Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

Interesting slip from Reed in the Sun article : “I was talking to Wade and he said, ‘You know what, I was abused as a child by men and I haven’t become a predatory paedophile.’”

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Seeing Tom Mesereau in the interview, convicted me that The Estate lawyers must be in interviews instead of the Jackson family.

Agree. PLEASE ESTATE. Hire someone official on this to handle interviews

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

He was not abused by anyone. He is not showing any signs of abuse. He has been immersing himself in anything related to child abuse to learn how to act and behave like a victim and he is still not able to come across as believable.

i just cant stomach this will this ever end?

This says a lot of Wades mentality. The fact he is so obsessed with paedophiles and child sex abuse. The guy has a very twisted mind.
Also I was reading Twitter earlier and Charles Thompson was talking about David Bowie and how he allegedly had relationships with very young girls and it's all been swept under the rug. I found a Guardian article about groupies and this lady who has written books about her experiences . It seems very exploitative like Elvis and Priscilla . Yet this gets no attention at all. It seems that if you are white and upper class and write for newspapers then you give a free pass to these people but are quite happy to bash MJ with zero evidence.:banghead::banghead:

It's like an epidemic running through the press. The UK press (and media in general) are showing that they have very little 'independence of thought'. There have been adverse articles in main UK non-tabloid newspapers this weekend - The Times and The Telegraph.
Reed has apparently been interviewed by the BBC about 'the cult of celebrity'.

Very few are reporting on the legal case or mentioning much detail from the Estate communications. It feels like the press have entirely 'lost their minds'.

They are out-of-touch with many of the ordinary public though.

BBC needs to report based on Ofcom rules and their articles are violating that rule by not reporting fairly and with facts. Also, I was wondering....can fans sue collectively for defamation? If the Estate can't... can we? They would need to prove what they say is true in court and all of their lies would come out then. Reed has been slandering fans at every chance he gets, can we sue him?

Someone on twitter has just made a very good point.

Many articles are posted on twitter (eg the timeout one today). Lots of fans comment below the twitter link but it would be best if us fans copied and pasted our comment and also put it below the text of the article itself (as in, not within twitter, but below the article). Many people look at the comments below the article itself and many people are not on twitter.

Eg the timeout article on twitter is flooded with positive Mj posts but if you click the article itself there isn’t any comments. Many older people are not on twitter and won’t see any of our hard work.

Let’s do this.

This. And also, more important. Go into facebook and find the article there. When the LN trailer came out I went in on HBO and Channel 4s facebook and spent 12 hours straight defending MJ. I replied to every single negative message. I made like 300 posts or so in that - just shut them up. I think thats more important than to be on twitter. Also people are more civil on facebook because they are using their real name and profile etc. And you can discuss at length because there is no character limit. I found it much easier to convince people on facebook than on twitter. On twitter people can see the history of your tweets and think all MJ fans are a sect etc.

The key is to be there EARLY. When the articles are newly posted. When Adrian the maid came out here in sweden, I went in 5 hours after a swedish paper had posted and it was like 85 hating messages posted, so I had to work very hard to present the background on Adrian to turn it around.

If I had been on their first to post the truth, it would never have gotten so out hand! But of course this all time consuming.

And now SkyNews is sharing stories from the Australian show.
Hello the Estate !
Hello official Facebook page !

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Headline in today's Mirror saying MJ is a perv like Saville.

Boils my blood crap like that.Theres no way they should be allowed to print such lies.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I've said it before but there's a place for these two insufferable people, they will get theirs. The shitstorm they've caused is just so ****ed up. Ten years since he left us and it's starting all over again. Press acting dumb while they damn well know how these guys barely are credible, they know damn well about the FBI investigation and how nothing turned up.

I don't know who or what this Timeout is but canceling MJ music is just taking things waaaaaay too far. All based on LN? Give me a goddamn break. Hopefully this all ends eventually with the estate slaughtering them. Good lord, I wish so many bad things on people like W&S.

The mirror is just as bad as Sun and Radar Online, they can go **** themselves.

Don't forget YouTube cause I think this is the Network who has the most users.
Many people don't have facebook twitter or instrgram cause they don't trust those companys anymoe like me. But many people can't resist to have an YouTube account to subscribe to their favorite channels seeing their new videos and comment under them.
Maaaany people have a google account because they own an apperatus with Android and then it is not so far away to develop the google account with an youtube account.
So I think youtube who you don't have a word limmit is also a very good place to comment for MJs defense and spred informations.

The way I see it, Twitter is already covered now. Any negative Mj comment that gets posted on twitter, I’m always very proud to see a flurry of MJ supporters sensible and rational comments (or even just comments from vaguely informed people).

I’m now focusing my energies on YouTube, facebook and on the webpages of the articles themselves. Post in the comment of the article itself. That is likely to get far more views than the twitter comment (where your comment will probably be drowned out anyway). Many/most people over 35 are not on twitter

I personally think it’s best to keep comments short and concise. I’ve seen some fans solely posting endless links (with no blurb) to large FBI documents, and not even I can be bothered to click on the links and I’ve been a fan 25 years. Remember people are busy, have short attention spans and most are not as invested in this as us.

Belgian tv news today informed it's viewers about Adrians's twisted, vile comments without any defense. Not even "alleged" was used as a word. It's all done folks
At least in Australia the defense party also got to have a word.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Just makes me so sad/angry at the same time. Angry because of what all of these parasites are doing to Michael's legacy, sad because everyday it gets harder and harder to take in. When this mockumentary airs, i'm going to be frightened to read online. The storm it could cause is unthinkable.
I'm hopeful that the general public will see sense and know that MJ was accused of all this rubbish his whole adult life, and just forget about it.

Before all this started I was hoping we'd get a new release this year seeing as it's 10 years. I never expected things to be like this.

Please Estate, if you read these forums... we need you more than ever. MJ needs you. I hope they have plans...

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

It's only going to get worse when it airs too.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

It is also the year of the 50th birthday of "I want you back" and the J5/the Jacksons.
LN will infact this celbration too or maybe prevent the possibility to celebrate this with public events.
Like for example radio specials with their music.
When LN would not happened it whould be a great and unique possibility to bring this beautiful and mostly forgotten music back or new in peoples mind.
But when the moment passes by there will not be a really good chances for it in the future.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I was watching a documentary on Netflix with my brother this morning. It was called Abducted in plain sight I believe. This was about a man that was a actual pedophile and several things during this documentary gave good signs/examples/proof of that. Two things I want to mention are how he admitted himself when he spoke to a certain young girl that he was basically pretty much in love with that he'd be in orbit when he heard her voice, he'd have all kinds of feelings.

Secondly, authorities had found something like a mausoleum in his motorhome of pictures of this girl when she all kinds of ages.

Maybe people (that believe LN) and just the media should take a good look at that and then see if police ever found audio recordings where MJ was heard or admitted to feeling a type of way when talking to Gavin, Jordan, Wade, Safechuck, Jacobshagen (lol).

Or maybe they should look it up if ever a similar kind of mausoleum was found of pictures of these then still children......

This documentary will be the end of the love affair with Michael for many people sadly.

The majority of viewers will be casual fans or not fans at all and will instantly declare him as a peadophile after watching.

His legacy will take a massive hit. I just hope that in time it can somehow be amended. I’m scared at the prospect of the cirque shows being pulled and his music no longer being played on radio or music video stations.

Everyone will be talking about how much of a peadophile he is and those who dismiss these lies will be in the minority. It’s not fair on a man who gave so much joy to millions around the world for 40 years.

If there are people that are so easy to just jump to conclusions like that without ANY actual evidence of wrongdoing by Michael, but PLENTY of evidence of W&S being full of lies, twisted stories, fantasies based on a pathetic book by an even more pathetic dude etc... then Jesus, I am glad as hell that these simple-minded folks were NOT part of the jury in 2005.

Because the jury got to hear tons of horrible and disgusting little details, all fabricated too. I'm not gonna jump to conclusions anymore because so far it has only been people with a agenda that praises this sick mockumentary. We'll see what general public thinks.

I cannot believe what I’m reading right now. Sounds like you guys are giving up. If you really feel that way, then what the hell were you doing here in the first place. Someone to take pity on you?

I’m upset about this just as much as you, but it doesn’t mean I’m throwing in the towel. No way in hell that’s happening! You should know by now how the media is, I have since the late 90s. We got the truth on our side now, and we’re gonna keep pushing and pushing no matter how long it takes. This will not the end of Michael’s legacy, not by a long shot. Stop giving those articles any attention because that’s all they want: attention! The general public is not as stupid as you may think. Most of the time is like “Who cares!” I don’t give a damn about what the haters are saying, let them do it all they want. Only God got the final say!

Remember, Michael Jackson didn’t die for nothing. He may have a very complicated life, of course, but name one person who hasn’t had a complicated life? We got Michael’s music to fight with!

So, stop dwelling on the negative, stay focus on the positive. DO NOT BOW DOWN FOR ANYBODY!!!

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I'm more determined than ever, when I became a fan in 2003 I signed up to defend this man for the rest of my life even though I shouldn't need to. Bring it on! With social media we can be heard more than ever before! In the 90's and 2000's you would see a news article and there was no platform to have your own say against it, now there is. Unfortunately it also gives more of a voice than the other side as well, but they always had a platform....we haven't always had that.
