Re: Conrad Murray is now released from Jail Oct 28th 12:01 am [News and Discussion Thread]

BoycottCM has this posted for fans to view without providing hits to sites like TMZ
http://boycottcmcampaign.tumblr.com/post/65356221567/boycottcm-conrad-murrays-first-stop-as-a-free

Also, people are under the HUGE misconception that Murray's hair is 'short' in his pictures right after release. This is insaccurate. Murray actually has a 'compacted fro'. Said fro is more than likely patted down and molded into the dome shape that is visible below.
http://31.media.tumblr.com/d7e8f38535c0aafd973fecc68acb2dde/tumblr_mve8c4SkSq1smws5ro1_500.jpg

In the images of him with his son, which were taken AFTER his release, his fro is styled and picked, which makes his hair look longer because its been picked into a fro.
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/10/29/article-0-191086E600000578-888_634x801.jpg

Proof that these images are AFTER his release is in this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofw4zGQlTLI

The images with his son were paid for by npg.com that is clearly in the watermark of the video. It is evident that he had them photoshop the pics to remove some of the aging that was visible in TMZ's pics.

Re: Conrad Murray is now released from Jail Oct 28th 12:01 am [News and Discussion Thread]

Do we have to see pictures of him?

VeraR and Mneme, I personally feel conflicted posting in this thread however, I wanted to say I agree with you.

I am also unsure of the purpose of having media outlets' articles/clips about the doctor in a central location stored by an unknown source. Nothing has changed except a middleman has been added.

Fansites are pasting the information from the boycott site instead of the media outlets’ sites to their respective fansites which I understand may decrease these outlets’ revenue in clicks. However, the fan reaction is still monitored by the media outlets because those articles/clips are still discussed within those fansites. Articles/clips that cater to a certain base (which includes some fans) will continue to be published based on demand which translates to continued profit to the media outlets.

I agree the doctor should not be allowed to profit from his fatal crime however, I do not believe the media outlets should continue to profit from his fatal crime as they have since the doctor was charged.

Re: Conrad Murray is now released from Jail Oct 28th 12:01 am [News and Discussion Thread]

You don't understand this invention, Vera!

See: These unnamed boycott-people were thinking: 'Why should the fans click to every media side to read about Murray? For every single medium is every click meaning: money. And this money we can earn if we bundle up the press articles on one (our) webside.'

I never have heard from any appeal initiated from anonym people. Before one will support an appeal he would ask 'Who is/are the initiator/s from this appeal?'. It is important to know who is the initiator in due many reasons.
But it seems for this boycott it should be not important or the initiator want not show his or their face(es).
I never have seen something like that (and I have seen much in my life).

I don't quite understand whether you're agreeing with me or not!

I was looking at things simply from the viewers standpoint. You seem to be questioning the motives of the anonymous organisers of the campaign, implying that they are making money from it somehow. Is that right?

Re: Conrad Murray is now released from Jail Oct 28th 12:01 am [News and Discussion Thread]

Please don't bring false accusations against the campaign . I'm sure you mean well but ... please be informed.

The boycott Murray Tumbler blog site is not making any money or profit from posting articles for the fans. What evidence did you you see to even assume that? Anyone can look and see the blog is add free and is actually just a Tumbler blog which is part of the main Boycott Conrad Murray project.

Also the actual fans who created the Boycott Conrad Murray project are not unknown or anonymous in the Pro Active MJ fan base. If you are not out there pro actively, you may not know of them. ( Melanie Freeman, Michael Jackson Fans of NY City, One Rose For MJJ ) You can see some of the names of those who are backing it on on the Boycott FB page. MJJC is one of many fan bases backing them 100%. We know these fans from past experience and their reputation. We have worked with them on other projects. We trust their judgment unless we see something to make us not trust. So far that hasn't happened present or past.

MJJC also provide the same service here as The Boycott Blog of posting videos, articles for the fans with no links allowed to the media and tabloids. (we don't profit either ) Some videos are copied from the boycott Tumbler blog because they do the work to upload them to an off site. It is the best way we have right now to help keep fan traffic off these sites who profit. There is no profit made for the media by the fans reading material off site on boycott Murray Tumbler blog or in here. The Media only profits from people clicking on their tabloid and media sites. They also do not profit by monitoring what fans discuss off their sites and would only profit if the discussion was linked to their site.

MJJC would not support or back this project if we felt they were using it to profit. There is no evidence to even suggest they are. You don't have to agree with it, but is is an honest effort by fans for the fans and not something to profit from. There are many who appreciate.

**** The Purpose of the Boycott is not to stop fans from staying informed or unable discuss Murray or his actions. The Purpose is to minimize the profit of Murray or the websites who profit off him. We know it is impossible to stop it 100 %. The Media only profits from people clicking on their tabloid and media sites. This is the best solution for the fanbase at this point. It is a honest effort and not an effort to profit.

Re: Conrad Murray is now released from Jail Oct 28th 12:01 am [News and Discussion Thread]

Do MJ fans want to avoid TMZ profiting from the stories about Murray? The stories about him is less than 1% of the articles that they run. Also, if fans go and paste the stories and pictures posted by TMZ on a different site, the result is next to none, because fans are still reading the stories, which is the purpose of the site.

Re: Conrad Murray is now released from Jail Oct 28th 12:01 am [News and Discussion Thread]

I dont want to see pictures of that killer now. but oh sure, now we have to see pictures with his kids, how lovely that is, how happy,... disgusting!
i want to see pictures when they throw him into jail, all that stuff, but that was off cource no released. cause that would help michael jackson fans. paparazis, justice system and the media are assholes!

The purpose of TMZ is not that you read. They could care less. The purpose is to get you to click on their website which is full of adds that pay $$ them $$ for every click on their site. TMZ and other media tabloid sites are not in the business of truth for us to read. They are in the business of making money.

There is no profit made for the TMZ/ media by the fans reading material off site on boycott Murray Tumbler blog or on MJJC. The Media only profits from people clicking on their tabloid and media sites. They also do not profit by monitoring what fans read or discuss off their sites and would only profit if the discussion was linked to their site. We don't allow any pics, videos or articles about Murray that link to the media sites and neither does the Boycott Murray site.

Re: Conrad Murray is now released from Jail Oct 28th 12:01 am [News and Discussion Thread]

Qbee, clicking on a link is not the only method of profit for these media outlets. The media outlets realize future profits when they monitor fansites (as well as social media) because they can easily gauge demand and can tailor their articles to a certain base that includes some fans. Monitoring allows the media outlets to know what articles/clips will generate an expected, predicted, response which allows for increased traction, and therefore, increase profit.

Fans will know the moment articles/clips regarding the doctor are not profitable because the media outlets will cease to cover him because they will not cover him at a lost. The media outlets only cover this killer because there is a demand that equates to profit and they have been successful in that since the doctor was charged. They do not do it to keep fans or the general public informed.

Re: Conrad Murray is now released from Jail Oct 28th 12:01 am [News and Discussion Thread]

^^ Thank you. your opinion is noted but for now this is the best solution to inhibit them from gaining increased profitable hits to their site from our members. We know we can't stop them from profiting 100 %. but it is an honest effort to slow down their traffic because we realize fans are curious. So we give them an alternative.

Conrad Murray Won’t Be Able To EVER Practice Medicine In U.S. —
He Can’t Get Medical Malpractice Insurance!

Posted on Nov 1, 2013 @ 4:15AM | By Jen Heger - Assistant Managing Editor

Conrad Murray has sued the state of Texas in an effort to get his medical license back after being released from jail earlier this week for his conviction in the involuntary manslaughter death of Michael Jackson — but RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that even if the disgraced former cardiologist is successful in legal efforts to have his medical license reinstated, the convicted felon won’t be able to obtain medical malpractice insurance which is needed to practice medicine.

“Conrad Murray’s medical malpractice insurance was revoked as soon as he was convicted of the involuntary manslaughter death of Michael Jackson. Murray won’t be able to obtain medical malpractice insurance because no company would cover him. He used horrible judgment in giving propofol to Michael Jackson in a home setting,” a source close to the situation told Radar.

“It doesn’t matter if Conrad had a blemish free record prior to Michael’s death….the facts don’t change, he gave anesthesia to a patient for sleep purposes. So Murray can file all the appeals he wants, and it’s highly unlikely he will be given his medical license back… At the end of the day, he won’t be able to get the necessary medical malpractice insurance.”

Murray was sentenced in 2011 to four years in prison for his involuntary manslaughter conviction in Jackson’s 2009 death from an overdose of propofol. He walks out of the facility having served two years, to the chagrin of the Jackson family.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office will be closely monitoring Murray to make sure he isn’t able to practice medicine.

“If he tries to get a medical license in the U.S. or anywhere around the world, the D.A. will make sure the appropriate officials are aware that he was convicted of killing someone because he used propofol in a house,” a source previously told Radar.

“He is a danger to any potential patients because he lacks proper judgment skills.”

Since being released from jail earlier this week, Murray had his hair dyed from grey to black, and has been lamenting that he isn’t to blame for Jackson’s death.

According to court docs filed by Murray in Texas, he claims he is more than $400,000 in debt and needs his medical license back so he can earn a living.

Qbee, thank you. The internet is a supplemental profit to the larger, dependable profit from advertisers via television and newspapers/magazines.

From me too: Thanks for your explanation, qbee!!!
No, it was not meant as false accusation! I never was on this boycott side because I didn’t know from what people this side is and so I presumed there would be advertising spots for products or so. Sorry for that, please.
See, now I get an answer on my question in posting # 64 “who is the boycott starter?” and at least it is a little bit more transparent.

You wrote: “Also the actual fans who created the Boycott Conrad Murray project are not unknown or anonymous in the Pro Active MJ fan base.” Honestly here on the end of the world I don’t know what that is this ‘Pro Active MJ fan base’.

Actually I do not want read or hear or see about Murray. For me he should simply go away. What ever he will do in the future he will always be the man who killed Michael Jackson and that is his package what is always with him. For me that is his punishment. He receives to much attention from MJ Fans in my opinion and with that in my opinion he goes bigger and more known. I don’t understand this hysteria.

Re: Conrad Murray/ No media links allowed [News and Discussion Thread]

Here is a compromise. For those who are upset in seeing info on Murray, just don't click into any threads involving him. Problem solved. There are others here who wish to keep educated and informed of his whereabouts, and for good reason.

I appreciate qbee posting all the info that she has on this subject. It's a way for us to keep updated, without letting the likes of TMZ, etc. take advantage of the fans.

GreenEyes, they are separate issues. Fans being informed is one issue while media outlets taking advantage of fans is another. The media outlets have been, are, and will continue to be successful there unfortunately. However, that’s another thread.

He is danger to any people, not just patients, because he lacks proper judgement skills in private and medical area. Whatever bad happen to him, it is always someone elses fault, poor CM that santa forgot:doh:

Re: Conrad Murray/ No media links allowed [News and Discussion Thread]

No talk show should do a interview with CM his has nothing to say period.

I am just so upset that justice has not be done for Michael. Everyday i still feel the pain when we first heard the news that Michael had pass away it is a feeling that i don't have words to explain it. I just can't believe it and to think that CM only got for years for killing Michal another hunman begin so unfair.

My goal is to make sure my voice is heard that CM doesn't profit off of Michael name if i can stop this in anyway i will do it for Michael we are his fans and it time for our voices to be heard.

Miss you King Of Pop my love for you will never die.

Re: Conrad Murray/ No media links allowed [News and Discussion Thread]

I can handle reading information about what is going on so we can act to help Michael when it's possible. I don't want to come in a thread and see Murray's face. It's painful because he killed Michael and it's always going to be a fact. I want to see Michael. He should still be here.

Re: Conrad Murray/ No media links allowed [News and Discussion Thread]

I agree with Marebear. We could have one photo of the slimeball if it comes up, but if people could refrain from quoting it in their comments, that would be good.

Re: Conrad Murray/ No media links allowed [News and Discussion Thread]

Let me be clear I am not here defending Murray in any way. I despise the man totally. But I truly want to understand why we need to follow his every step, if he is just living his miserable life.

Hopefully, the publishers have enough insight to know that taking on publishing Murray's book will bring them a whole lot of trouble and would be a money losing proposition. The fan community may be divided, but there is one thing we all have in common, and that's our disgust with that man. Any publisher who would attempt to put out his book would surely feel the backlash from all over the world and could only lose money on that deal. We can only hope no one would be dumb enough to take it on.
