This is it extended version - release?

God I keep trying to forget 90% of what Zaldy came up with

Quite sure the pic is from Bad tour. I've got a poster that looks almost exactly like that.

Taking 'Smooth Criminal' as an example, it seems they may have had a few outfits.. they had the jacket that was gonna be on fire on June 23rd!

Damn Sony! I don't get why they let us wait so long... It's not fair. They know that the die hard fans over here would do a murder just to see the whole footage

Me too. I really hated his Black Or White costume. The simple white shirt, white t.shirt, black pants and knee pads is perfect for that song.

i actually serious am loving his leather jacket that he wore during the rehearsal, looked incredible on him! worked very well with that laser jacket.

The outfits that MJ wore at rehearsals were better than most of Zaldy's outfits

Yeah, he went way over the top! saying that, i did like the new 'Thriller' design and the J5 Medley suit.

I actually like Zaldy's outfits :mello:

I love many of the classic outfits that Michael wore in his older tours but overall I liked what Zaldy did. He kept true to many of the more iconic outfits (Thriller, Billie Jean), adding subtle improvements that Michael loved (notably the light-up strip that was basically unheard of back then).

Some were changed completely and I think for the better. I love Michael's Black or White outfit for example (hell I want an armband of my own) but it was actually nice to see Michael in something new, fresh and modern that looked wonderful instead of just rehashing costumes from past tours. It was good to see that they were pushing to see what they could do to bring these costumes to the next level instead of just going "Eh, that one from the HIStory tour was good enough." Just about everything for This Is It was pushed to the next level, why not the costumes too?

Looking at photos of the costumes, they're really not that over-the-top. One or two of them were pushing it in a good way but this is Michael Jackson we're talking about. The man who had statues made of himself to promote one album, even his gold full-armour costume for the HIStory tour was surely over the top back then.

They would've looked amazing on Michael. It was also nice to see something new and fresh tbh.

So sad we never got to see just one concert. - The chance to see what outfits MJ would actually wear in concert and how well it would work.

Had he only live one more month... :(

These were great:

Only bad thing is that they planned to continue that stripe to the jacket also If I remember right. It wouldn't have looked good. The idea that the socks, stripe and the glove changes color sounds cool.

^^ i agree, Michael looks great in them! certainly would have worked better in a concert setting. They definitely should have left light's out of the jacket though. I wonder what he was going to wear for 'Dirty Diana' & 'Dangerous'?

For Dangerous he was probably going to wear the same thing he always wears for that song

Do you guys think the blue shirt Michael wore during TWYMMF was for the concerts or was it just something Michael brought with him just to wear during the song?

No, i don;t think any of his stage outfits were ready during these times.

That was probably something he had in his closet. He probably threw it on for TWYMMF just 'cause.

I think it's funny that Michael never rehearsed in sweats/t-shirt. At least not with everyone around.
He always dressed up to an extent or in in jeans.

The loosest I saw him in rehearsal was when he was with Travis Payne alone in that dance studio (from the TII special features).
He's just wearing sweats and a t-shirt.

This. It looked good for Immortal, but those guys were wearing tracksuits. Didn't understand the Line through the jacket. If anything, Zaldy could have just had a single white band on his right arm a la Munich/Seoul '99 and MSG '01.

Michael Bush should have been the main guy for TII. Zaldy looked like he hadn't a clue what he was doing for the most part.

Zaldy's outfits made me appreciate the Dangerous Tour outfit more

After I learned it was a fencing vest, I was OK with it. Because when I was a kid I just thought Michael was bringing the fact he grabbed his crotch more attention by wearing, essentially, a pair of knickers sewn to a top.

Dangerous tour outfit would be sooo much more awesome if he didn't have the leotard on like a superhero.
I HATED that outfit just for that reason. Should have worn pants over crotch part. Would have been more badass.

The silver Bad tour was also a leotard but Maybe Michael just said one day "......lads, do ye know what'd be REALLY cool?........."

And he decided to wear the thong on the outside.... And every one said "Ooooooooooh...... that's cool Michael........ For your world Tour....... In real life......."

I know! Thank the maker he didn't wear the bad tour outfit that way.

I think it's a great design for a dancer because he doesn't have to worry about it always getting untucked. But it just doesn't look good, to me at least.

I'm glad he changed the way he wore the belt during the 1988 leg, at some of the early shows he wore the USA leg pants with the European belt.. too much on the eye? maybe. Back to This Is It, 'Dangerous' is the one jacket that i feel honors his integrity..

Dangerous suit would have been the same I think but with a green shirt. The stage was supposed to have green lights during the song so that is possible. American Bandstand 2002 had red lights and red shirt.

It would have been cool if he wore a different coloured shirt every night

I think that rehearsals were more for the back up dancers, backing singers and instrumenalists. Michael didn't need to rehearse all that much, because it was like riding a bike to him

Zaldy's outfits were utter sh*t, the only one that was remotely cool was the Thriller Jacket, I will say the Black or White jacket, I think is okay.
