Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

I swear The demo for Do You Know Where Your Children Are is so vintage and retro it could actually be released in that state and be a smash :D

Kinda sounds like a Janet song from the 80s, doesn't it? :)

Ofcourse not, that's why I invested 5 figures of my hard-earned money in my system...

Xscape is more cohesive than the 2010 offering that was the 'MICHAEL' album, it provides a more intimate sound and a more complete finish to Michael's recording's... the estate have gone full out with this project, giving the fans the original demo's which i admire massively, it is awesome that we have two Darkchild productions of the title track but, Michael's vocals are so much more prominent in the 2010 mix, especially where his baritone on ''chaaange'' goes wild, the line ''she's only twelve years old'' on the demo of do you know where your children are is also extremely unique, the demo of loving you places you in heaven.. whilst walking among the angels and hearing them thrive exquisite through there harps, Michael's voice captures the essence of all beauty.

Dangerous - 1991

Xscape - 2014

I must say, Dangerous has more powerful sound, style, beats, composing... These beats are not like Michael Jackson style...

Listen 2BAD and listen Xscape
Listen Scream and listen Slave To The Rhyjtm
Jam
In The Closet
Tabloid Junkie
Ghosts
...
...

Any Michael Jackson's song is different than the other Michael Jackson's song... These beats sounds like on any album.

Didn't like it, sorry.

Best song is Xscape (original version)

Do You Know Where Your Children Are : Leaked one is much better than this.

----

To Estate : I don't want to hear any song from these producers again, sorry. Just release Michael's demo as Michael did.

WOW! Don't mind if I do!

Nothing can come close to "I can't help it" on 180gram vinyl on this system... They say Michael is dead, but he's in my living room every night.

I'm not gonna pretend I know what that means lol But I'm sure it's outstanding :D

It's just a heavier Vinyl than the usual records, the weight gives it more stability and it will last longer. Digital productions have their place, but no one can tell me that it's better than analog. I'm 35, not a really old fart(I hope!) and yet it's crystal clear to me. I force every guest to go through a listening comparison and they all agree.

Re: News and discussion about new MJ album : Xscape, May 13, 2014.

I think the producers had to cut their Remakes, thats why we are missing a few Outros and Intros... like in Chicago or Xscape

Now all songs fit on one Disc (74min)

Thats a very important negative point. (They may had to cut them to make space for the JT Bonustrack):D

Indeed!

I believe that the 2010 remixes of DYKWYCA and STTR for the Michael cd where actually better than the 2014 remixes on Xscape. They are actually not that far away from the originals because they followed the theme of the Michael cd, i.e., the attempt to complete or remix the song as if Michael would have completed it; in their view of course.

This is a remix cd not a Michael cd. Please understand the word "contemporize" is a selling tool as no one would buy a remix cd. The 2010 remixes actually could have been on the deluxe if they included a separate cd and put the 2014 LNFSG on the separate disc and put HFITS in its place as the 17th song with the original as a hidden track.

More Jerkins' Xscape posts that I enjoyed:

The new mix of the title track just keeps getting better and better, i didn't expect there to be any room for improvement... but i was gladly proven wrong, Darkchild worked magic.. it's fresh, creative, vibrant... everything the original version needed.

I absolutely love the new version of Xscape, but the thing that would make it just a little bit better in my book is if they had kept the snippet with the woman singing.

Yeah, its def starting to grow on me. If anything, Xscape should be the next single, assuming its from the new versions. One thing I thought could have been better with this track is if they took out some of the horn/saxophone sounds. I think they over used it.

The problem with the analogue is the cracklings and the background noise which you do not have on the digital.

Dangerous - 1991

Xscape - 2014

What's the point in comparing it to Dangerous? It's been communicated several times that this album does not try to pose as a MJ studio album. People should accept it for what it is and not try to compare it to MJ's studio albums while he was alive. Of course, it will never be like that.

As if we needed to ask him. We go there and that's the way it is. He has nothing to say.

lmao, exactly...I'm already there, hence, the gif I posted earlier :D

Hehe, I thought we agreed to stop with the negativity :beach::assassin::big_boss::D

(I kid, I kid...)

True but it barely happens if you take good care of your records and use archival sleeves. I have 30 year records with no crackles.

Well I've been using analogue throughout the 80s, and started using the digital as for the 90s. No more "noise of reduction" buttons on the hi-fi sets (except for the cassettes). If now I listen to the analogue it would be more out of nostalgia.
