I've thought 1977 from the first listen.I have a theory that What A Lovely Way To Go is from the pre Destiny era
Listening to Mike's vocals and some of the beatboxing percussion (very similar to Blues Away from 1976) it strikes me as a late 70's production. Also if you listen to it, it sounds like something Gamble and Huff were producing for The Jacksons around that time, with the "group shouting" and some of the back ups in general. Maybe Mike was trying to emulate that?
Please don't start thanking people for posting 6 second snippets lmaoYes it is real you can thanks Adez for that
I mean, at least someone posted it instead of saying "If I share they won't give me more." (Sound familiar ?)Please don't start thanking people for posting 6 second snippets lmao
Well there's "You Are My Life" and "Gone Too Soon" as well..What A Lovely Way To Go, Who Do You Know are both the most boring songs I’ve ever heard of MJ…

Dont forget ChangesWhat A Lovely Way To Go, Who Do You Know are both the most boring songs I’ve ever heard of MJ…
Having heard only seven seconds of "Changes", I can say I prefer it over "Lovely Way".Dont forget Changes
Pretty unfair to judge a 7-minute song out of a 6 seconds snippet tbh.Dont forget Changes
It is literally the song to play whenever someone dies. Like what are we even talking about.Perhaps "Gone Too Soon" was more a case of intention, rather than quality. Not a bad track, but the context with Ryan White adds much of the weight to it, imo.
You had us in the first half, not gonna lie. What A Lovely Way To Go, Who Do You Know are both the most boring songs I’ve ever heard of MJ…
Once more: the reason is Quincy. Him and the Estate haven't been in good terms for a long while.(what about Hot Street or Nite Line?)
Yeah, just look at how fans’ opinions on GYWOOM evolved. It went from “this song is garbage; leave it in the vault” with the leaked snippets to “OMG BANGER” when the whole thing leaked yesterday. This should be a valuable lesson for fans to not judge entire songs based on tiny snippets.Pretty unfair to judge a 7-minute song out of a 6 seconds snippet tbh.
But who CARES ABOUF THAT BECAUSE THIS ONE IS GARBAGEYeah, just look at how fans’ opinions on GYWOOM evolved. Somebody literally said it sounded like MJs voice cracked on the song. They were downright smearing the song..it's actually hilarious.Yeah, just look at how fans’ opinions on GYWOOM evolved. I mean you ask for demos ig lolLovely Way is such a horrible song. it's like the worst together with Can't Get Outta The Rain.
that estate knows how to disappoint with anniversary releases (what about Hot Street or Nite Line?)
Yeah but we only want incredible demos that rival Billie Jean, not actually outtakes that obviously weren't meant for listening. Y'know, like the estate said.I mean you ask for demos ig lol
People feel like shitting on GYWOOM because it’s his most popular unreleased song lol.Somebody literally said it sounded like MJs voice cracked on the song. They were downright smearing the song..it's actually hilarious.
Billie Jean is overrated imo lol, in a broader view if that makes senseYeah but we only want incredible demos that rival Billie Jean, not actually outtakes that obviously weren't meant for listening. Y'know, like the estate said.
Not a terrible track, but not the strongest, either. Miles better than the likes of "The Lost Children" and a few others. I think the Michael album would've made a good home for it, considering what we ultimately got out of that.People feel like shitting on GYWOOM because it’s his most popular unreleased song lol.

I agree but that's not what we listen to outtakes for.it's a cool song to listen to but it doesn't bring anything to Invincible that isn't already there.
