Does anyone know if Brett or Maccauley iscalled out by name in the documentary? IF not and they only insinuate than niether of those two could sue..

Dan seems pretty damn sneaky so I would not be suprised if he calculated the way to speak about them without 'speaking about THEM'..

"A very well publicized friend of Michael Jackson.." "A former child actor.."

That type of sh**

They show footage of brett i believe and imply

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

R Kelly, Patriots, Jessie controversy couldnt come at a better time. The bottom line I think is the people who already think MJs guilty will watch and enjoy. The media will make "sensational" headlines for clicks/attention/$. The average joe will most likely not sit through hours of this trash unless they are already convinced/gullible enough. On the flip side, several credible people have and will call out this mockumentary for what it is. Keep spreading the facts and the truth will prevail. We have the facts and evidence. They have neither.

Possibly. Or if they show photos of him without his permisson I guess he could sue for using his image and likeneness without having any rights to do so...in addition to defamation.

I was wondering if the Estate could sue Michael Jacobshagen for fraud and forgery and using MJ's image and signature for profit? Pretty sure MJ's name and the business around his name have been trademarked and the Estate holds the rights for all merchandice. So if the criminal police in Germany has proved that what Jacobshagen had been selling was forged, and the German television has on film where Jacobshagen is claiming that MJ "wrote those in front of me" and there is that Swiss fan Käppeli and that other fan who bought stuff from Jacobshagen as witnesses....it should be a slam dunk case. And if Jacobshagen is now doing the rounds in the media showing Dimond and the Australian press forged letters and a book with a forged writing to make it look like it was Michael's then add a conspiracy charge to that also. Can anyone find out where that footage of Dimond with that book that they showed during the clip in Australian TV, is from? If anyone has the footage please post. Because this is like Dimond and Gutierrez all over again and the Estate should sue Dimond. And since this is her second time around, they can show it's her intention to conspire to do harm. Maybe the first time around she got off the hook by claiming "she didn't know Gutierrez wasn't reliable and didn't have any video"...but this time she should have known better and yet, she still failed to check who she was dealing with. Or worse, if she knew that Jacobshagen is shady and lying then she is doing all of thsi with intention and malice. And what makes it worse for Dimond is that she was around through the whole trial and practically attached to the hip (literally...:kissing::kiss:) with Sneddon, and closely following the trial...she should know about everything that was or was not found and where it was found in MJ's house. So any books she tries to bring out now as some "shocking new evidence"...she should know better. If not defamation...I am sure there are some conspiracy laws or some kind of media laws that can be used to hold her responsible. If not for nothing else then conspiracy to use forged material for financial gain. And since Michael Jackson is trademarked (pretty sure of it), they are using his name for profit illegally by using material that is wrongly being sold as Michael Jackson's. Just an idea. I hope someone with more experience in law can come up with the details? :D

Chances are this is only the beginning for the estate. Would have been amazing if the headlines had been Michael Jackson's estate sues HBO, Diane Dimond and Michael Jacobshagen. But who knows, maybe they keep that for later. Sure hope so because it's goddamn wrong and sick how people can just come out of nowhere and mention MJ to the media with the sole purpose to ruin his legacy and basically lie their ass off. That kind of shit finally has to stop.

Today I did some reading. about Robson, how ridiculous all it was that he's claiming but that Safechuck is a little harder to prove. I wasn't aware that he had been depressed for a long time, used all kinds of medicine etc.

Also about Pellicano and how he's always said MJ wasn't guilty but that he had said he'd done something far worse than molesting young boys. It seems the writer isn't exactly sure either what he meant but it could very well be about how MJ apparently was a magnet. People were drawn to him and wanted to be in his company 24/7. Including Safechuck. But there would come a time that he would distance himself from them, especially after the Chandlers. His group of friends became a select group.

Jimmy has a lot of issues, seems he actually misses MJ and just like Robson has no problems trashing him like this because he's not around us anymore anyway. Whatever the case with Pellicano, that's a real odd way of wording it. Yeah I bet that it would suck to be left out when you believe you had a strong connection with someone, but that is far worse?

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Don't expect anything from the names that appeared in the doc.
I would not be surprised if they change their speeches like Wade.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

An advert for it just played on Channel 4.

Glad to see the Estate suing, not sure what will come of it but at least they're not sitting on their hands.

Barnes is referred to by name. I believe Norma Staikos is, as well. Not sure about Culkin.

Their involvement (or lack thereof) might one of the biggest red flags. Why weren't Barnes or Staikos ever consulted? Robson alleges the former was a victim and the latter was a knowing conspirator, so why weren't they given the opportunity to respond?

We know for a fact Barnes was never spoken to because he would've aired this documentary out on Twitter long before it was officially announced, and Staikos has never (to my knowledge) offered a public statement about anything.

Imagine you're the director of a film accusing one of the most popular recording artists in American history of child abuse, and you become aware of not only a third victim, but of a woman who supposedly facilitated and co-orchestrated his pedophilic urges. Why the hell wouldn't you offer them the opportunity to speak?

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

This is what Dan had to say about interviewing others: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMcte6orvQc

he states that Wade and James are the ones with the compelling story..

PS, I noticed that Dan Reed 5 minute interview where he basically gives a manifesto (my opinion) about how he built the documentary to be compelling, gave tips on how to make the story believable and so on is harder to find on youtube.. It used to be on the front page when you type in anything about the doc.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Yes and no. It could just give the media more chances to link MJ's name with R Kelly.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Michael Jackson will def be headline news no matter what is going on... the original trailer for this stupid Doc has already gotten over a million views.. it's been 3 days!

Feel free to look at any R Kelly videos posted within the last 3 days.. Or Harvey Weinstein.. Or Jussie Smollett! How do they compare?

Yeah it doesn't surprise me at all. MJ easily is the biggest name of them all. This shit is only just beginning and it will get worse. I will remain positive though, post facts whenever needed and wait patiently to see what happens next now that they have sued HBO. Things like that can take a long time though, right?

They're not suing (in the usual sense). They've gone to arbitration (as per the contract terms). I think they are supposed to agree on a judge (arbitrator) in about 30 days.

Its has to do with the fact that the HBO channel has over 1.3 million subscribers. This is a main reson I think.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I hope the Australian TV interviewers ask these various maids and security guards if they ever saw Jacobshagen at Neverland......

Give me a break.

"Oh they say his a musical genious, let him rest in peace"

I HAVE NEVER EVER mentioned Michaels musical talent when discussing sexual abuse allegations. They want to portray that we as fans want Michael to be left alone/rest in peace even though he was an alleged pedo, just because he was genious.

I am sick of that crap, its not true and yet they spin that shit. The whole show is disgusting. Taj should have been on it, not Jermaine.

Part of the neverland 5. Same old story - disgruntled idiots who stole from MJ and got fired. Then sued MJ and lost and lost the counter-suit from MJ and went bancrupt etc.

I wont be shocked if animals from neverland starts showing up on TV-shows saying (or trying to speak) that they the saw the most hideous things, but for some baffling reason could not speak up until now!

King Jordan Radio - Michael Jacobshagen ,MJ's Freind ,Author Will You be my Freind

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/kingjo...hagen-mjs-freind-author-will-you-be-my-freind

As a child Michael Jacobshagen spent time on the move with Michael Jackson. He met Michael Jackson the first time 1995 in Paris, the beginning of a friendship that stretched over years. They visited the famous Circus Krone in Munich, stayed 1998 two weeks in that city, went shopping and spent private time together in hotel suites and elsewhere. When Michael Jackson roamed Europe on his legendary 1997 History Tour, he invited the 13 year old Michael Jacobshagen time and again to various cities his concerts took place in. Now, 16 years later, Michael Jacobshagen lets other fans participate and talks for the first time in detail about his marvelous experiences with Michael Jackson in a profoundly open and personal manner. Among the stories: how they became friends in Munich, played hide and seek, threw water balloons to the fans outside and went on shopping tours.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I saw on the TV this morning a local news station reported about the Estate suing HBO. First time I've seen anything on TV about this. I only glanced at it briefly, but there was a guy on there. I don't know if he represented HBO or was a random talking head or whoever he was, since I only saw briefly, but he said something like "no one was in MJ's bedroom, so they don't know what happened." Just ugh.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Well, no one is disputing that and the estate does no longer wants them to stop it. The damages have already been done. They just be prepared to pay the damages to the estates. That's it. The estate will do their own rebuttal I believe but at this stage they are entitled to huge amounts in damages and they will recover them. HBO has acted with malice co-producing a doc that refused to present anything to do with the other side of the story, omitting the simple fact that they have actually sued the estate and failed in an attempt by HBO to present them as more credible than they actually are and to hide what many in the public would have considered a motive behind their allegations. There is a mountain of evidence HBO has acted with malice. The punitive damages will be insane.

I don't know if anyone here is a member of bluray.com?
There is a thread there for the documentary in the movies section.

I could link it but not sure if that's allowed.
It's actually not too bad but some may wish to add to it.

As another member said on here, not going overboard as an obsessed fan is also my approach to online things about MJ......I find that works much better.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

When you read the lawsuit HBO is so in the wrong. Why are they choosing to die on the hill of Wade Roberson? It is bad now it is bad now it will be worse when it airs. But if the estate gets public arbitration hearing its gonna get out. These same characters will be on the stand. And HBO is gonna be paying 100 of millions of dollars.
