The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

The core composition is by Porte and Cascio so it doesn't change anything but yeah little bit of it is Teddy ripping off himself lol. The crazy part is he is so successful he doesn't really even need to do stuff like this. Just does it for the love of the game.

Guys just a huge clown idk what else to say

Agreed. Maybe they couldnt pay him enough so he just sampled himself?

This reminds me of when was in that battle with Babyface and had to resort to his I Get Lonely remix for songs he's made. Someone else tried to tell me in a YouTube comment section he had "mad street cred" and the most of any MJ producer, especially Bryan lmao
which is funny because there were multiple pre-MJ songs he's made that he could've just used ("Make It Last Forever," "Groove Me," "Made To Be Together," "I Like The Way (The Kissing Game") but that, of all things, is what he chooses.

How are we sure that is not MJ? With that medium sound quality it could be
It’s not. Still I’m so curious about where that MJ version is. Because his version is supposedly a finished recording right? It seems even Teddy doesn’t have it and nobody on the Dangerous team ever mentions that song. It also never seemed to be in contention for any of the posthumous albums.
That song is such a mystery for me, I really like the Blackstreet version.

Again. Teddy mentions at the end of the clip I posted how this only has the 1st verse because that's all Michael recorded.

But then again, how can we even trust the slightest details from Teddy about Michael's recordings? We can't. His comment about only 1st verse existinf makes no sense anyway considering he is playing Marcus Josephs cover demo of the song... which contains a 2nd verse.

We basically do not know for sure if a version with Michael's vocals exists or not because Teddy can't be trusted in this scenario.

Found a clip where Teddy presents the song Joy live, couldn't find a youtube clip.

He also says Michael only recorded the 1st verse for the demo
which makes no sense when you realize that not only did the Estate (possibly) consider Joy for Xscape, but Tammy Lucas' words about Joy mentioned nothing about Michael only doing the first verse.

plus Lucas mentioned that MJ's version of Joy sounded more disco-esque so Teddy expecting us to take a cover of the song (which has identical production to the final version) at face value is even more laughable in hindsight.

I was looking for videos about Joy and came across this. What a load of BS. Michael was already set on a collage by the time those illustrations were made.

Also, just in case anyone is doubting if that sounds like MJ (it really doesn't):

I'll be surprised if it was never considered for an album, if songs like "Boy No" and "Red Eye" - songs of which we believed to be completely unusable to the Estate - were revealed to have been posthumously reworked then it's safe to assume there are more songs they've gone through which will come as a total surprise to us. It's crazy how much of a rabbit hole the MJ vault is, even long after Michael's death.

Agreed with what you said though, ever since a member from Blackstreet said that Michael's version is different from their own I've been interested in hearing it. Isn't Michael's version sung in a faster tempo?

It was considered, briefly.

I’ve heard it was considered for Xscape. Can’t say my source

If it weren't for Lucas' words on the track I would doubt the song had any substantial vocals at all.

Aside from it just being very obviously not MJ, the actual singer has published his cover in multiple versions which is the same vocal Teddy is playing claiming to be MJ. This is why I said I wouldn't be surprised if Teddy were to be someone to pull some AI bs with the estate, he clearly has no problem claiming vocals that aren't MJ are him lol. Lied about Marcus being MJ, lied about Jason being MJ (multiple times over the course of several years and just now is telling the truth after over a decade), lied about SWG's BOTDF mix being a mix he had done for the song, the list goes on.

who said Boy No was unusable?
Before "Boy No" leaked it was believed that all the song had was a mumbled verse and a chorus, practically in the same state of completion as "Days In Gloucestershire". If that was the case the Estate wouldn't even give the song a thought.

Wait. Did it leak in full?
