Aussie Fans: Thriller 25 Party friday night (Melbourne)

Oh man, that sucks. So far away. Australian fans holler at me if there's ever an MJ party in Brisbane or the Gold Coast. I'd love to meet up with other MJ fans in person, but it's hard because I'm the typical poor uni student that can't afford to go further than the train can take me. It's like a hundred bucks to catch a bus from Brisbane to Melbourne. Which sucks, because I'd definitely be prepared to travel that far for an MJ party. The cost is the only thing holding me back. Not the distance or travel time.
 
The mod on here- L.J is from Melbourne. She better check this thread aye.

Ey Team,

Was there for about 90mins tonight and was very dissapointed. At the entrance where the bouncers were, they were blasting billie jean through some outdoor speakers which was very promising...
Then inside they were playing mostly 80's/90's music... the whole time I was there they only played 1 MJ song, Thriller!! I spotted quite a few people doing MJ moves which was cool, but that was it!!!!

The only other thing was they had MJ short films playing on the big screen all night (the #1's dvd since it included that ridiculous edit of Smooth Criminal).

I'm actually gonna email and complain.

The only other good thing was I picked up the Thriller 25 cd afterwards... was #2 on the sales charts at Jb HiFi which is pretty impressive. The new remixes as you know by now aren't that bad as far as remixes go... except for Beat It 2008 which actually makes me cringe... it really is shockingly bad... what were they thinking?!!!
 
No problem L.J, too bad you couldn't go.

Lynx- argh...I guess it's ok, at least they did play that great DVD :D I would have like to see people doing MJ moves haha.
