What will the Estate release this year?

The black shirt concert was shot on BetaCam, they first acquired film camera's for the red shirt show! anyway, i wanna see Aintree 1988 with the song's that were only performed in 1987 from Brisbane/Sydney & Tokyo September 13th as bonus' ;)

:( Damn, the full black suit killed it, so bad it was not shot on film.
Yeah, Aintree with 1987 bonus could be awesome too.

After BAD 25, I think it's going to be awhile until we see something from the BAD era again. So I wouldn't get my hopes up for BAD Tour on Blu Ray any time soon

But I do hope I'm wrong

I've seen that John Landis needed Estate's permission for Thriller 3D release, so it's not there release. And if they put this to theater, it will be private sessions.

- absolutely 100 % off topic

Why is it that in Michael Jackson & The Jacksons Live Victory Tour Toronto, Canada (1984) MJ uses a mic with wire most of the concert - and then suddenly during Beat it and Billie Jean - he uses a wireless mic??

Why on earth not have the wireless mic all concert. - when he spins with the wire he has to jump back the other way around a few times to be released from the wire - and anyway it gives more freedom on stage to not have a wire...?
That is so interesting-I need to go pull the Victory tour up on YouTube and look again-I always thought the first time he used a wireless mike was in the BAD tour.

And I guess I'm dense-but I had always thought that he was doing a dance step there-it was just in the last few years I noticed that he was actually untangling himself from the cords.

Could they make a new Thriller documentary and retrospective (with the video in 3D at the end) for a limited Halloween engagement in cinemas? And then follow it quickly with the Blu-ray including the original Making Of presentation in time for Christmas?

If they were going to try to get this in theatres then I can't see it being done any other way. Other than maybe preceding a major feature film as others have said.

It's about the only thing I can see the Estate doing this year. Landis has been pushing for this for a while now it seems and he's got some more money to make now they've ironed out their differences.

I would also call for MJ's videos in Blu-ray as I have done many times before.

I just wish for more This Is It footage! Would be great for other things theatrically released!

Great idea Chris, i would love them to create a new 2 hour documentary with some interviews featuring Michael & John from those video sessions! maybe some new insight by Landis also? him talking about Michael's process, what he wanted and Michael directing the dancers, maybe an extended dance rehearsal showing Michael striving for perfection perhaps.. their'd be no point in including 'Can You Feel It' though, like on the original VHS.. but that is just my opinion!

I agree with you MJJ19582009, the estate really should show the world those unseen rehearsals! if they desire, they can create a completely new edit of the film featuring alternate dates etc.! and include the 6 unseen song's, June 23rd & 24th performances of 'Dangerous' appear to be wonderful from the photo's/snippets.. on a slightly different note, can anyone guess the track were Michael is in the bright green jacket and Judith is with him on stage and Michael jumps high and spreads his arms? doesn't appear to be IJCSLY. Anyway, i think such release should happen in 2019!

I'm not entirely sure what song it is (Haven't watched This Is It for a while now, neither have I seen the trailer for years... as badass as they are!) but sometimes studios release trailers with footage in them that is later cut out, sometimes it's entire scenes alltogether or they swap the trailer shot for an alternative angle/take in the final cut.

So it could just be a shot included in one of the multiple TV shots/trailers that was later cut out of the final cut... good starting point for you :)

I'm pretty sure it's IJCSLY. I don't think Judith would be there for any other song.

The footage in the fan made trailer is from the trailer and Blu-Ray! it's not one of the rehearsals that are in the film, their are 6 song's that Michael performed that have yet to be seen.. whether or not these will be released in the future.. that is unknown! but i think they are wonderful, i love Michael's focus on making this Tour the best it can be.. for the 10th anniversary, their should be something fantastic!

Also what about the numerous special features on the Blu-ray/DVD? They actually had a great series of special features on both formats so it could also be from there :)

And yeah, would be awesome if they did an extended edition in the coming years, similar to what Peter Jackson has done with The Lord of the Rings!

I was disappointed with the special features on the Blu-Ray, only one i enjoyed was the Dancing Machine featurette! i understand why they are holding back the unseen performances though, so much potential for them + the behind the scenes, brainstorming etc.

I wouldn't expect anything lavish or expensive for the remainder of the contract.

There's a slim to none chance that Dangerous25 will happen - and even in the case that it does there won't be a multi-disc box set with a remastered tour and all the memorabilia fans are begging for. Bad25 sold poorly enough that Sony probably won't want to gamble on such an expensive feat.

At best we'll get a second disc with a few new songs. Don't expect the world here.
