The Brad Sunberg Seminar Leak/Theft of 2023

Assholes like this are what gives the fan community a bad wrap. Michael when he was alive hated it when people stole his music and leaked it online (Xscape and Hold My Hand), and here we are in 2023 and people still going against his wishes, just to be selfish and try to make a quick buck.

Hope this jabroni gets arrested and sued into oblivion.

The Estate can suck and stealing a man's laptop can both be bad, okay.

Maybe his wish was for everyone to leave him alone and just appreciate him. But certainly to pay his childrens bills. They've maneuvered past the whole Michael crap, people are still angry about it.

I guess it is the estates fault.

We can't really say if Michael would be proud or ashamed. Most of the time we just project our own values on this man.
Agree, though I can say (for Michael and for many others) with certainty that Michael won't be proud of a "fan" stealing his friend's personal property for his unreleased / unfinished music. These are the kind of leaches who hurt him all his life, anything for Money!

No idea about MJ, and I'm really just mentioning this out of any context, but I remember at least 2 (or 3) singers literally saying about their albums that those who don't have money, they should just steal it (I think all those were French).

Though, that was was back in the days when stealing happened in stores where the records were commercially "already sold" ... I think one who said that then complained a lot about "MP3 piracy".

People defending Brad, so crazy. I thought this community was cool.
You all are fine with the guy charging money for what you say Michael would not want to be shared, even for free.
Your double standards are horrible.
This is not official album music, this is not something Michael's kids would profit from, this is not even something the lousy Estate takes in their pockets.
It's just an exploit tour of a washed up audio engineer and poor fans who are starving for anything new from MJ. Michael was all about giving and sharing. I would LOVE to hear his opinion on Brad making money from this.

could anyone download the gdrive link? its 60gb big and blocked by google to download?!?

Ok, Brad selling the handwritten lyrics to Leave Me Alone on eBay for over $250,000... A little harder to defend.

There is nothing wrong with Brad selling parts of his memorabilia collection for money. How much many warehouses full of rare collectables did MJ have. If I worked with MJ and had some thing I was willing to part with for money I would do exactly the same thing. Hope Brad gets his stuff back soon

So as most of you know, Brad Sunberg's laptop was stolen during a seminar in Brussel, other people have more details, but as of now, any song could leak sadly, This is so infuriating to me and all of you probably, I won't stop you from listening to the leaks (theres only 1 as of now I believe), but unless if you wanna wait for an official release of them, go ahead and wait many many years, just a sad situation for Brad, he deserved none of this and shouldn't have to go through this
Chicago 1945 Studio Version got leaked, am I right?

Look, Brad is in possession of all this stuff, he has the right to do what he wants with it since michael isn't here to say what he should do with it. He's obviously done this out of love considering how he reacts to the material he presents even to this day, and he loves meeting the fans around the world. I think everyone should get off his back when it comes to that, as yes, while he is making money off of Michael's name, he's at least doing it in the most tasteful way possible, showing the songs and videos in it's rawest forms.

Wow, all this happened because the estate lacks when it comes to unreleased music. Fans are hungry for michaels unreleased gems. Chicago 1945 is AMAZING. What an audio bliss.
Okay, I know this is going to come off as more bootlicking on my part, but this is absurd. “Maybe if the estate released more music, a fan wouldn’t feel the need to steal” is one of the worst angles anyone has ever made on this topic.

turns out they are attempting to use deep recovery tools to try and see if brad had those songs on the SSD or drive at some point. there is a small chance more could be uncovered, but i feel it would be very unlikely.

He doesn't make much profit from these, the money he gets from doing these events is usually spent on booking the studio, catering, and travel costs for the most part, he's doing this out of love for Michael and the fans. Of course, he can't just simply leak these all, but he tries to provide a unique experience to those diehard fans who really want to see more from their favorite artist.

In regards to him selling off memorabilia, I don't think there's anything wrong with that, as it isn't copyrighted material, and for almost every artist people sell autographs and these sorts of things, so if Michael jotted down some words on a paper and Brad sold that, I don't think it remotely falls under the category of "exploiting Michael".

Not to mention compensation for the time he spends in preparing material for the seminar. Even though ticket costs are high, I doubt the seminars are making him rich. So the 'he is exploiting MJ' argument does not fly.

The main benefit of these seminars for Brad is, he as well as members of his family are traveling around the world for free.

After sleeping on it, and reading some replies here, I suppose I don't see eBay as the most ridiculous option. I still would rather see memorabilia like that in a museum though. Not like anybody else of MJs memoribilia is in a safe place though...

How do you know the auction ended over $250K, I can only see the starting bid of $27,500?
I don't know anything about this. This was my immediate reaction.

WTF !

Did Brad stole them by jumping from the window !!

This is called " Normalizing" with thief
This has nothing to do with the bloody thief, why don't you figure out what we're actually talking about before you butt in.

the seminars are NOT his primary source of income. he sells audio set ups and speakers and such, and has done for quite some time. he's just scraping by with in the studio with mj to break even, in respect of mj. now, does this mean that he is using mj's name for advertisement of his business and to make connections? thats debatable, but i doubt it.

Call it human psychology. I didn’t state that I approve what the guy did.
