Big Tattoo & Piercing Thread

I am curious

People with MJ tattoos, how do others react to them?
Well, mine are not that obvious, so I don't know if my answer is helpful. The tattoo artists who did them always were very positive about Michael.

Other people who ask about my tattoos are mainly friends/family. They say it looks cool, don't specifically say anything about Michael...but I have talked with them about him anyways on other occasions, so...

Strangers only say "cool tattoos", because it's many 😅.

Doesn't matter though, it's your body and you can do with it whatever you want 🙂

*wiping the dust off this thread* - so because I am a tattoo-apprentice (kind of, doing it parallel to my actual job), I stumbled across this artist on insta, wanted to share with you. He does a really amazing job 😎.

And my next tattoo is in about three weeks, finally getting a decent MJ-tattoo and I am excited and needed to share this, too 😂. Bye, money.

Let's bring this thread back to life!

Insane work wow

These are all the piercings I’ve had so far. My most recent are my angel bites (aka double Monroe’s). Pictured in this post are helix, lobe, eyebrow, snake bites and belly button. I got the angel bites because they remind me of the cute little whisker pads on animals XD maybe I’ll get create a custom MJ belly button ring 😜

I like piercings - but not on me. I only have two in my ears. Once you think they are healed for a week or two they start hurting again just because you looked at them in the wrong way 😂. It's nuts...only tattoos for me from now on 🙈.

Hahaha 😆 the spiciest piercing I’ve had out of all of them so far was my helix. Not gonna lie, I did shed a tear 🥲😂 the rest didn’t hurt much. My snake bites did get infected the second time they were pierced and it left permanent scarring all across the inside of my lower lip…that wasn’t fun. The piercer said I likely had an allergic reaction to the material the jewelry was made out of.

The piercings themselves never really hurt, it's just the healing process that drives me nuts 🥲.

Allergic reaction? Oh...I thought the first jewellery should always be titanium and it's not possible to be allergic to that? Or was it after you changed jewellery?

I have a Rook and a Conch. Conch is healed after...3 years now? 🫠

Oh okay 👍 yeah I also hate the healing process.

I bought jewelry from a different shop and my lower bottom lip started turning yellow. They sold me cheap jewelry made out of a material covered in black paint that wasn’t safe. It’s healed but now I have two large bumps of extra skin over the piercing holes.

Wrinkles because of second skin and not perfectly straight because try photographing your inner arm 🙈. Plans were changed a little because we didn't have enough space 😅
I love the zebra motif! And rhe font is beautiful, too.

Off topic: I just love how Michael used visual arts ... especially for his DANGEROUS album.

Ouch, that doesn't sound good 🙈. Yeah, sticking to tattoos is the way to go, believe me 😅

Yes, but I (personally) don't want portraits on me. First of all, I would never be satisfied how it looks, I would always be like "but his eye is 1mm too small compared to the picture!" 😂 and second reason is, I wouldn't want poor Michael to be all wrinkly when I get older hahaha...no, no...

Those are pretty valid points, actually.
If someone could whittle it down and make it small—an ankle or sole tattoo, perhaps—maybe it could work in general. I came pretty close to having one myself cause I’ve always toyed with the Herb Ritts 'who is it' photo, yet it is a pretty big/lengthy picture. However, I had a million second thoughts, which weren't about wrinkles, haha! You are right, since it has to be perfect. It is a huge deal and a serious commitment to trust your body to be marked for life by someone else's hands and vision. I applaud those who have their tattoos, though.
There was another pretty good image of him that made me think, 'wow, I would so go for that as a tattoo.' I'm not sure if it is on this thread, but I did rave about it. It is b/w and showing his face and those eyes. Unfortunately, the artist is not a tattoo artist. Yet they made it really simple and minimalistic enough for a possible piece of body art. I have considered their work, too.
Super beautiful.

Tbh I don't think too much about the pro and cons before getting a tattoo, after a certain point you don't really care anymore and live the yolo-lifestyle 😂. But portraits are not for me. Maybe just an eye or a silhouette, but we'll see. I have too many ideas and not enough time and money 🥲.

Yep, when it's quite minimalistic it works fine for a tattoo. If you want one, you should do it. Maybe start with a small one, go to an artist who's style you like and just do it. Don't overthink too much 😊.

... or sagging 🫠 No, forreal! Young people are scared of wrinkles, but there is sagging as well 🫠😅
Yeah, to have your own face changing AND an additional tattooed face, ... nope 🤣
