Thriller 40th Anniversary

Now see that is scary, it seems if we didn't have it in our personal collection - we are a bit jacked, cos we wont get find the original so easy out online again (...)

That is true for anything that you don't own a readable physical copy for (by physical, I mean, it may be well-preserved files on hard drives). The Internet is ever-changing and no one is liable for preserving anything that some other people consider some kind of immutable legacy.

I think since the estate guys are old men they thought anime characters are very cool and popular so they asked the fiverr guy to include some cool anime people :D

I'm getting afraid seeing all the positive comments under the video... :O
That is what is worrying with this ...

You are ALL going to kill me for bringing this up - Is the one with the shaved eyebrow supposed to be . ...

Any idea if the bar code at 0:10 (bottom right) has any significance?
Tried to scan it, no success.

Because the examining 30% are supposedly non existent
Unless they say they've been lost or destroyed, 90% of the time when they say they're "non-existent," they either mean "not transferred to digital" or "not in the hands of illegal collectors."

The bar code still appears further in the video. I think bar codes can only contain number, not letters (not sure).

Quick question as I'm just barely able to join the fun and dig into the various versions of T40 available today........I heard about the Atmos mixes on Apple which doesn't help me much since I don't really use Apple stuff/iTunes, but I do use Amazon Music Unlimited and read about 360 mixes being on there. This is likely gonna be a stupid question with an obvious answer, but are those 360 mixes different from the normal T40 tracks that are available to listen to? I've searched pretty thoroughly on there and I see no mention of 360 anything.....?

See, this would be a cool Easter egg. You scan it and get taken to some sort of secret video.

But that’s too much for them.

Well, I took a local screenshot, put it in Photoshop, removed color, improved constrat, reduced width by 50%, and my code bar app scanned:
8425402282540

If I look for in Brave Browser search bar, I find stuff about Apple TV Siri remote (2n generation) (no idea but I guess it's old.
But Brave Browser isn't necessarily a standard too so I tried in Google.
It is the bar code for a teeth whitening kit: https://www.perfumesclub.co.uk/en/oh!-white/whitening-light-kit-set/p_882540/

(But maybe it has nothing to do with a bar code.)

8425402282540 (...)

I realised that the barcode that is scanned does not match the actual lines on the image. Contrast problems. So I tweaked them a bit more in Photoshop and this time I got 282119282540.
Which is the FedEx number of a package that was delivered on 2021-08-10 to someone name JJoey in Encino, California...

Pure randomness... The barcode displayed on my phone still doesn't match that on the screen... :)

I need to find a barcode editor or something like this...

Definitely agreed regarding the lyric video! They should've at least made it Michael-related. Even just a silhouette, or the toe stand, a fedora, a simple moonwalk animation, some iconography? Or a creative use of concert footage. But there's nothing. It looks like synthwave, wasn't that popular during yesteryear? Teens on TikTok certainly aren't going to care, neither will the old guard. I haven't even actually seen it, but the screenshots make me not want to watch.

Also, lol... The Chris Brown thing is all kinds of ironic. He himself is, at least according to my own personal standards, much more problematic than MJ ever was. Yet Michael Jackson is the problem here?? I'd have respected him sticking to his guns if he hadn't been Chris Brown. (I'm admittedly biased since I used to be a big fan of him as a teen, like as hardcore as I am about MJ right now, but... well, broken pedestals, in short.) The hypocricy is astounding and makes me very angry.

I think it's just a bunch of random stuff

I've heard Billie Jean in Tidals 360 Audio today, I hate the song Billie Jean.
I have never heard Billie Jean in this way ever, and I'd never want to hear it in any other way.

Only this estate can avoid including any MJ imagery in an MJ lyric video and think anime characters are the more logical choice.

I do respect that Branca is taking a firm stance on this and openly defending his artist, but not entirely sure how throwing direct insults at one of biggest entertainment companies on the planet is beneficial in the long term lol.

"Maybe Disney should stick to cartoons, perhaps they don't belong in the music business" - John Branca

Yeah, doesn't seem like the best idea in the grand scheme of things does it. Also don't feel like he needed to big up Chris so hard, lol.
