Well after taking a good few minutes to capture all of your eyes with a fantastically creative title bearing some relevance to what I want to discuss. I would like to share with you what I have witnessed over the past few months and how I think that Michael Jackson can evolve and work the 'new' concept of the 1980's being cool again.
Is it just me or have you been hearing the term 'nu-rave' a lot lately? Seen teenagers wearing brightly colored and neon printed shirts with 'Born in the 80's' or 'Acceptable in the 80's' paraded on the front? Noticed music not only resembling the sounds we heard during the 1980's but songs talking about the 1980's, a prime example being 'Calvin Harris - Acceptable in the 80's' smash hit earlier last year.
Now, I after my rambling of examples and fashion lesson, I would like to talk about how this could relate to Michael Jackson and his new album. Wouldn't this time of reflection on the decade of the 1980's be a perfect time for Michael to release an album so unique yet marketable, almost paying homage to the sounds we heard from 'Bad' and 'Thriller'.
Use of synthesizers, talk boxes, keyboards, clavinets, the list can go on forever, would be a sound so relevant yet unique to this day and age, and who else better to pioneer this new sound other than Michael Jackson, undoubtedly the most famous and creative star of the period.
It is just a thought, but I really think it would be groundbreaking, to bring a whole decade of music back, by someone who pretty much was 1980's music!
