The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Is there a possibility that Luciano Pavarotti and MJ made a song together, the concert with friends didn't happend at the time due to Prince beign sick, but I wonder how about the possible collaboration...

I keep forgetting they actually went ahead and used it for the vinyl release.

Jesus tonight....

🤢🤮

Was scrolling through Bill's old posts on X. Can you imagine Earth Song on the Bad album?

The songs that went on the [Bad] album were the ones that achieved a high level of art and craft.
The others simply were part of the process.
We worked fast. Some were good songs that we couldn't produce well in a few days, and maybe could get another try another day.
Some were so early that I had hope for them, but the time was up, and I thought we would carry on next time, like ES and MB.

I remember this image/logo leaked before the estate had announced T40, and even the biggest skeptics among us were like, “There’s absolutely no way this is real.”

This might be the most baffling estate decision to be completely honest. Without question one of the worst design “updates” I’ve ever seen in any medium.

Let alone the fact that it's probably one of the most instantly recognisable fonts/logos in music history for obvious reasons.

So Earth Song was conceived during the Bad sessions?

So instrumental pre-album, vocals post album. Interesting
This is what Bill's written about ES:

I hope I didn't confuse anybody.
[in 1986] Michael screened for me, in his screening room at Hayvenhurst - "The Emerald Forest"
Which was his way of asking me to prepare for Earth Song, which barely started at Hayvenhurst, with John Barnes just playing the 2 chords on piano.
Later, Michael screened "To Kill a Mockingbird" with Gregory Peck. His way of giving me meaning for the future song "Black or White"

Both of these VHS tapes I still have.

BTW. no song was written - but the 3rd VHS he gave me was "This is Elvis"

You all should watch it.

I would love to watch it all if he released it lmao

But as it is, there are some exceptionally strong outtakes in just the 80s alone. Full vocal takes, quite interesting songs for what they are.

Hot Street
Niteline
Dream Away
Buffalo Bill
Chicago 1945
Throwing Your Life Away

Imagine all of those on one disc. With a couple extra songs. Compare that to the collection on Xscape? That would remind everyone of MJ's immense talent.
Man, that sounds like a fantastic album. Add another couple of songs, and this will be Michael's best album since History.
