"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Ok lets get something straight! That new teaser! NOT TRAILER is blowing up everywhere! Its NOT the trailer yet and i think its even shorter than the last but the excitement it is building is off the scale!

If the movie really ends at the Bad Concert Wembley it would be wrong and many fans disappointed

Where are you seeing that? I seen a few posts on X and media outlets but didn’t get the impression it blew up , got the MJ fans hyped but I think you may be overestimating things.

What happens if this fails to clear 500 million at the box office?

That teaser with MJ walking to the stage - that has to be at the end of the concert , right? and about to perform Bad after a costume change?

Or will they flip the narrative and have MJ start the concert in that outfit and do wbss.
Possibly? I guess, we as fans who have detailed nerd knowledge about Michael´s concerts will have to do a considerable amount of controlled breathing and acceptance concerning how some of the images and the narrative of the movie will turn out, myself included

Honestly I can see the Bad tour performance at the end , aka the big finale , MJ opening with Bad , doing the new Billie Jean routine and then ending with Man in the mirror

I have been checking the revenue stats for TII the documentary. It says $267,983,588 worldwide. How will the biopic compete with TII?

Biopic:
+ real footage, real Michael
+ the height of popularity in the aftermath of his passing
- Michael being in a 60% effort modus

Biopic:
- no real Michael
- aftermath of Leaving Neverland

+ Jafaar being in a 100 % modus
+ professional effects

the little teaser got me really excited this time, definitely got me more in my feels than the november teaser. and Jaafar definitely looks promising.

Wasn't This Is It just a limited release? I remember the trailers saying only 2 weeks but I think it was extended.

The teaser has went pretty viral on twitter, yeah. Every time something from this movie gets posted it's everywhere. Hopefully that'll translate into people going to see it.
It's doing bigger numbers on Instagram & TikTok. The full trailer drop should be the start of the proper marketing push.

The two are not comparable!

TII was a huge success not only given its circumstances! Most successful concert film of all time until Taylor came around..

MICHAEL (The Biopic) will be a billion dollar movie!

And to all the naysayers sayers, doubters and parade rainers:
Prepare yourself, this first movie will end BEFORE you want it to end.
It will be a success, probably in more than one way. But it will definitely make money!

And then there WILL BE a Part 2, with the many things everybody already wants in the first one!

I just really hope Jaafar won’t end up like Austin Butler after Elvis movie. Playing someone like Michael Jackson is already an insane amount of pressure but being his nephew makes it 10 times heavier. If you look at Jaafar’s old Instagram posts, performances and just interviews, he looked so free, relaxed, just enjoying his life. After the movie, he feels much more locked in like the role aged him somehow and that honestly makes me sad. I’m sure part of it is the unrealistic expectations from some fans acting like he has to be Michael 1000% just because he’s family. This kind of pressure can really mess with a person

Berlin isn't exactly a great city. Munich would be much better. In January, there was a major attack on the power supply in Berlin. 45.000 household were affected for five whole days:eek: (Google Übersetzer)

Michael behind the scenes, entering the stage is of course an amazing vibe but I really don't understand why not in the WBSS/Bad Tour outfit..?

I'd really like to know what Jaafar will do with his newfound fame. Will he perform as an impersonator or launch a solo career? Will he make films and music? He certainly has enough talent for all of that.

I feel like after the biopic he might do something small with music, maybe some soundtracks or even just doing a cover a few of Michael’s songs. Of course there will be promotion but I don’t think he’ll go too far with it. He already experienced what it’s like to be in the center of something this big. Actually I hope he doesn’t become overly famous after the film. He seems to enjoy freedom, a normal life and not being chased by paparazzi/media
