The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Gotta say, in my opinion, people really overhyped “Monster.” I absolutely love it, but all that talk of it being MJ’s Sgt. Pepper song and being super artsy… The snippet doesn’t give that impression. Maybe the full thing, if we ever hear it.
I personally think it could be amazing instrumentally if we get the full track. Buxer and MJ really didn’t make a lot of up tempo dance songs using buxers signature percussion sounds, but this has those and beatboxing. I quite liked the instrumental, it reminds me of ghosts with boxers touches on it. Hopefully it leaks.

Bill Bottrell:

I've never heard the that [Michael] album. I've heard plenty of talk about the Cascio debacle.
I've seen the criticism of the estate but never heard their answers to that criticism.

Was this after Xscape? Because that was the last I met with the record co. (no estate) who were looking for tracks. I did a final mix on "If You Don't Love Me" for Xscape but never heard back.
It's a mix that maintains everything about the rough one.

I think the MJ community could figure the timeline of unreleased gems, mine or others', and know what was neglected at the time of the Cascio thing.

If if you dont love me was considered for xscape it tells you straight away that there arent many good finished completed tracks the estate has that hasnt leaked

Slightly off topic, but I find it absolutely hilarious that Korgnex genuinely believes that the Cascio tracks are legitimate MJ songs.
Possibly he owns all the Cascio songs and didn't want these to be worth nothing.

I remember getting frustrated with a user called Ivy many years ago who thought exactly the same. She was adamant that it was MJ and our hearing was shot.
I first heard the album in 2011, i could tell they were fake back then.

I assume Bottrell's contribution didn't fit LA Reid's criteria of completely reimagining MJ songs.
I would love to hear the differences between the remixes Bill made for Michael and Xscape, can't imagine they sound so different if they follow the same idea of polishing up existing mixes instead of remixing the song entirely.

When I heard the song for the first time, it made me feel so happy. But of course you would have to shorten it to 3 minutes.
This sums up If You Don't Love Me perfectly, it makes you feel happy as the listener. It's not deep or a heavy subject, it's just a fun pop song.
It feels very Motown

Korgnex’s case is even funnier though because he at one point bragged about his supposedly more experienced ears and how no MJ impersonator could ever fool him to fans back when Michael was released.

Do you remember how it was known how the estate was employing shills to say the Cascio tracks were real? Im pretty sure Ivy was one of those stooges

MJSTAR definitely were. They were deleting articles and I'm sure a few of them got given preview tickets to see The Immortal show before opening night.

I really don't like it, Adore You, Monster and that little edited snippet from Rocker impressed me the most.

Still, it's amazing that we've heard four of the tracks that were part of the holy grail

They're not bad. But I still consider the holy grail to be Buffalo Bill, Tomboy, and Make or Break. BAD era outtakes.
