I am glad this is over but yes there will be appeal in the work but their all did agree on one thing and that is AEG did hire Murray.

Why waste the time to come back with just one question ask this could have been over along time ago.

The plaintiffs are Michael's mother and children. I know a lot of you hate them because are Jackson's but they are still his mother and children and noone else was a plaintiff.

No one here hates Michael's children.

Happy that this unhappy chapter is now over. Hope the family decide not to appeal and move on. In my view this case hasn't achieved anything but damage the wonderful resurgence in Michael's popularity, tarnish his name and invade his privacy and caused Paris' suicide attempt. Oh, Michael, rest in peace. We miss you so much.

I'm angry because this mess could have been avoided. MJ did not deserve to have his name sullied like this. for what? $40 billions? really?

Cant belive 5 months ago this trial started. Thank God its over now.

We've heard so many sad and hurtful stuff being said about Michael and we all have got an insight in this show business world. Imagine that Michael have been part of that world for 45 years. He has seen and heard so many things that we could never fathom. How did he do it?

I believe it put pressure on MJ which ultimately made him to seek out drastic measurement to find some peace. I will never blame Michael because its a very dark and lonely world.

I hope Katherine and the children will find peace and be able to look forward.

Not a chance.

Although Murray was qualified to do the job, he ended up not doing it. he completely deviated from the basic standard of care. his so-called appeal won't work.

You're so right on this. If the jury believes that AEG hired Conrad, they also believe AEG didn't hire Conrad to give the treatment Conrad gave to Michael. I take as if the jury is saying what happened during those nights was between Michael and an incompetent doctor who decided to go outside his area of knowledge.

I don't think some AEG people were nice to Michael but that doesn't make them responsible for what Conrad did. I truly believe the Jacksons know that but they went with the trial only for money & not because they care about Michael.

Michael made it clear, the only ones he wanted to benefit out of his death was his children & his mother, for as long as she lives, and it should remain that way.

Please will you stop with all the emotional blackmail. I'm sure he'd be proud of the same woman sullying his name with a frivolous lawsuit while exploiting his kids. one even nearly committed suicide.
Katherine deserves a lot more backlash than she gets, this woman has been hiding behind her age for way too long. The audacity of her to drag Michael through the mud once again, to attach his minor children's names to this pitiful lawsuit in order to secure more $$ is inexcusable. I'm dreading what else she got cooking in order to get her greedy hands on the money, the fact that one of his children was on the verge of suicide partly because of this lawsuit, yet her lawyers used it to their favor speaks more than volumes. The plain sight of Katherine disgusts me.
As for Conrad Murray, I still pray for a miracle to happen and him to just meet his end in jail before he is released. I wish him nothing but evil, death itself is too easy for Conrat, he deserves to suffer for the rest of his pitiful life.

As long as Randy is still around, it won't happen. This was his lawsuit.

that's the tragedy.

if murray had been a millionaire
or more kj would have not sued AEG. she was prepared to have her son trashed so her other kids didnt have to work and pay their own bills.they were prepared to sacrifice mj and let his killer make a few bucks if it ment the j.sons could become billionaires. that shows u the love and respect they have for michael.

no doubt they will play the grieving family card when murray starts cashing in. in complete denial that it is their greed that caused it.

I pray and hope for Michael to rest in peace, may his soul finally find some peace, God knows the poor guy deserves it so much. He was above and beyond anyone, so special and so different, heaven sent IMHO.

So your celebrating that the man who killed Michael has just been given a free pass and that Michael's grieving mother and children have lost their case against the people who they believed were partly responsible and bemoaning Randy Jackson who was not a plaintiff in the first place.

I’m celebrating the mental picture of Randal and his sister Rebbie mourning the loss of 1.5 billion dollars! They couldn’t muster up any passion against Conrad Murray mistreating and murdering Michael but I’m sure they are filled with grief over their failure to shake down AEG. Hee, hee!

You have no way of knowing the suicide attempt was connected to the trial. Michael adored his mother and would be ashamed of the abuse she gets.

Kinda disappointed but I get Answer to number 2 being NO! He was hired just to be a regular doctor to MJ nothing else. But, The fact that AEG HARPED on how they NEVER hired Murray and the Jury said THEY DID... is like WTH...close but no cigar! All I wanted was justice I do believe AEG was to hard on MJ and disrespectful! Understand they didn't know about the propofol though! But, I hate that Murray and his stupid lawyer will flip flop the answer to number 2 as if he was an awesome doc and it's all Mjs fault! The general public will not understand answer to number 2 and some media people will not explain it right! This sucks!

At least we know how badly AEG treated Michael and I hope they are ashamed by that.

Yes. AEG were jerks. If i see Randy Phillips, I'll probably kick him in the nuts.

but AEG did not cause MJ death. they did not force or even ask Murray to pomp MJ with propofol and deviate from the basic standards of care.

Murray is the killer. and shame on the Jacksons for letting him free because he has children to feed, well according to KJ.

Actions always speak louder than a million words, and theirs have been loud and clear ever since that Thursday night in mid summer 09.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Inside Men's Central Jail, Conrad Murray is in the final month of his incarceration, finishing a two-year term for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. His official release date is Oct. 28.

"For him, every night is an eternity," said Murray's appeals lawyer Valerie Wass.

Wass says Murray has been following the five-month civil case in which jurors are asked if concert promoter AEG Live hired him, and if so, were they negligent in supervising him.

Wass believes the jury may get stuck on the second question on the verdict form, which is essential for the Jackson attorneys to prove to win the lawsuit. The question is: "Was Conrad Murray unfit or incompetent to perform the work for which he was hired?"

Wass say Murray's understanding of the work for which he was hired was to treat Jackson's dehydration after laborious performances.

"There was no mention of any sleep issues or addiction issues or addiction issues or anything like that. In fact my client has maintained all along that he did not know about Jackson's addiction and that Jackson kept that from him," said Wass.

Wass says Murray's record shows he was fit as an internist to provide basic medical care for Jackson and his family.

The Jackson attorneys assert that AEG created a conflict of interest for Murray and that they should have looked further into the doctor's financial background to find out he was in debt. Wass rejects that reasoning.

"What is the difference if you and I go into a doctor, and a doctor is having financial problems and the doctor recommends surgery? Should we question it because the doctor is having financial difficulties? We wouldn't know that," said Wass.

Speaking from jail, Murray maintains he did not deliver the fatal dose of propofol and that he wants the medical board to restore his license. Wass is appealing his conviction.

"I'm pretty certain that if his conviction is affirmed on appeal that he would lose his license. If that doesn't occur, then it will be a fight to prove that what happened was an aberration and not something that speaks of his entire history and ability as a doctor," said Wass.

Meantime, the jury has not reached a verdict in the wrongful death trial. Jurors return on Wednesday to continue deliberations.

Re: Verdict Watch - Discussion- Katherine Jackson vs AEG

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!! FACTS WON, NOT EMOTIONS!!!

At this time I want to thank all those factual people who posted in the thread including Ivy, QBee, Bubs, Jamba, Crillon, LastTear, Krognex, etc., etc, etc. It was so good having discussions based on the documents and facts. Thanks everyone!!!

I couldn't care less about the appeal, because they rarely win those. After the closing arguments, I told Putnam he would win, if the jury looked at facts.

It is not right that Randy should make his mother file a case when they knew it would cause all this man's business to be all over the place. You cannot shame your brother and then get money off that shame.

I am very happy with this verdict, and I am proud of the jury.

Ivy when the jury talk, can you ask the foreman if he could do a Q&A about question #1 or all of them?

MJ would have been ashamed of the abuse he continues to suffer at the hand of his mother.

She couldn't even seek restitution from his killer.

exactly. the j.sons have shown exactly what they thought of mj from day one with their actions. they have shown nothing but contempt for him inorder to incase their bank balances. no wonder mj spent his adult life attaching himself to random families

Just a question...

I get Murray was hired as Michaels regular doctor but Murray must have seen Michael detoriating as well. He knew AEG were on him (meeting at the house indicated they were alarmed of what was going on with Michael), AEG talked with him and Dileo asked him to take a blood test on Michael. He knew what he was doing.

He continued to give MJ propofol and there are no evidence he stopped with that. Murray did not pull out and refer Michael to a specialist. Isnt that what a doctor being there for general care should have been able to do in any case??? To take care of the patient?
