Ok, I'm about to piss some people off, but I think that mentality is BS (it's so onesided). There shouldn't be any violence towards anyone PERIOD. Our children should be taught to not lay there hands on anyone, not just women. Saying, "never lay your hand on a woman" can give little girls/women the notion that they can provoke and get physical themselves without repercussion because a man can and should never hit a woman. Well, I'm sorry, but if you are a bitch to me and hit me in my face (and I am a man) be prepared for me to knock your ass out. Sorry. Call me a monster, but I am not gonna lie. Have I ever hit a woman? Nope. I am not a violent person but I have every right to defend myself be it against a man or a woman.
