New All-Star Tribute album?

One thing I noticed going back to the article from February
"It wasn’t revealed who the K-pop artists will be on the album but it seems it will focus on songs that brought awareness of racial equality, environmental issues and awareness on prejudice and injustice.."
Maybe "Silent Spring" will be one of the songs they'll be releasing? It's a song produced by Neff-U (a song that Michael never recorded) which shares the same title as a book that talks about environmental harm caused by pesticides in World War 2, so it may have been intended to be one of those "environmental" type of songs.

“There are about ten more tracks, written especially for Michael by his collaborators here in Ireland, including producer Rodney Jerkins and rapper Nephew, who are fully on board with the project.”
So Rodney wrote a track for MJ in Ireland? I remember they met I think but I didn't know he wrote or submitted anything at the time.

And when they say "Nephew" I guess they talking about are Neff-U?!

Yeah as far as I know they did no work together in Ireland, just met and talked about it.

I'm surprised that there's no mention of will.i.am. He doesn't seem to be or want to be a part of it.

Michael worked and met up with Will I am , Redone , lots of producers in Ireland not just met up.
I mean, all discussion I've seen around this is that apart from Will I am not much at all was done in Ireland, I recall it being specifically mentioned that nothing was done with Rodney.

First it was called "From Heaven" then "Timeless Melodies" and now "Eternal Moon". Sometimes they say that MJ worked on the songs and other times that they were written for him. The release date has been moved frequently. They announced a bunch of major artists who will be featured but there hasn't been any official confirmation. . .

It just seems like they have no plan what they are doing. And this WEB 3.0, NFT crypto shit doesn't help either..

Why can't they just say what the actual product will be?

Presumably because they can't get in the way of the Estate. Therefore, the name Michael Jackson and the names of the demos must be avoided, while still making it clear what the album is about. It's a balancing act. But there's no other way with the Estate, which opposes any release.

Rodney and his team wrote plenty of songs for Invincible (Rampage, You Don't Love Me, all the snippets he played in a livestream from 2020), if there isn't anything from the final years he could use one of those songs I guess.
I'd honestly rather he uses those than write a new song way after Michael's death and say that Michael was working on it before he passed, that's some Cascio track shit otherwise lol. At least those rejected demos met Michael's ears at one point.

What do you guys think… is there any chance that those songs contain at least some MJ vocals (like on the chorus maybe)?
A tracklist would be super cool!

Interesting, but wouldn’t expect much of MJ vocals being present on these tracks. He didn’t record much vocally in Ireland but let’s see.

most likely zero vocals of MJ, because the estate would block this release instantly.

also this tribute album was delayed, because BTS couldn't record music lately (guys were in mandatory military service) .

Better a tribute album than no release at all.
There will probably be AI versions of the songs and you will get an impression of Michael's versions.

Not really a trusted source, but the sun reports that at least some of the songs are written by MJ.

None of these Neff-U songs were recorded in 2006:

We dont know that for sure, right?
Maybe they started in Ireland and then continued their work in the US?!

Hmm but it also could be that the work they did in Ireland is not registered yet, right?

if neff-u and rodney are 100% working on the album, maybe it could be not because they specifically worked on these sessions, but because they were still some of the last producers mj worked with and this would be a tribute in itself sort of? idk if anything im saying makes sense lol

I don't think they'll be songs that were made during the Ireland sessions literally, since Rodney Jerkins didn't work on any music back then I'm almost sure they'll let out some white lies and include songs from other sessions—perhaps going as far back as the Invincible sessions—and say they were made during that time.

I'll honestly accept whatever over the slight chance that they'll include "Dark Lady", that song is my holy grail. I'd rather have MJ's version as is and not have anyone else singing it, but if the alternative is never hear it at all, then...

I suspect that Rodney and Neff-U are re-recording the demos that will.i.am produced with Michael in 2006. This would also make sense because the Estate and will.i.am have gone their separate ways since he wanted to release a song with Michael on his own album.
It could also be that I'm just dreaming, I'm dreaming

I don't think the project will contain any vocals by Michael. Although an A.I. transformation by the fans will be very interesting. If there was a chance for Fields of Athenry to appear in a project, this will be it. But I highly doubt that.

Why would his son be there if they won't have any vocals on the album?
