I would love us to get some news tomorrow, like the tracklist, single info or a longer preview. I can't see it though, because then there would be no more news to announce or less anyways.

So if JT rumour is true.. on which song do you guys think he is featured?

Maybe Chicago 1945? Because that is the only song that we don't know if MJ recorded full complete vocals.

That's the point I was raising. However it is possible they gave it to Timbaland to do.

I do hope they keep michael's sound intact on the new versions. I don't really like the drums on the teasers we've heard of slave and xscape. I sounds yeah to timbaland but i really like timbaland

It doesn't necessarily mean he's singing on the album. Timberlake does production work as well. Justin Timberlake, J-Roc and Timbaland had produced some songs on Beyonce's last album for example.

It was announced today that on May 13th Epic Records, in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson, will release XSCAPE, an album of new music by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. XSCAPE is executive produced by Epic Records Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid. After mining by the Estate of Jackson’s archives, Reid was granted unlimited access to the treasures spanning four decades of material on which Jackson had completed his vocals. Reid then teamed up top producers to “contemporize” the songs while retaining Jackson’s essence and integrity, creating the best music you’ve never heard.

So you reckon definitely no CGYWOOM?

With vinyl sales on the up, and the vinyl release of Bad 25, I wonder if there's any plans to release Xscape on vinyl. I do hope so.

I LOVE the xscape snippet! The original is good, but if you want to attract more people than just fans, this sounds really good!

Maybe. But I think he has some form of vocals on one of the songs. Maybe ad-libs. We'll see. Because he obviously didn't write any material on the album. Unless if it's a new verse which he sings.

Yes.

And someome sent a mail asking about Vinly release, and got a reply saying they will look into it. I think it was to the MJ online team mail.

If anyone has ever pre-ordered a album on itunes. They give you the tracklist before but obviously you cant sample them until its been released. So my guess is, we will all get the tracklisting tomoz :) in maybe just over 2 hours time

Oh, and JT didn't produce anything for Beyonce'. He co-wrote the songs "Blow" and "Rocket". The production was handled by Timbaland and J-Roc. I asked J-Roc himself.

i dont know if that was said before... but to me this artwork/album cover, whatever it is, shows to me a loudspeaker, a membrane. the membrane includes the universe, the space, a place somewhere else and michael and his music, comes through this. in the middle is the black hole and he want to "Xscape", or use this hole to get connected wih his music to earth. cool nice idea.
but for an album cover no the right choice.

I will be really dissapointed when "Love never felt so good" is on the track list.
I just hoped for 4 never heard tracks at least and maybe one that we almost don't know that's exist. (2 after the Invincible era at least) But it seems that we'll get only 2 unheard tracks. She was lovin me and Chicago 1945. And no new track after the Invincible era. Hope for the best.

Obviously excited for this but I really hate the cover. Way too feminine and photoshopped. Hate it enough to want start a petition to change it.

An album of unreleased recordings by the late Johnny Cash was released on CD and vinyl in the UK today.

Most vinyls are released at the same time as other formats.

never heard that the people prefer crap mixes against iconic michael jackson tracks.
Escape is the REAL title.

By customers, I'm assuming you mean the hard core fan community.

The general public doesn't care where the songs came from or what mix they are; they simply judge them on how they hear them. I have a close friend who loves the album cut of Hollywood Tonight and was surprised when I told him that it wasn't the version Michael last approved. Same with Hold My Hand and Much Too Soon.

But in any case, he doesn't care. He's just happy that he has the song.

To be honest, I have a feeling there won't be a second disc, but rather Sony will tack on the eight demos at the end of the first disc. Sixteen songs is perfect for a single CD, assuming that the songs aren't overtly long.

Why are people interested in snippets of remixed / material when we're going to get the originals / outtakes, mixed and mastered?!. No matter how dope these remixes sound I highly doubt they'll sound as great as Michael's original versions. Can you imagine a better 2014 version for Blue Gangster. I doubt it. I'm only interested in the other (original) half of this album. I don't care if Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake or even Justin Bieber are featured on the remixes.
