We knew CGOOTR was coming sooner or later, there's a lot of unheard demos with no lyrics but they won't put those out, but yet they put this one on the album and it doesn't even have lyrics, just repeat can't get outta the rain over and over for four minutes. It fits really good when combined with you can't win but not as a stand alone track but oh well we can always skip it if we choose to or not add it on our playlist:confused:

iirc Hot Street & Nightline (and TLIML) were never demoed at Hayvenhurst. Q has total control over them.

“Sunset Driver” is from the Thriller sessions.

“What a Lovely Way to Go” was written during the Off the Wall sessions, but was allegedly reconsidered for Thriller. Same thing happened with “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’.”

Crazy that people can’t be happy lmfao. Just waiting on kreen to come in now.
 
Sad. I can't deny, even though I tried to prepare myself for this, I am disappointed about this song. Not a Thriller song IMO. Not a good song either.

I really just hope they at least give us something great for the last week. - Hopefully a song we have never heard before.

Still I got Starlight, The Toy, Behind the Mask demo and the all new Lovely Way. So all in all I can not be disappointed about this.

I will no doubt enjoy this release very much. - And if rumours are true about the 5 4K videos then this will be a great release.

Ironically I wish I could "get outta the game", of track a week reveals. It's pointless when the songs aren't unreleased or even from the Thriller sessions
 
Can anyone make a mock up and see if either the songs Rolling The Dice, Chicago 1945 and Don't Matter To Me can fit in the remaining space lol
 
Do we know if MJ recorded vocals for the verses? Or if verses was even written? - to DMTM I mean.

Technically, it is. Quincy said in a 1982 interview that it was recorded specifically to be a B-side. The original song is from 1977, but the “remake” was done during the Thriller sessions.

I hate being so particular, because I don’t want this on there. But here we are.

Not too happy by CGOTR. Average track that shouldn’t even belong here anyways. Let’s hope the last track is an unheard one or hot Street.

Diesen Song hätte man sich sparen können, die ganze Show mit 1 Song pro Woche, ich begnüge mich mit einem Balken an Songs, freue mich riesig endlich Lovely Way to go, The Toy und Behind the Mask Original zu hören, aber das war es auch schon die aufregung der rest kennen wir ja alle die großen dinge drumherum hätten sie uns wirklich sparen können und uns gleich die komplette songliste gegeben die vielen überraschungen gibt es auf cd 2 am ende nicht

I agree with both of you and think both perspectives are complementary.

While it is not our fault that they screw up, they'll always put half-arsed projects out and later complain it didn't sell enough just to blame it on us. It's a loophole created by them to justify their nonsense business model.
Their main source of income over the past few years is streaming services. If we want to force them to put any real effort on a project, we have to hit them where it hurts: everyone stop streaming MJ and cut their income. However, is it ever gonna happen? I don't think so.
