Thriller 40th Anniversary

they better release a radio friendly banger with a video.

my wish: Chicago 1945 and a music video with studio footage from that session.
That's not your wish mate, that's a collective wish of everyone on the forum 😅
I'd be just happy with a couple of unleaked songs being on Disc 2.

If we were lucky enough to get a miracle of getting Chicago 1945 on Thriller 40, I hope they make a deal out of it, a single and video all that good stuff

Can we stop hoping they will include post Thriller songs just so we won’t get disappointed again?
It’s like you’d say We Are Here To Change The World or Al Capone are Thriller tracks. From the perspective of time it doesn’t make any sense.

Who announces anything on a Friday? It's the day news go to die. You announce something on a Friday when you don't want people to know about it.
Songs and albums are almost always released on Fridays.

too many new songs man, the estate cant hire another impersonator just yet
Even though these songs arent MJ they are amazing songs i dont care what anyone says especially Hydraulix and Let Me Let Go

So are Faith, Monkey, Father Figure by George Michael, Sign Your Name by Terence Trent D'arby, Sussudio by Phil Collins and so many more. I don't understand your point. Let's just not label them as MJ's songs.

And when did I label them as mj songs?

Not you, but the Estate labeled JM as MJ. The thing is you were saying you didn't care what anyone was saying about those songs. TBF nobody had been really debating about how good or bad JM's songs were, but about the Estate's mistake of labeling JM as MJ. Hence my remark not to label JM's songs as MJ's.

everyone has known those were JM songs for a decade and the estate is no longer calling them mj songs? Pointless comment to make.

Estate still officially consider them as MJ tracks, the reason they gave for the removal was that talking about them was distracting fans from all the other awesome stuff they are doing.

I don't buy that at all, otherwise they would have removed them as Xscape discussion was ramping up prior to release.

It's the Estate's official stance though.
It might be their 'official stance' but it is clearly out of embarrassment and not wanting to own up to fake songs? If the estate have the removed Cascio tracks which is likely to be now permanent and are not actively parading around calling Cascio tracks MJ songs I don't see the problem.

Acknowledging the tracks as fake would thus open them up to legal repercussions. I understand they deserve it, but from a business standpoint, they will never publicly call the Cascio tracks frauds.

Anyway, back on topic.
