers buy it...

Re: [Discussion] Michael Jackson Slandered By The Mirror

They are at it again. The Mirror (online) just wrote another article stating that the FBI hushed everything up because Michael was to be received by the president and they didn't want to embarass him (this dating back to the early 80's). What a load of *rap!!! These idiots will never stop, no matter what we say or do. And the comment section for the article is missing...

Mirror publishes another fraudulent Jackson 'FBI' story

A pattern is emerging here.

Today the Mirror has published a story claiming that FBI papers released in 2009 'admit' that an investigation into Michael Jackson was halted in the mid-80s to avoid political embarrassment, as Jackson was due to have a public meeting with President Reagan.

The story is a lie and I have to conclude that it is an intentional lie. This is the second time in eight days that the same organisation has run a completely inaccurate story based on 'FBI files' accusing Jackson of paedophilia. There are two possibilities. 1) The staff at the Mirror are completely incompetent. 2) They are smearing Michael Jackson with lies on purpose.

The story alleges that files 'admit' that Jackson was investigated for molesting two Mexican boys, but the investigation was called off because of the presidential meeting. The story is absolutely bogus.

Here is what the files really say:

After the Jordan Chandler allegations became public, a writer - not named in the files - contacted the FBI to say they had heard a rumour that Jackson was investigated for molesting two Mexican boys in the mid-80s, but the investigation had been called off for the reasons outlined in the Mirror's story.

These claims are made in the files solely by the anonymous writer, who had been unable to obtain any evidence at all that they were true. The only reason the claim appears in the files is that the writer had contacted the bureau to ask whether it was true. The bureau searched its records and found that the rumoured mid-80s investigation had never taken place - then wrote a document detailing the interaction with the writer, which is what the Mirror has intentionally chosen to misrepresent.

fbi84.jpg

So the document in the FBI file was written, specifically, to document the fact that a writer had called to enquire about a rumoured investigation, but the rumour was untrue. But the Mirror has chosen to totally misrepresent the contents of the document, omitting vital information, and state inaccurately that the writer's story was in fact true.

This story - like last week's - is not only bogus, but old. It was widely misreported in 2009 when the files were released. I addressed it on this very blog, in an article which wound up being quoted in J Randy Taraborrelli's 'The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story' as the only accurate assessment of the FBI files he was able to find.

This is the Mirror's emerging pattern; it takes a fabricated story which was discredited several years ago, pretends it is brand new, intentionally omits the fact that it is fabricated and uses it to smear Michael Jackson.

At this stage, I feel that serious questions need to be asked about what is really going on here.

FBI Files Support Jackson's Innocence; Media Reports Otherwise

http://charlesthomsonjournalist.blogspot.co.uk/2010/01/fbi-files-support-jacksons-innocence.html

I should begin by saying that the release of Michael Jackson's FBI file was not motivated by any desire to damage his legacy or smear his name. Many of Jackson's fans are understandably distrustful of the establishment which repeatedly pursued the star on trumped up charges, but the release of Jackson's FBI file is no conspiracy. Jackson's file was requested under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and I was one of those who requested it.

The FOIA allows members of the public to request classified or unattainable information held by any public body. The act is designed to uphold democracy by allowing citizens to scrutinise anything from local government budget reports to dossiers on UFO sightings. Requests can only be turned down for a handful of reasons, including privacy issues and national security.

When I requested Michael Jackson's FBI file, I wasn't even sure he had one. If he did, I had no idea what I would find in it. In Sammy Davis Jr's I found nothing but countless investigations into death threats sent to the singer. In James Brown's, however, I found an explosive re-telling of his infamous 1988 'car chase', which showed the authorities in a very poor light and contained numerous accusations of police brutality.

The FBI released roughly 300 pages on Jackson, constituting less than half of his overall file. The reason behind the withholding of the other half is yet to be made public, but it most likely consists of information on Jackson's dealings with still living figures of interest to the bureau - civil rights activists like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, and the various Middle Eastern businessmen and royals Michael Jackson befriended.

The released half of Jackson's FBI file supports the star's innocence entirely. Perhaps most notably, a lengthy report shows that when Jackson's Neverland Ranch was raided in 2003, the FBI went over every computer seized from the property with a fine toothcomb looking for any incriminating files or internet activity. Jackson's file contained individual summaries of the FBI's findings for each of the 16 computers. Scrawled in capital letters across each of those 16 reports - 'NOTHING'.

But not many media outlets included that nugget. In fact, numerous outlets - including the Daily Mail - inaccurately reported that the file did not include the bureau's findings.

On a more general level, the files reveal that it was not only the Los Angeles Police force which pursued Jackson for more than a decade and failed to produce one iota of information to connect the star to any crime - it was the FBI too. That Jackson's life was dissected and his bevahiour was investigated for more than 10 years by two major law enforcement agencies and not one piece of evidence was ever produced to indicate his guilt speaks volumes.

On the whole, the media didn't quite tell it that way, though.

The FBI file included numerous allegations reported to the bureau which, of course, the media at large bogusly reported as the bureau's own findings. So here is a breakdown of what the media told you existed in Jackson's FBI file, and what the file actually contained.

MYTH: Michael Jackson was investigated for possession of child pornography.

FACT: The FBI file includes analysis conducted on a videotape 'connected to Jackson' in order to ascertain whether or not it included child pornography. Some media outlets erroneously claimed that the tape had been seized from Neverland. In fact, the tape was seized by customs at West Palm Beach and there is no indication that it ever belonged to Jackson. The file states only that the tape was 'connected with Jackson' and the connection appears solely to be that the programme recorded onto the cassette had Jackson's name in the title.

The FBI file does not contain any indication that the tape included child pornography at all and certainly does not contain any indication that the tape was ever in the possession of Michael Jackson.

But that's not a particularly media-friendly story; a videotape that didn't belong to Michael Jackson was analyzed and didn't have child porn on it. So the media told their own story instead, working on the assumption that nobody would read the files to verify the facts for themselves.

MYTH: The FBI file reveals that Jackson was investigated in 1985 for molesting two Mexican boys.

FACT: An FBI officer recorded an allegation that the bureau had previously investigated Jackson in 1985 for the molestation of two Mexican boys. This allegation was made by an unnamed writer who said the story had been told to him during research for a book. The FBI searched its records and could find no evidence that any such allegation had ever been reported to them:

fbi84.jpg

... but the majority of media outlets failed to mention this important fact. A simple oversight, I'm sure...

MYTH: The FBI found a couple in the Phillippines who witnessed acts of molestation at Neverland.

FACT: This couple - Mark and Faye Quindoy - had worked at Jackson's Neverland Ranch between 1989 and 1991, but left in a dispute over pay. Between 1991 and 1993 neither ever made any complaint that Jackson behaved inappropriately around any child. However, after the 1993 allegations broke, the Quindoys began selling interviews about Jackson's alleged improper behaviour.

The pair's claims were suspect from the outset. They had left Neverland in 1991 in a pay dispute but were now telling tabloids that the reason behind their departure was that they were appalled by Jackson's behaviour around children - a provable fiction. Besides, if they had been so shocked and appalled by Jackson's behaviour, why had they not contacted the authorities?

Mark Quindoy's story changed repeatedly; the more money he was paid for his story, the more appalling the alleged molestation became. The prosecutors in the 1993 Jackson case sent two officers to Manila to interview the couple, but the officers concluded that 'their testimony was worthless and the credibility of their claims was highly questionable'.

MYTH: The FBI found that Jackson had engaged in phone sex with a British boy.

FACT: This story comes courtesy of The Sun.

The FBI file briefly references a newspaper story in which a man called Terry George claimed that Jackson, aged 19, had engaged in phonesex with him when he was just 13.

The Sun was rather proud that this story was referenced in the FBI file because it was the Sun which published it in the first place. As such, the newspaper was quick to toot its own horn with an 'FBI investigates Jackson over Sun's investigation' type fanfare.

In fact, the FBI did not investigate the claim and to date no evidence has been produced to support Terry George's story.

In its story about the FBI file, the Sun repeatedly referred to the phonecall between Jackson and Terry George as a matter of fact, even though no evidence has ever been produced to prove that the conversation ever took place.

George is a man of dubious character to say the least, currently owning a string of smutty phonesex companies. His story doesn't seem to add up, either. Despite Jackson's supposed inappropriate behaviour, George's website carries a photograph of himself with the star more than five years after the phonecall allegedly happened. The two still look like firm friends.

In subsequent interviews George has described how he lost touch with Jackson and resorted to behaviour which could be described as stalking - calling the Jackson all the time, hanging around outside his hotels, trying to bluff his way past Jackson's security. More than anything, George's interview with the Sun seemed like an act of jealous revenge by an embittered former acquaintance. Either way, the FBI found no merit to George's claim.

Why the estate don t sue the mirror and the sun for defamation in Europe is must more easier to win

Thank you so much for posting that. It's so obvious what's going on. This is a deliberate attempt to slander Michael Jackson right now. But someone needs to get down to the bottom of who's doing it. I really hope that Alan Duke, Roger Friedman, Charles Thomson or someone is behind the scenes trying to find out what's going on.

And in the meantime, I'm going to make another complaint to The Press Commission against this new Mirror article with the appropriate links and documentation everyone has posted here to point out their lies.

I seriously doubt that's real. And unless I see further verification, I don't believe for a minute it's real.

You know I really want to do something really painful to that reporter of the mirror article. The article is pure evilness. The mirror article can be easily debunked because the FBI files exist. Unfortunately few are going to read the actual report, which is how the tabloids get away with this trash.

Michael Jackson child abuse probe halted because he was to receive White House honour from President

<time itemprop="datePublished" datetime="2013-07-06T23:00:00" class="published-date" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; right: 0px; border-left-width: 1px; border-left-style: solid; border-left-color: black; padding-left: 5px;">

An FBI probe into Michael Jackson&#8217;s sex abuse of young boys was shelved because he&#8217;d been invited to the White House, official records show.

The disclosure &#8211; in papers released under America&#8217;s Freedom of Information Act &#8211; comes a week after the Sunday People revealed Jackson spent 23million in 15 years to buy the silence of at least 24 youngsters who had visited his Neverland ranch in California.

The Reagan document is part of a 333-page file made public by the FBI which show there were suspicions the singer had been abusing kids since at least 1978, when he was 20.
FBI agents found a home-movie titled Michael Jackson&#8217;s Neverland Favorites An All Boy Video Anthology.

And in a separate FBI file obtained *exclusively by the Sunday People &#8211; and not included in the Freedom of Information papers &#8211; a costume designer said the singer ordered paedo magazines while touring Europe 35 years ago with the Jackson 5.

The revelations underline the huge influence wielded by Jackson, who died of an overdose in 2009 aged 50.

The FBI openly admits in the dossier it did not follow up the tip about the Mexican kids being abused &#8220;because Jackson was to receive an honour at the White House from the President&#8221;.

He was back at the White House in 1990 to meet President George Bush Snr, wife Barbara and their daughter Dorothy.

There was no mention of any abuse probe at that stage.

But other FBI files detail a late-night phone call from Jackson to Terry George, a boy of 13 in Leeds, with the singer describing how he was fondling himself during their chat. The young Brit had been befriended by the star in 1979 after asking for his autograph.

A 1992 file tells how a couple complained ***** and a boy of 12 shared a sleeper train compartment next to theirs &#8211; and kept them awake with &#8220;questionable noises&#8221;.

But no official action was taken in any of the cases spelt out in the documents.

&#8216;Abused&#8217; boy: Files show I told truth

A dancer who claims Michael Jackson sexually abused him said our *revelations about the FBI files last week &#8220;shows I was telling the truth&#8221;.

Wade Robson, 30, suing the King of Pop&#8217;s estate, has asked his legal team to get hold of the files on the hush money Jackson paid boys.

Lawyer Maryann R. Marzano is hoping the FBI will turn over boxes of information on the allegations and wants to contact other victims, cops, Neverland staff, and *investigators.

Choreographer Wade claims he was molested over seven years. A source close to him said: &#8220;He feels this could become a key part of his case, that he is not the only child who may have suffered at Jackson&#8217;s hands.&#8221;

Jackson&#8217;s estate says Robson&#8217;s allegations are &#8220;completely false, outrageous and sad&#8221;.

Bottom line
"But no official action was taken in any of the cases spelt out in the documents. "

James Desborough needs waterboarded to get down to what's really going on here.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ The first story must have been very profitable .. so they give us more to make more money from us. And we all know how we do that. lets not post the links here - If we are posting the whole article the links are not necessary -

Don't link Just name the source : Mirror UK or Mirror UK/new

This story is now on the Daily Mail UK website. I guess I won't post a link.

But they have a comment section open. I have posted several items to debunk their story, and they are censoring my posts. They will not let them through. They have no problem letting through posts calling Michael nasty names, hoping his children read that story, etc., but will not allow the truth to be shown. What does that tell you?

Disgraceful reporting, but I'd expect nothing else from The Mirror - they are one of the lowest of the low in terms of tabloids. It's just a shame that some of these so called journalists can get away with such deliberate fabrications and twisting of the truth. They know exactly what they are doing, yet they have no qualms about slandering a dead man. It is disgraceful.

This isn't even like the Jimmy Saville case where the guy was never properly investigated. MJ was investigated thoroughly TWICE and went through a grueling 5 month trial, and yet was never convicted of any crime.

Ar least Alan Duke is doing some good things:

WOW...that tabloid is very desperate and pathetic! They know damn well the Real MJ FBI files clear the man of any wrongdoing, so they first makeup crap and now twist the real FBI files to make MJ look guilty! But, this crap won't fly in a court room! It never did and never will. He wasn't even arrested or charged in 93 because of no evidence and he won the 05 trial. So they can try and desperately help WADE all they want (which is what's going here) but, at the end of the day it won't work cause what they allege they can't prove and the FBI disproves!

I don't know what it is like in the UK but in the USA reporting something like this could cost the person who wrote it or reported it there job. The press seems to run things in the UK

I hope Alan Duke writes another article debunking this tabloid's story's lies too. That would be great. They can't just get away with this.

I think what would be a great story for any investigative journalist would be to expose how some of these tabloids work. The real story is that these Mitteager tapes contain material which exonerate Michael, but tabloids would never report that (well, except for Roger Friedman who did report in 2005 all the content of the Mitteager tapes regarding Michael).

It would also be a good story to point out how these tabloids accuse MJ of paying off people, when it's the tabloids which are doing that! There was never any proof of Michael paying anyone off for silence (and no, the settlements with the Chandlers and Francias are not "hush money" in that regard, since those settlements came after those allegations already went public and to authorities), but there's plenty of evidence of the tabloid media paying off people to make up lies about MJ. And the Sunday People know that damn well! One of those stories is right there on those Mitteager tapes! And we know how many of the prosecution's witnesses in 2005 got payments from tabloids. So those are documented FACTS, yet they are accusing Michael of paying off people? The nerve!

If there would be a brave investigative journalist it could be a good story. But I don't think there are many journalists who have the guts to expose their own industry.

So now that the Sunday People's so called "FBI files" from last week have been exposed for what they are they took Michael's real FBI files and try to twist that around into something that it's not by taking them out of context and omitting parts.

Once again manipulating by not adding the context. That video was not found in Michael's possession. It was found in someone's possession during a custum check. It had nothing to do with Michael other than that the owner (who was not Michael) decided to name it like that. BTW, when the FBI watched the tape there was nothing on it.

By Jamba:

I didn't know the background to this story is in Margaret Maldonado's book. Can you show me that part?

And they can't help but to throw in their own BS once again. No such thing exists in MJ's FBI files. Of course, the Sunday People obtained them "exclusively". Of course... They do obtain such things but people who matter, like Santa Barbara District Attorney, Tom Sneddon, never does. How convenient!

Respect, I read Maldonado's book on jetzi, but when I looked just now, it's not there any more. Maldonado lived with Jermaine for 7 years and her book is very very interesting, to say the least. She talks about the TV miniseries about the Jackson family, which was very successful. MJ went back to LA by train with her 2 sons. She writes about the mini series quite a bit and mentions the train ride in passing. I think the justification the LA DA (Garcetti) used to get the FBI on board to investigate MJ after the Chandler accustaion came from this train ride--b/c they could use the Mann Act (refers to crossing state lines to commit a crime) and make the investigation outside of California and thus call in the Feds. I am thinking this was a woman who read the accusations, recalled the earlier train ride, and felt she had to/should report what could have been a suspicious incident. Who she reported it to is unclear--maybe to the LAPD. When Maldonado wrote the book she mentioned in the train ride and just spoke about how happy she was that he had the boys do their homework!

Can the Mirror etc be reported to the UK commission that oversees the tabs? I realize that commission has been horribly ineffective but maybe after the phone-hacking stuff blew the whole thing wide open they might pay more attn now? If it gets reported at least they can't say they never heard about this abuse of a deceased person's reputation and if they do nothing, it's on a record.

Edit: I see that GreenEyedOne is doing that--thanks!!!

I agree VG is the one who told the FBI about the hypothetical Mexican boys--Orth mentions this in one of her hit pieces--how she tried to track this rumor down (of course she was always looking for something to smear MJ with) and how she came up with nothing. She did get in contact with VG however. It's interesting to me that many used VG as a 'source' to give legitimacy to their journo crap about MJ but VG was not called in 05 b/c the 'real world' knew he was not credible at all. I would love it if someday VG would be put in court under oath. I guess he was in the defamation suit. Have you looked at his testimony, respect?

I found this re Margaret Maldonado--published in 05

"Not everyone in the Jackson family is being supported by Michael Jackson or Janet Jackson.
Meet Margaret Maldonado, the ex-common-law wife of Jermaine Jackson and mother of two of his sons, Jeremy (18) and Jourdynn (16).
Margaret, who's 40, has an incredibly successful business representing photographers and stylists in Hollywood. Her Web site &#8212; www.margaretmaldonado.com &#8212; speaks for itself.
At last, someone in the family has gotten up off the couch and done something with her life.
Margaret's followed the playbook invented by Jackie Onassis for her kids, Caroline Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr., and raised them away from the glare of their famous family.
I spoke to Margaret recently about her son Jeremy's interview last December with Santa Barbara County sheriff's deputies. The investigators were following up on rumors that something inappropriate had happened between Michael and Jeremy.
Margaret says nothing could be further from the truth.
"We were shocked," she told me. "They waited until he turned 18 and was home alone. They knocked on the door one afternoon. We couldn't believe it."
Maldonado says she raised her two kids completely separated from the Jacksons. She was never married to Jermaine, but they were together for seven years. She says she's never received a penny of child support, even though she has a court order for it.
"I just said, 'Forget it.' It wasn't worth going to court and fighting with him. I knew I could make it on my own."
She does not use the Jackson name, and until I called, had never made her association with the family public."
