The whole sequence is based on a videogame. It's specifically designed to appeal to kids.I also would’ve chosen the graffiti effects-version. The original makes Michael look like a rowdy —and it’s a bad influence on kids.
Hello HappyLee!It's a cheap AI upscale (fake 4K), but the source has slightly better quality than the Dangerous short films DVD.

The one that looks like AI is the official 4K version. The other one is the 960p upscale I made in 2020.
I appreciate the Thriller 4k for the clarity, but the colour and brightness absolutely kills the atmosphere of the video for me. I realise we are probably just used to how the original film was transferred to VHS/DVD, but Thriller should always be dark.Still to this day the 'HIStory on Film, Vol 2" DVD has the best quality videos out. Minus the 4K updates... Which I like but they messed up the color and aspect ratio on Thriller.
Can you download it?REMEMBER THE TIME OFICIAL 4K IA UPSCALE in apple Music
Sorry i try but is complicated i know someone that can get the video from the Apple servers to get the max quality, and tomorrow maybe he do it, but don't worry in a few hours its in YouTube but you are missing anything its a IA UpscaleCan you download it?
Let's see which tape they used hereREMEMBER THE TIME OFICIAL 4K IA UPSCALE in apple Music
The preview looked 50/50. I looked at AppleMusic for 30 seconds. Typical upscaling from a DVD, as far as I'm concerned, I can use Topaz AI, and the Estate will hire me lolLet's see which tape they used here![]()
Who says they should?the one that should set the standard—
When did they promise this?the legacy they’re supposed to protect.
men its Just AI in all the videoI’m gonna withhold judgment until I see the full thing and not screen caps. But Jesus H. Christ, just don’t do it if you aren’t gonna use the source film reels.
the video look just fine, more "Sharper" and "Definition" of the better source they found, but in the dance brake its where the problem is.The only explanation I can find for all this is that they lost the original films, and that's why they're doing this AI thing; otherwise, it wouldn't make any sense. From the Remember the Time screenshots or the 30-second preview, it looks horrible. We'll see how it looks on YouTube.
Takes effort and caring to do it right, take from that what you will, lol.The only explanation I can find for all this is that they lost the original films, and that's why they're doing this AI thing; otherwise, it wouldn't make any sense. Maybe the quality difference would be very noticeable if it happened all the time. Most of Remember the Time doesn't have effects so that should be real 4K.People always say that they can't use the original films because of the special effects, but what would be stopping them from using the original films for all the parts that don't have special effects and then use the tapes with AI upscaling only for the parts with special effects?
OTW videos: tapeI never thought about in which format all the short films were filmed. Is there a list/info which ones can really be transferred to 4K?
It would look like this video. I don't think they used any AI, just left the special effects parts like they were on the videotape.People always say that they can't use the original films because of the special effects, but what would be stopping them from using the original films for all the parts that don't have special effects and then use the tapes with AI upscaling only for the parts with special effects?

They could, if they wanted to.at least they could try right?
