8 tracks might not seem much, but i'm really ok (and thankful) with it since we get the deluxe. There's a big chance they really reduced it to the "core" killer material and leaving more incomplete tracks off (from this album).
But I think the normal and deluxe will both be 1-disc versions, otherwise they would have mentioned a second disc imo.

Exactly. - Quality over quantity !!

8 PERFECT songs are better than 12 ok songs.... Thriller is a great example of that !!

Quality is everything !!!

John Mclain is not good... he has no idea how to pick good songs.. He produced 'You are my Life' on Invincible and it didn't belong on there.

And? John coproduced it but Michael is the one that put it on there. And McClain was the producer of This Is It, Behind the Mask and Much Too Soon, three of the best songs to come since Michael died. He knows how to reproduce things (even though he isn't perfect at it). Besides, this album wasn't put together by him, but rather by L.A. Reid.

I just realized Xscape - Xperia, makes sense.

And I like the release date 05.13.2014 it adds up to 7 in numerology (1+6=7)

I like the cover, better than for Michael album. I am waiting for the tracklist.

I like the cover too. - Futuristic - it fits the title song - Xscape. - I think MJ would have loved some escapism/futuristic for the cover.

Can't wait for the tracklist neither!!

Waiting for ages then BAM! Perfect title. Great modern cover. 8 perfect tracks, no filler. Classic MJ.

Hi everyone. I'm excited for the new album because the deluxe version will have the songs in their original form. I don't mean to be a party pooper but I do not want to hear any production from Timbaland. I will we waiting up until 12:00 midnight to view the tracklist and pre order it.

I think we should all work together to get all the versions of Xscape and the other tracks offline (youtube, soundcloud etc) so people don't try to get the songs before release...

I could not agree more!! - Xscape is the title I had hoped Michael would get - and the title I have hoped the new album would get ever since Michael!! - Perfect song, perfect album title!!

AND - cover looks great. - And yeah classic MJ to have only hit song material! - Every song should be a single, no fillers!! - 8 hits would be amazing! - Imagine if he got a few number 1 hits. - AND the album also reached #1 !!

Yeah there is. On iTunes there have been multiple albums put up for preorder without giving a track listing--each song is listed as "Track 01," "Track 02" and so on. A good example is JT's 20/20 Experience (2 of 2). If they do release the track listing tomorrow I'll be surprised.

And also we should try to pre-order as many people as we can until 13th May, so the album will have a big boost of sales.

I personally sent links regarding the new album to all the TV/Radio music channels in Romania.

What picture are you watching?? - His mouth - looks like he has a lot of lipstick on... - Behind the round thing that goes up in front of his face... - Lips are a little feminime, but you do not see them very clearly - so it's no problem. - But it sure looks like he has lipstick on if you look carefully at the mouth...

Do preorders account towards first week album sales? If not, preordering may severely hurt it. In any case I'm not preordering. I love buying physical CDs so I'll head out towards the store on that day.

Yeah I don't really mind if half (or more) of the album is based on previously leaked material. First of all because it will be nice to have official releases of these leaked demos, where things like quality and volume will be consistent across the board, and secondly because there might actually be parts or versions of some of them that we haven't heard in the leaked stuff. We know different versions exist of several other unreleased songs so there's no guarantee that the leaked Xscape, Blue Gangsta, etc. are the only versions of those songs in existence.

Also, it seems some of my absolute favorite unreleased / leaked material -- A Place with No Name, Blue Gangsta, Slave to the Rhythm and Xscape -- will make it onto the album and I want the world to hear these songs.

I hate being the negative nelly here but I'll only be truly satisfied if the album has no less than four brand new recordings that have never been heard. If it's any more than that I won't get it. I'm fine with releasing leaked songs but this is a new album. That implies that new songs should be released.

Would be great if the commercial was some kind of space setting with voice over+ music, the "round thing" rotating around MJ, sometimes revealing the whole face and then BAM, stand still and it will zoom out and become the album cover!

I'm convinced there will be some surprises on the album yet as well. I'm hoping it's mostly rhythmic and upbeat and that the "ballad" will be APWNN. Maybe even something like Madonna's Confessions On A Dancefloor where all the songs sonically are merged together to create a whole Xperience!

I will preorder on iTunes - BUT also go to a store and buy the physical CD. - Many copies maybe. Two normal and two deluxe - one I will never open - but keep in my MJ collection.

Do we know what ever became of Joy? Didn't Teddy Riley say he had given a copy to the estate?

The last thing Teddy said was that he was still looking for it in his basement. He's a total jackass for that. More than likely he lost it entirely.
