Nah, if Frenzy was making the docu, he'd talk about MJ having anorexia, how the album departed from Black Music because white money is more valuable than black people's money or whatever, and that he created Billie Jean in 1972 and left it off the Forever, Michael album. Or something
 
I don’t understand the technical aspects, but this is the best quality I’ve seen. the songs are removed unfortunately..

I hope the "final cut" of the doc has Billie Jean in HD. Lounis said BJ victory tour is mixed with HD/SD footage so I hope that is also updated.

Edit: For AI upscaling to work you need a good uncompressed source. Also, trying to stretch 480 LQ visions rip to 4k wont look any good lol. Highest I would even test is 1080 imo.
 
Starting to doubt we're getting Billie Jean in HD. Won't surprise me if they try to act like remastering one video is a big deal for the 50th anniversary.

this is my attempt, i believe upscaling is good for one thing and that is to make 480p a BETTER 480p, or 720 a BETTER 720p.

i used noise reduction and colour correction and thats it, i didnt use anything else as it gets messy.

Hey, if they can't find the original film reels, they can't do anything.

They admitted it with the Wembley show, and I remember people being mad about it. But, like it happens.

It's sad that way too much classic media is lost like a pair of house keys or a cell phone.

I get that, but in wembley's situation they didn't even mention any lost film until last year after we provided them the research on it. We were annoyed that we got a garbage quality VHS release in 2012 when we knew better sources existed. The excuse back then was "audio isn't usable for other shows" or "we were lucky to even find the wembley VHS"...The wembley audio we got wasn't even in their archives. Luckily some of the people involved in the multitrack recording had it. So I think the same goes for any other currently "lost" MJ media. The estate just needs to actually put the time & money into locating as much as possible. You would think Thriller, Beat it, and Billlie Jean masters would be in the same place.

They definitely consider anything they don't have right in front of them as "lost" and don't bother looking.

Should've figured there was more context to that.

I don't personally believe the footage is lost in this case at least, and if they don't admit it, we have no reason to. But I am saying it can happen. In Doctor Who fandom, there are many lost episodes from the 60s that they have to expect fans and broadcasters to fill the gaps in. In some cases it may be the same. I'd just hope they've used all this time to collect as much lost media as they can.

Both BAD25 and Motown to your town docs were released on Blu-Ray and also on Apple TV. So I hope they follow that strategy.

Oh god yes really need a physical release,i hope it wont be just a bloody down load/streaming thing , didn't think of that.
 
Not sure about other releases (I have a 24-bit FLAC one), but has anyone noticed Billie Jean crossfades in to Human Nature prematurely? Almost sounds like it was "remastered" from a vinyl rip that had crossfades...

its from the entire file which isnt out yet, yes. i doubt i will share anymore as talking to some people it seems this might get me into some legal trouble if i post the stories of him discussing the situation of Xscape and such. i might post more but i really love Steve and i dont think posting full stories is something he would want, let alone a small snippet.

it will all get out eventually i believe, but just not through me.

(edit) i genuinely dont mean for this to be teasing btw, its just there is some stuff in it that might get ME into bother, and i do not want that responsibility LMFAO
