Do not give up hope. Netflix may pick it up. Look how many fans were "gloom doom" when this trash aired and look at all the lies that have been debunked and MJ still doing great. Do not be surprise if it is not on Netflix especially after what Dave Chappelle said. What does anyone one fear by not having it on Netflix? people have a RIGHT to see BOTH sides now and if anyone want to 'repress" MJ side that means they have a motive to hide the TRUTH.

Very true. A lot of fans were concerned about the outcome of all this, me included. But Mike stands stronger then ever, has brand new fans too. The goal clearly was to destroy him and his art forever, for him to be banned everywhere and thank God none of that happened. Very true about Dave Chapelle, I liked how Netflix just went and put that on their service.

Hmm, interesting thought. I wouldn't go so far as to think it will be on Netflix (that's too unrealistic IMO unfortunately), but they were certainly aware what they were doing when they aired Chappelle's (a bit harsh) comment on the topic. To think about it, this may have been the first moment in US MSM to allow a different opinion on W&R's accusation - an opinion no doubt many shares, but are too scared to say in public.

Also interesting at the Netflix Emmy after party:

Are those two from Netflix? Because I've no idea who they are.

Are those two from Netflix? Because I've no idea who they are.
There's this miniseries by Netflix "When They See Us" based on true events about five wrongfully convicted young men. Korey Wise was one of them (in real life), Jharrel Jerome is the actor who played him and won an Emmy for his performance.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7137906/
The footage when they are dancing to MJ is from Netflix's after party celebration.

I hope this clarifies everything. :) It's just a very ironic situation from many angles.

I think it's much too easy to say Michael has been targeted since 2005 'because' he is black. There seem to be much bigger agendas at play, including NAMBLA, Geffen, the major law firm involved, and everyone else who aims to make money from MJ-article clicks, or by having MJ 'suppressed' so that their own music/ entertainment / personality gets a chance to take the centre stage (maybe like Oprah).
I agree the case is much more complex and many people are involved or simply just try to benefit from the situation (e.g. I don't think Weinstein is behind LN, but he sure tries to use it as a distraction and benefit from it as much as he can).

But MJ wasn't targeted since just 2005 (not even 1993), it started way before Bad (I became a fan during Bad, so I wasn't interested in MJ before and never read tabloids but still encountered stupid stories about him, it was almost inevitable). I think it started after the unexpected success of Thriller and especially after MJ bought the catalogue.

He was never a "media darling" (don't confuse the big exposure forced by his enormous success with media acceptance), and when he became more and more successful and influential the stories became more and more cruel - and part of the reason was racism IMO ("he stole the catalogue, and anyway, why wasn't he happy as just a song and dance man, why does he want more, doesn't he know his place?!"). And then came the WJ term. I'm not sure about the first use of it, but it was there already during the Bad era - so way before the allegations. I wasn't even a fan yet but noticed the hatred thrown at MJ for no obvious reason and was shocked by it. And things got just worse ever since.

So I think among the roots of hard feelings against MJ there was indeed racism. During the decades the original cause may have faded away, but the "freak persona" it created remained influencing everything.

Sorry if this seems a bit off topic but I think it's like the square one to Square One. The allegations could only work because: 1) the media wasn't invested in the truth, they were happy to justify the "freak persona" they created, 2) the public didn't ask for investigation either, as they accepted this "freak persona" and simply didn't think of MJ as a human being anymore and therefore didn't care.

I agree. I only said 'since 2005' because I think racism was a bigger part of the picture in the earlier days. But maybe since 2016 (Trump) it might be a bigger part of the picture again in the USA (but I don't think worldwide).

There's this Vogel article about how MJ's music was treated by critics during the decades. I think it's an interesting reading as it shows how MJ wasn't accepted as an artist either: https://www.theatlantic.com/enterta...nderstood-power-of-michael-jacksons-music/252

In addition to a flood of ridicule regarding his intelligence, race, sexuality, appearance, and behavior, even his success and ambition were used by critics as evidence that he lacked artistic seriousness. Reviews frequently described his work as "calculating," "slick," and "shallow." Establishment rock critics such as Dave Marsh and Greil Marcus notoriously dismissed Jackson as the first major popular music phenomenon whose impact was more commercial than cultural. Elvis Presley, the Beatles, and Bruce Springsteen, they claimed, challenged and re-shaped society. Jackson simply sold records and entertained.
You see? Just a song and dance man.

The cultural gatekeepers not only failed to initially recognize the legitimacy of these new musical styles and forms, they also tended to overlook or reduce the achievements of the African-American men and women who pioneered them. The King of Jazz, for white critics, wasn't Louis Armstrong, it was Paul Whiteman; the King of Swing wasn't Duke Ellington, it was Benny Goodman; the King of Rock wasn't Chuck Berry or Little Richard, it was Elvis Presley.

Given this history of white coronation, it is worth considering why the media took such issue with referring to Michael Jackson as the King of Pop.

It seemed the only way Michael Jackson could get covered was if he was presented as a freak, a curiosity, a spectacle. Even reviews of his albums, post-Thriller, focused on the sensational and were overwhelmingly condescending, when not outright hostile.

Even from the start he (and the whole genre he represented/was pigeonholed into) was sort of underrated and rejected by the "influencers" of the era: music critics and such who maintained only rock music had artistic merits and only acknowledged their own favourites (who were indeed great artists but not the only ones). A very good example of that is Rolling Stone, but I guess we all know the story of MTV's initial refusal to put Billie Jean on rotation (and it's 1983 we're talking about, not the 60's).

It's very telling to check out the list of those who had more Rolling Stone cover than MJ, while he had only 8 (one of them from the J5 era, two after he died, one with Paul McCartney so not just him, and one was that horrible caricature you can see in the below twitter conversation).
Or remember their constant search for the "new king of pop" (one being Justin Timberlake)?

And BTW: why wasn't there an outcry about that caricature cover? It recalls racist depictions (what's that cartoon nose?!), belittling to MJ as a human being and as an artist, the title is insulting and condescending making sure to the reader they don't take MJ seriously at all.

Lots of haters trying to put it down on twitter. Shows it hit a nerve
What do they have to fear? TRUTH. There is not changing stories, lying to tabs to be paid, lying under oath, etc on this side. Haters like know the truth but they hate to admit they are wrong or just want to start drama on twitter.

I think people will watch it out of curiosity, I bet even the haters watch it as well, though they would probably never admit it
haters know it is BS but they can not admit they are wrong.

That is the reason I love Joe Vogel so much. He is contextualizing everything and restoring Michael's rightful place in music history. Growing up a fan of Michael's I was so frustrated with the blatant racism and denigration Michael was subjected to. It was so painfully obvious. Grateful that Vogel is setting the record STRAIGHT!

Spot on! Perfect assessment imo. Also, this is exactly the reason why the media will never be able to bring Michael down. They never built him up to begin with. It was all between The King and The People. That relationship is solid and it will LAST.

Lovely way of putting it. MJ lives forever because he connected to us and not the media. He didn't make critic bait music. He made music for us.

I think the huge surpriseingly influencial and very fastly growing as an unreachable global sucess from a black man in the thrillerera and the growing maybe never reached deep, special power MJ suddenly got with it over millions of people worldwide what no dictator or king maybe ever had in history (interestingly only with creating an unpolitical, peaceful artistic masterpeace which reaches and touches nearly everyone deeply over every border for generations and cause love) was absolutly dangerous in the eye of the people who wanted to have the control over this world and its futre.

After MJ then started do build up this power with bying the ATV catlog and using it with more and more stronger becoming actions to change as much as possible and embrase every follower with an growing irreisistable tenderness over the years, they got very very frighten of him.
He became their biggest enemy they thought they needed to bring down as best as they can to control him and formed this conspiricy against him til today.

Yes... racism played a role and most of the media and other famous powerful people never really liked MJ, but this, his race, sucess, fame, look or what ever is not the main reson why there is an agenda til this day to destroy MJ too keep fighting, and to finally bring him down.
Its his huge influential, unique, unbelivable unifying power he has and embrase the masses with and his decission to use it over and over again to lead them to a big change til his last breath.

They thought they had won the game when MJs body had to leave this world and broke his "spell" but they had to panicly watch how it got only much more stronger and noticeble in this moment and the weeks after it then ever before!
They still not want such an human (/heart) catchable unifying force besides an maybe invented controlable god in this word to keep in control, so they kept fighting and and started their maybe last and biggest punch against it with the globally well constructed payed airing of "Leaving Neverland" movie to finally bring it down...

But they only really reached some lost idiots with it who were too stupid, closeminded, lazy, not well educated to see through it.

Maybe it takes only one more year now and Tajs documentery to make them finally realize that they have lost and can never win this game!
I think they have now played nearly every card on the table that was possible from what people got bored long time before LN.
There is not really anything more effectively left to do and MJ and his army will now win on the long hand like he did it alredy for years!

They only destroying themself and their power when they keep fighting!
MJ really is unbreakable and the truth (and love) will run the marathon!

I know this are strange thoughts and very naive optimism but we will see what the future brings.
I still have a very strong belive in MJ and his force and try to not stop hopeing.

It's cause Reed is likely a peado who is hiding in plain sight and is probably laughing at those who are to stupid to see that something isn't right about him. I had the same feeling about Jimmy Saville, i thought he was creepy when he was alive, i get the same vibes from Reed.

I looked up his IMDB and I seen he done previous work on peadophiles so if anyone knows the launguage they use or how they slip through the net it's him. He most likely started doing it to cover his own tracks so he won't get tracked down

Absolutely agree about Reed. I would not be surprised if someday something comes out about him, but people don't believe it because "but look at all he's done to expose this issue! He surely wouldn't be involved in that himself!1!!" Barf.

I think the huge surpriseingly influencial and very fastly growing as an unreachable global sucess from a black man in the thrillerera and the growing maybe never reached deep, special power MJ suddenly got with it over millions of people worldwide what no dictator or king maybe ever had in history (interestingly only with creating an unpolitical, peaceful artistic masterpeace which reached and touched nearly everyone deeply over every border for generations) was absolutly dangerous in the eye of the people who wanted to have the control over this world and its futre.

Its his huge influential, unique, unbelivable unifying power he can reach and embrase the masses with and his decission to use it over and over again to lead them to a big change til his last breath.

Maybe it takes only one more year now and Tajs documentery to make them realize that they now have lost and can never win this game!

You summed it up!

You see the story of the 6th grader who just LIED about her class mates cutting off her dreads. The media is reporting that lie and I want to know when is the media going to expose these 2 proven liars in LN? I want to see how the media cover the SquareoneMJ piece. If not, this will show the bias even more of the media. Blacks lie and get exposed and they get blasted;2 PROVEN white guys lie with plenty of proof proving they are liars and their lies get awarded and pushed by the media.

I highly recommend John Ziegler's latest podcast with Taj and Charles Thomson.

"It was the media manufacturing this ridiculous fake controversy. Which was all just this microcosm of middle class, white, woke journalists, all writing for each other. Who's outraged? They're all just quoting each other about how outraged they are. Where are the actual people?"

Ha. Brilliant.

Love this post and agree with every word!!!!

I live in Manchester. I'm aware he did a peado program for Channel 4 a couple of years back

yes he did and other things as well, when I said I had seen them I didn't mean I had watched them (I would rather stick pins in my eyes than watch his crap) I was having a look to see what he had made and came across them, he doesn't seem to have made anything that's normal as far as I'm aware
