Maybe Bad Era will have the best outtakes when this is all said and done but, I will genuinely say it's the case that Invincible, has the best vocals of all the outtakes. It's actually pretty incredible. We've Had Enough, Beautiful Girl, Blue Gangsta, a Place With No Name, Xscape, and even CGYWOOM. And Fall Again and TWYLM. And that's not even all of them.

Dangerous is kinda balanced where, every subpar demo has great vocals, and every great demo has good but not incredible singing.

Thriller just runs the gamut of basic 90% average stuff all sung well. With 10% unheard of gems.

To me the worst era of outtakes would probably be Thriller, most of the songs are mediocre at best and you can tell right away why they were cut from the album. There are very few songs that stand out.

Yeah, the Thriller outtakes are very stale. They’re mostly very safe and middle-of-the-road synth-pop that anybody could’ve pulled off.

Yeah, the best stuff was almost always chosen for MJ's albums but Thriller is probably the most obvious example to point to in that regard. Most of them you can instantly see why they didn't make it lol.
