I agree. There is no smoking gun, although all the attorneys seem to agree that the gun is indeed smoking. It is almost as though they use one brain and plan to say the same thing.

[h=1]The *****-pot: Family alrady dreaming of AEG Live suit’s billions

Family dreams of suit’s billions[/h]
  • By STACY BROWN

The Jacksons are already counting the billions they’re convinced they’ll get in their wrongful-death suit against concert promoter AEG Live.

Family sources said matriarch Katherine, 83, and her children, Rebbie, 63, Jermaine, 58, and Randy, 51, have been meeting regularly at a secret location in Beverly Hills to discuss how to divvy up the loot. Even superstar Janet, 48, attended a couple of the sessions.

The civil case — brought by Michael Jackson’s mother and three children, Prince, 16, Paris, 15, and Blanket, 11 — is expected to wrap next month

“You’re still talking about each getting at least a billion,” an insider said. “A little less if Jackie, Tito, Marlon and Latoya decide they want a piece.”They are seeking a jury award for as much as $40 billion. The money would be split four ways, with Katherine and *****’s kids receiving $10 billion each. Family members would divide Katherine’s haul, while the kids’ money would go into a trust.

Jackie, 62, Tito, 59, Marlon, 56, and Latoya, 57, have not attended the meetings and are believed to be uninterested in what some deride as “blood money.”

The family alleges AEG was negligent in hiring *****’s death doctor, ConradMurray, for the singer’s “This is It” comeback tour in 2009. Murray, who administered a fatal dose of the potent drug propofol to *****, is serving a four-year prison term for manslaughter.

Last week, an accountant testified ***** would have easily earned up to $1.5 billion had he lived, testimony that further boosted the family’s conviction they will hit the jackpot.

“I’m not sure [the family] sees it as counting their chickens before they are hatched,” a family member told The Post. “Anyone who has followed this trial can easily see AEG is liable. So, it stands to reason that the $1.5 billion . . . would be a starting point.

“The punitive damages are going to be billions more because, this is Michael. They killed the King of Pop,” the source said.

“Jermaine and Randy have the most ambitious plans, no doubt about it.”

Jermaine, who changed his surname earlier this year to “Jacksun,” wants to buy out the popular Ferrari World, a 2.1 million-square-foot theme park on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island.

“Money talks, and you know what else walks,” Jermaine told a family member.

Randy, the clan’s youngest, has designs on restoring Michael’s Neverland estate., creating a music school at the desolate Santa Barbara County ranch, and bringing back the menagerie, including Bubbles, *****’s famous chimp chum.

“Randy plans to use his share of the money to fight the estate because he’s always been serious about what he feels are Michael’s wishes and Randy still believes unequivocally that Michael’s will is a fake and [executors] John Branca and John McClain should not be in charge,” another family source said.

Rebbie, whose husband died earlier this year, is said to simply want to purchase a condominium in Southern California and do some traveling.

“Rebbie needs to hit the re-set button,” the source said.

Despite a regular monthly allowance topping $30,000 from her son’s estate, Katherine is seeking her own cash to leave behind for her children and grandchildren, sources told The Post.

“She wants the other children to know that she fought for their well-being,” the source said.
Questions persist on whether the family can handle the windfall.

The Gloved One and his siblings made $40 million during the 1984 Victory tour, a sum that was supposed give Michael freedom from family leeches. Each brother was paid $8 million.

“Maybe the money they’ll make from this will set them up comfortably. Then, I’m out of it,” ***** said at the time.

But that plan unraveled as the brothers purchased luxury autos and homes; lavished expensive gifts on multiple wives, mistresses and baby mamas; and made poor investments.

Jermaine married three times – not including an unrecognized wedding in 1999 inside an Encino mosque. He has 9 children. He eventually declared bankruptcy.

Randy married twice and has three children. Randy and Jermaine also took turns fathering children with the same woman, fashion designer Alejandra Oaziaza, who successfully sued both brothers for child and spousal support.
Jackie, also married twice, famously was injured after a spat with his first wife, Enid Jackson, over an alleged affair with Paula Abdul, who was the Victory tour’s choreographer and eventually became a judge on American Idol.
The fight led to a motorcycle accident that resulted in the singer breaking his leg, forcing him to miss most of the 1984 tour.

The poorly managed apartments fell into disrepair, tenants stopped paying rent, and the complex was sold at auction to pay taxes and liens.

“That should have set us up for a long time,” Jermaine once said. “Things just didn’t work out and we let it go,” he said.

In 1994, New Jersey businessman Henry Vaccarro won a $1.4 million judgment against the family.
In 1995, Jermaine declared bankruptcy, listing about $5 million in debt for state and federal tax liens.
By 1997, the family, excluding Michael, Janet and Latoya, filed for Chapter 11 protection, listing debts totaling $50 million.
In 1999, Katherine and Joseph Jackson jointly filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Their debts included $35,000 owed on a Mercedes, $60,000 on a Land Rover, and civil judgments of more than $22 million.
$32,000 owed to the California Franchise Tax Board, and $118,000 to the IRS.
In 2001, Randy pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud because he admittedly failed to list a sport utility vehicle in a previous 1996 bankruptcy filing.

“Everyone is saying this time is going to be different because they know that once this money comes in from AEG, this is really it,” the source said. “There are no more tours and there is no longer Michael.”

LMAO That sounds indeed like the BS Randy is claiming whenever being asked - however in reality Michael's 2002 will CANNOT be contested by anyone (and NEVER could be by Randy himself anyway).

How can you restore something you don't have rights to?

Re: Open General discussion - Katherine Jackson vs AEG

Yeah, as soon as I saw that article the name Stacy Brown came into mind. When one has a family friend like that, it is best to cut him out of the friendship. I see he is rehashing claims made months before about meetings, etc. I guess he has to be paid.

Randy got these two words for you KEEP DREAMING!

This is the second article about family meeting how to spend money that they think getting, Friedman had a similar out in April.

“Jermaine and Randy have the most ambitious plans, no doubt about it.”

I'm sure about it. They are most likely the ones behind this lawsuit, so I can well believe they are going ahead of their time.
Those two losers are always looking for someone else to pay their "grand" plans or whatever they might come up with

"In 1999, Katherine and Joseph Jackson jointly filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Their debts included $35,000 owed on a Mercedes, $60,000 on a Land Rover, and civil judgments of more than $22 million."

I quite don't understand that they owned money for two cars when she testified that MJ gave her cars?
Panish: Did he give you gifts?
Mrs Jackson: All the time. He gave me everything, the necessities of life, gifts, cars, jewelry, mobile homes

The family who doesn't do much, managaned to "earn" nearly $80 million in debt.
No wonder they were hell bent over MJ Will. With his money, they could have wiped out their debt and buy some more flashy cars and stuff.

DEBBIE ROWE
To Testify About
MJ's Shocking Drug Use

EXCLUSIVE

Debbie Rowe will testify in the Michael Jackson wrongful death case that MJ was a SECRET, hardcore drug addict for decades -- testimony that could severely damage the Jackson's case.

Sources connected with the trial tell TMZ ... Rowe will be called by AEG Live Tuesday or Wednesday ... and she'll testify that in the '80s and '90s ... she knew Michael was abusing some prescription meds, but had no idea his habit was so out of control.

We're told Rowe will point the finger at her former boss, MJ's go-to doc, Arnie Klein. Rowe will testify she learned after the fact that Klein had a standing order ... when Michael came to the office he should be injected with Demerol and Vistaril (which makes the Demerol stronger).

Rowe will say Michael kept the extent of his drug abuse a secret from her -- something that will clearly help AEG, because the company is arguing it had no reason to know Michael was a drug abuser.

Rowe will say she saw Michael on TMZ coming out of Klein's office days before he died -- looking totally out of it. We're told she will say she called Klein after Michael died and said, "What the f**k did you give him? He's dead and it's your fault." She then hung up on him.

Rowe's testimony will further help AEG because she'll say she had no idea Michael was secretly going to surgical offices specifically for the purpose of getting high and going to sleep.

She'll also say she's the only person in Michael's world who could control him -- that she's the only one (including Michael's family) who would say "NO."

The testimony could be critical. If the jury believes Michael could hide his hardcore drug use, AEG would have no reason to sound an alarm or take preventative action.

It's TMZ so I will take it with a grain of salt. As of now. But then we know Debbie tweeted recently TMZ is credible and that Harvey Levin is her long time friend. How would Levin otherwise have knowledge about what Debbie WILL testify? Let's wait and see the actual testimony, but if it's true then it will only make me lose even more respect to Debbie. 1) For once again feeding the tabloid media, telling TMZ in advance what she would testify. 2) I have a big problem with people in Michael's life who like to shade everyone else around him while they themselves try to act like they were the only good people in his life. Re. Debbie allegedly saying she was the only one who would say no to him. Didn't other people tell how Debbie administered Propofol to him as far back as the HIStory tour? Sorry, but if she did that no one can tell me that she thought it was all normal.

But let's wait and see the actual testimony. As per her twitter the part about her testifying seems true:

Michael Jackson’s Doctor Says Katherine Jackson Knew About His Prescription Drug Addiction

Jurors in Katherine Jackson‘s wrongful death lawsuit against AEG, contending the concert promoter is responsible for the death of her son, Michael Jackson, heard testimony from one of the King of Pop’s doctors who contradicted testimony that the Jackson family matriarch gave in which she revealed she was unaware of the singer’s prescription drug addiction, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

Dr. Alimorad Faschian revealed in a video deposition that in 2002 he had implanted a device into Jackson, after the birth of his son, Blanket, to block the euphoric effect of his drug choice at the time, Demerol.

The video deposition, was obtained by KABC TV and Dr. Faschian said, “Blanket was just born and that was why he wanted to, what he phrased, ‘a monkey on his back,’ he wanted to just not deal with it anymore.”

According to similar testimony by Faschian, who took the witness stand on Thursday, Katherine was asked about Michael’s detox and even inspected the incision where the device had been implanted.

“I think she (Katherine Jackson) wanted to know all about it, what was going on,” Faschian said during his deposition last summer, referring to Michael’s detox.

“I remember that was in Neverland. Michael did show the implant to his mother. Just his mother was there. She was very happy.”

As Radar previously reported, during cross examination, Katherine told jurors she was unaware that Michael’s Dangerous tour in 1993 had been cut short and that Elizabeth Taylor had flown to Mexico City to take the Thriller singer to a rehab program in London.

When asked what Katherine knew about Taylor’s bid to get her son into rehab, she replied she had heard about it, but “wasn’t curious about it.”

“Nobody came to me and said anything about it,” Jackson, 83, told attorney Marvin Putnam. “My children probably didn’t want me to worry.”

She admitted that she and several of her children attempted to stage an intervention in 2002 at Michael’s Neverland ranch, but it turned into a social visit.

AEG plans on calling Katherine back to the stand during their defense. Testimony in the case is expected to last until September.

Revealed: Concert Promoter AEG Considering Call To DA Who Landed Conviction Against Michael Jackson’s Death Doc

Lawyers for AEG are considering calling one of the district attorneys that successfully prosecuted Conrad Murray as possible witnesses in the wrongful death trial of Michael Jackson, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Katherine Jackson is suing the concert promoter alleging that AEG failed to properly investigate and supervise Michael’s one-time doctor, Murray. Murray was convicted two years ago for the involuntary manslaughter death of the King of Pop.

The concert promoter “doesn’t want to put Conrad Murray on the stand for several reasons. First, Murray is a sanctimonious and arrogant, he will make the testimony all about him. He would likely be unwilling to answer the most important questions, and invoke the fifth amendment because he is appealing the conviction,” a source told Radar.

“Secondly, Murray would use the appearance to possibly promote a book/overseas tabloid interview he is planning upon his release from jail.”

The source added, “For those reasons, and more, AEG lawyer, Marvin Putnam, has been in contact with former Los Angeles County District Attorney, David Walgren, who is now a judge, and current prosecutor, Deborah Brazil, whom both handled Murray’s case.

“Both are agreeable to appearing and testifying. AEG needs to present a witness to the jury that can explain Murray’s role in Michael’s death. It’s AEG’s position that no one could have known that Murray was giving Michael a Propofol at night to sleep.”

The decision will be made “in the next several days about if one or both of them (Walgren/Brazil), will be called to testify,” the insider revealed.

“They would both be very compelling witnesses for AEG and the jury would be very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism of the criminal case.”

Michael Jackson’s children thought their dad had died of an overdose eight years before drug addiction killed him, it has been claimed.

Prince and Paris, four and three at the time, were said to be inconsolable when they saw their father laid out cold in 2001.

But quick-thinking bodyguard Michael La Perruque saved the King of Pop by performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation before paramedics arrived to stabilise him.

He said the children were “crying, saying they couldn’t wake up daddy” when they found him in the hallway of their hotel suite at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The revelations emerged at Los Angeles Superior Court, where the star’s mother Katherine Jackson and his children are suing AEG Live for £100million.

They claim the concert promoter *negligently hired and supervised Dr Conrad Murray, who is currently behind bars for the singer’s *involuntary manslaughter.

<figure class="inline-image clearfix portrait" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-style: inherit; font-family: inherit; vertical-align: baseline; position: relative; zoom: 1; height: 760px; width: auto;"><figcaption>
Mr La Perruque, giving evidence for AEG, told the court he believed the collapse was drug-related, but medics claimed there was no evidence of this.

He said Jackson often appeared under the influence of drugs and he feared the star would suffer an overdose.

The security chief said Jackson would call him 20 to 30 times from his hotel room “in the middle of the night”.

He told jurors: “His speech would be very slurred. There would be a lot of mumbling and I wouldn’t be able to comprehend what he was saying. I think he was just lonely and wanted to have somebody to talk to.”

Mr La Perruque said he would sometimes notice empty wine bottles from the hotel room’s minibar, but he never saw drugs.

He also said he never saw Jackson take medication but added: “It was my concern that, yes, he may overdose.” Mr La Perruque explained that he never confronted Jackson about his drug use because he “didn’t want to put him on the defensive”.

He said he feared this would create a barrier between them and added: “I wanted to be able to be close to him, to monitor him, to protect him.”

Jurors were also shown photos of a music video filmed at Universal Studios in 2001, an appearance by the singer at a fundraising event for the Democratic Party in 2002 and an American Bandstand
**Anniversary event that year.

The bodyguard testified that he was with the singer at those events.

Jackson’s cameo appearance in blockbuster Men in Black 2 was also shown in court. Lawyers for the Jackson family said the videos were *significant as AEG’s attorneys argued the singer had not done any significant work since his HIStory Tour in the late 1990s and were trying to portray him as under the influence of drugs.

But images were also shown to the court which further detailed his tragic spiral into dependency on prescription pills.

The shots, released by Los Angeles Police Department this week, showed numerous pill bottles, oxygen tanks and medical supplies littered around the *superstar’s bedroom at the time of his death.

Jackson, 50, was
killed by an *overdose of anaesthetic propofol on June 25, 2009.

</figcaption></figure>

Dr Murray, who worked *for Jackson as he prepared for his planned This Is It shows, prescribed the drug to help the megastar sleep.

Debbie Rowe, the mother of two of *Jackson’s children, is due to give evidence at the trial later this week.

Michael Jackson&#8217;s Immense Debt: He Borrowed Against Everything He Had

08/12/13 9:32pmRoger Friedman0

I published these three stories together in April 2002. Before that I&#8217;d written about Michael Jackson&#8216;s mounting debt. But this column explained a lot of what was going on. It surprised me as much as everyone else. Since then plenty of other journalists have gone back to this material. I&#8217;ve no doubt a book being published next June 2014 will borrow heavily from all this reporting. But here it is, as it was, after &#8220;Invincible&#8221; came out and before Michael got into the mess with the Arvizo family.

From April 19, 2002:
***** Pawned $2 Million Watch to Raise Dough

How dire is Michael Jackson&#8216;s financial situation? Last year he was forced to put up a $2 million diamond watch in order to borrow money from a bank.

This revelation comes at a crucial time in Jackson&#8217;s roller-coaster career. It&#8217;s already been acknowledged that he&#8217;s used the Beatles song catalog to borrow $200 million from Sony Music. At the same time, Jackson is struggling with poor sales of his latest album, Invincible, and Internet rumors that Sony is ignoring the album in order to force Jackson&#8217;s hand in turning over the catalog.

This column reported several weeks ago that Jackson was in constant touch with Richard Rowe, head of Sony Music Publishing, who wants to negotiate a settlement on the loan and take possession of the Beatles catalog. Sony issued a strangely worded denial at the time, saying it did not seek &#8220;to buy&#8221; ATV Music Publishing from Jackson. But, as a Sony business insider confirmed for me, &#8220;foreclose&#8221; would have been the appropriate word since Sony technically already owns the songs.

Now the news that Jackson, who lives on borrowed money, needed to pawn a diamond watch.

Strange but true: On June 14, 2001 &#8212; three days after Jackson played the finished version of Invincible for Sony executives &#8212; he borrowed money from Bank of America. In a financing statement filed with the state of California, Michael used for collateral a &#8220;King Kalla&#8221; watch made by the tony house of Vacheron Constantine. The watch is valued at roughly $1.9 million.

The very same watch was the basis of a lawsuit filed against Jackson 11 months earlier by Beverly Hills jeweler David Orgell. Jackson, Orgell claimed, had taken the watch home with him on approval. When Jackson did not return the watch or calls from Orgell, the jeweler sued him for $1.45 million, plus $15,000 for other items Jackson hadn&#8217;t returned.

Jackson then did return the watch, but in court papers Orgell claimed the watch was a mess.

&#8220;The watch, when it was returned, had lotion on it,&#8221; Orgell spokesman Ali Soltani said in a TV interview at the time. &#8220;The watch was scratched &#8230; had food particles intertwined. This is a gem of a watch, and it was obviously used.&#8221;

On June 13, 2001, Craig Marcus, attorney for Orgell, filed a notice with the court that the case had been settled.

The next day Jackson &#8212; evidently in possession of the watch &#8212; used it as collateral for a loan from the Bank of America. The implication is that Jackson did not have the money for the watch, and immediately needed to replace the money he had to pay Orgell.

Call it the largest pawnshop deal on record. Presumably the watch is sitting in a vault somewhere, ticking away.
Marcus did not return calls. Calls for this story to Jackson&#8217;s manager, Trudy Green, and his attorney, John Branca, were not returned either.

*****&#8217;s Banker: &#8216;I Kept Him Alive&#8217;

Jackson&#8217;s penchant for borrowing money does not stop there. On June 26, 2001, he filed another Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Financing Statement. This time, possibly because his credit was tapped out at conventional banks, he took a loan from an outfit called Royalty Advance Funding of Beverly Hills, Calif. (From their Web site: &#8220;There is no minimum or maximum amount that can be advanced. Any songwriter, publisher, composer, or producer is welcome to take advantage of our music royalty/residual advancement service. No questions asked.&#8221;)

The collateral was his music catalog, which contains hit songs such as &#8220;Billie Jean&#8221; and &#8220;Beat It,&#8221; as well as songs Jackson purchased some time ago written by Sly Stone including classics such as &#8220;Everyday People,&#8221; &#8220;Family Affair&#8221; and others.

Parviz Omidvar, the owner of Royalty Advance Funding, told me: &#8220;He doesn&#8217;t blow the money. He doesn&#8217;t misuse the money. He&#8217;s not a very big spender. If you had the same kind of money he has, you&#8217;d have the same Neverland. He makes a ton of money, that&#8217;s why he has to pay his taxes. For him, he&#8217;s in a different category than you and I.&#8221;

Jackson has used that same catalog, as well as the Beatles catalog, consistently over the last 10 years to raise cash to support his bizarre lifestyle. Some of his expenses (besides staggering legal and accounting fees) include maintenance of a zoo on the Neverland estate; a staff of 120 people; and at least one multimillion-dollar settlement to the family of a boy who claimed Jackson molested him.

The financing statement about the watch turned up in a stack of other filings &#8212; all under the UCC &#8212; that show the King of Pop in constant need of cash. Throughout the 1990s Jackson used his Neverland Valley Ranch near Santa Barbara, Calif., and his own song catalogs to borrow millions of dollars.

These loans, mostly from Bank of America and NationsBank, as well as Sony Music, were separate from loans he took using the Beatles song catalog as collateral. Those loans, still outstanding, are said to be in the $200 million range.

Although it&#8217;s not unusual for wealthy people to use their assets as collateral, it is unusual for them to put up jewelry.

One banker, a senior vice president at the Bank of America who has worked closely on Jackson&#8217;s accounts, told me yesterday: &#8220;I&#8217;ve kept him alive for 20 years. And it&#8217;s not that the advice he gets is bad. It&#8217;s him. He&#8217;s his own worst enemy.&#8221;

N.Y. Real Estate Broker *****&#8217;s New Pal

But right now Jackson is depending on the advice of James Meiskin, owner of Plymouth Partners, a New York commercial real estate broker. Meiskin, who was formerly married to Jerry Seinfeld&#8216;s sister-in-law Rebecca Sklar and is a dead ringer for the comedian, met Jackson in November 2000 at the home of public relations guru Howard Rubenstein when Jackson was introducing his new charity with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. I know this because I met him there. Meiskin subsequently joined the board of the charity.

When I called him last week to ask about his involvement with Jackson, Meiskin rudely told me he knew nothing about the charity or anything about Jackson. When I mentioned that he had introduced himself to me at Jackson and Boteach&#8217;s Carnegie Hall charity fundraiser in 2001 &#8212; and that the money from the event had never gone to charity &#8212; Meiskin said, &#8220;I don&#8217;t know what that is.&#8221; And hung up.

But sources tell me that Meiskin has approached money people in New York, asking for names of people he might introduce Jackson to as a way of raising cash.

The pattern of Jackson&#8217;s borrowing may be cause for alarm &#8212; and reason to think he&#8217;s been getting if not bad advice over the years, then he is not as smart as he was once portrayed.

Jackson borrowed money using Neverland as collateral in late 1997. When that loan terminated, he again used his famous ranch to raise cash in October 1999. According to statistics on file in California, Neverland occupies a little over 2,500 acres. It&#8217;s assessed at $12 million with another $9 million in listed improvements. But a local realtor in Los Olivos told me the property could be worth as much as $30 million by now &#8220;if the right buyer came along.&#8221;

The total land value of Neverland is assessed at about $2 million.

Jackson&#8217;s banker said of the Neverland loans: &#8220;DO you have a mortgage? Well, that&#8217;s his mortgage.&#8221;

***** Borrows Against Everything He Owns

But it&#8217;s the song catalogs that keep Jackson going. They seem to be his only currency.

In August 1994 &#8212; five months after Time magazine reported Jackson had paid a multimillion-dollar settlement after a 14-year-old boy claimed he had molested him &#8212; the King of Pop signed loan papers with Sony Music in which he used his catalog of songs to secure a loan.

But apparently that loan didn&#8217;t solve Michael&#8217;s problems. In 1995, Jackson used the same catalog to borrow money from NationsBank (now Bank of America). In a separate filing with NationsBank that year, he also put up the Beatles catalog. In 1996 he again put up the MIJAC songs &#8212; including &#8220;We Are the World,&#8221; the proceeds of which were supposed to go to charity.

In 1997, Neverland was used as collateral with NationsBank, while Michael borrowed money from Sony using proceeds from his deal with a Saudi prince who promised to build theme parks with him. He also borrowed money from Sony in 1997 against the MIJAC catalog. What was happening was obvious &#8212; a shell game in which Jackson kept using his copyrights as assets against which he was constantly securing cash. As one deal expired, a new one would take its place.

In October 1999, a day after Jackson took out a new loan on Neverland, for example, he borrowed more money from Bank of America using his song catalogs. The former application was made in Jackson&#8217;s name; the latter was done under &#8220;MJ Publishing Trust.&#8221;

Bank of America and Royalty Funding are not Jackson&#8217;s only sources for getting loans. Sony Music has also been there for Jackson. A check of UCC&#8217;s filed by Sony in California show that this sort of dealing is unusual for the music company. The only other artist&#8217;s name that turns up with regularity is Luther Vandross.

According to filings, Jackson also borrowed money from Sony Music on Sept. 22, 1997, in a separate filing. In that loan, he used any money due him from a deal he&#8217;d made with Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal to start a number of business ventures. None of those businesses &#8212; including theme parks and restaurants, TV programming and films &#8212; panned out.

&#8220;You realize that by taking the loans from Sony, Michael was getting advances without having to pay taxes,&#8221; says one source knowledgeable about Jackson&#8217;s affairs. &#8220;Eventually, when the loans are called, taxes will have to be paid.&#8221;

The same could be said of Jackson&#8217;s outstanding loan from Sony concerning the Beatles. However, a Sony insider told me recently that the company is not interested in recouping the principal of the $200 million loan. &#8220;They just want the interest and the Beatles songs,&#8221; he said.

But now rumors have surfaced &#8212; in what seems to be an organized Internet campaign &#8212; that Sony purposely backed away from Jackson&#8217;s Invincible album when the singer refused to renegotiate his loan. This very column wrote something similar several months ago.

I said then that it was odd that Sony had refused to release any commercial singles from Invincible, and also refused to release Jackson&#8217;s planned charity single, &#8220;What More Can I Give?&#8221; Even though Invincible wasn&#8217;t the greatest album in the world, it had potential hits in &#8220;Cry&#8221; and &#8220;Butterflies.&#8221; In neither case did the record company make an effort to promote them. For all intents and purposes, Invincible, with domestic sales of around 2 million copies, is now dead.

Re: [Tabloids] designated Thread for tabloid articles/discussions related to the Kat vs AEG Trial

Debbie is testifying today wednesday:

DEBBIE ROWE TO TESTIFY
MJ ABUSED PROPOFOL
12 Years Before Death

"Michael Jackson was not only addicted to powerful drugs 12 years before he died ... at least twice in the late 90s doctors misused a drug similar to Propofol so MJ could sleep through the night ... and we've learned that's exactly what MJ's former wife Debbie Rowe will tell the jury today.

Sources familiar with Debbie Rowe's testimony tell TMZ ... Rowe -- who will be called to the stand by AEG Live -- views herself as a hostile witness, because she feels AEG is largely responsible for MJ's death.

We've learned Rowe will testify ... in 1997 doctors administered Diprivan (a form of Propofol) to Michael in a Munich, Germany hotel room. We're told Rowe will say the drug was administered specifically so Michael could sleep. There was a full medical staff present and MJ slept under the influence of the drug for 8 hours. This occurred on 2 days, either consecutive or 1 day apart.

The testimony is significant because AEG is trying to show MJ was the master of his own fate and had misused Propofol for years.

But we've learned Rowe will also say while she was married to MJ she never saw him as a raging drug addict. She will testify he was addicted to Demerol ... which he used to deal with the pain and anxiety from scalp surgeries after being horribly burned. She says when she left Michael in July, 1997, he was not an out-of-control addict. In fact, he had gone to rehab and was open about it.

As TMZ first reported, Rowe injected Michael in the buttocks with Demerol and Vistaril several times while she worked for Dr. Arnold Klein -- MJ's closest doctor and confidante. Rowe had no idea in the last months of MJ's life Klein injected the singer with Demerol scores of times.

We've learned if asked ... Rowe will say she was horrified when she saw a TMZ video of Michael looking totally out of it as he left Dr. Klein's office days before he died. The day MJ passed, Rowe will testify she called Klein and said, "You killed him. What did you give him?"

We're told Rowe wants to tell the jury ... when the "This Is It" tour was announced and she heard the breakneck concert schedule, she told her shrink, "They're [AEG] gonna kill him."

Reputable?? The guy was slimy as a slug. Just read this, and it's true. His nurses testified to these facts. What he did, no reputable doctor would do.

Star surgeon 'mocked patients'

Sylvester Stallone: Is mentioned in the allegations about Dr Hoefflin

A Hollywood plastic surgeon is alleged to have crudely mocked celebrity patients - including Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor - while they were under anesthetic.

Dr Steven Hoefflin is accused of fondling and photographing his patients while they were on the operating table and of cocaine use and tax fraud.

The allegations about the doctor are contained in papers deposited with a Los Angeles court. They relate to the testimony of four of his former assistants, which was taken as part of an investigation by the California Medical Board into the doctor.

The four assistants had originally sued the doctor for sexual harrassment, but settled out of court.

Michael Jackson: Was allegedly tricked into paying for non-existent surgery
Dr Hoefflin, 52, is a celebrity in his own right in Hollywood, with a string of big-name clients. He was a consultant on the film Doc Hollywood, starring Michael J Fox.

It is alleged Sylvester Stallone walked into the surgery when Dr Hoefflin was operating on his then girlfriend, Angie Everhart, and demanded she be given bigger breasts. He is said to have told the doctor he wanted them to be "big but perky, kinda like a 17-year-old", and the doctor complied against Everhart's wishes.

In papers lodged with Los Angeles Superior Court, former operating room co-ordinator Barbara Maywood alleges Michael Jackson - one of the doctor's best customers - was tricked into paying for surgery which didn't take place.

She testified: "On multiple occasions Mr Jackson would be anaesthetised and the clocks in the operating room would be turned ahead by hours. Mr Jackson would then be revived, look around the room, and settle back to sleep, at which time the clocks would be reset to reflect the correct time.

"This scheme gave Mr Jackson the perception that he had just undergone a nasal surgery of several hours, when in fact he was only unconscious for several minutes."

Ms Maywood also said Dr Hoefflin examined the singer's genitals on another occasion - when he was supposed to be operating on his face.

Elizabeth Taylor: Hoffman is said to have insulted her
She also alleged Dr Hoefflin sneered at 66-year-old screen legend Elizabeth Taylor - then married to Larry Fortensky, 20 years her junior - while he was operating on her. He is said to have commented: "What's a young guy doing with this old stuff?" She said he had stripped her naked - even though she was in for facial surgery.

Actor Don Johnson - then married to Bonfire of the Vanities star Melanie Griffith - came in for the same treatment, it is alleged. After having surgery on his eyelid and liposuction on his abdomen, Dr Hoefflin is said to have looked at his genitals and said: "Why would a beauty like Melanie Griffith settle for that?"

Ms Maywood said of Sylvester Stallone that he entered the operating theatre while Angie Everhart was under anaesthetic, and was ushered out for "not wearing proper surgical attire".

She said Ms Everhart - who starred in Another 9 ½ Weeks with Mickey Rourke - has insisted she wanted a small breast size as she "needed to maintain the lithe appearance that accounted for her success".

But Stallone allegedly returned to the theatre to tell Dr Hoefflin to make her breasts bigger. Ms Everhart had a difficult recovery from the surgery, and four months later it was reversed. The couple later split.

Assistant Kim Moore-Mestas backed Ms Maywood's allegations - adding Dr Hoefflin would mislead patients into believing he would be carrying out all surgeries when junior assistants performed the operations.

Another assistant, Lydia Benjamin, said Dr Hoefflin would offer cash discounts to patients to avoid paying tax.

He is also alleged to have encouraged receptionist Donna Burton to have surgery so she could show off the results to customers.

She said: "I was used by Dr Hoefflin as a flesh and blood example of the female form. He required me to disrobe before potential breast implant patients and on multiple occasions their male companions. It was dehumanising and humiliating."

Dr Hoefflin has called the accusations "slanderous and inaccurate, to the point of being disgusting," and claims the allegations were invented by two former partners who were bitter about being sacked.

He is nuts. He insulted Elizabeth Taylor terribly. He also exposed Michael while he was under, examined his genitalia and made a comment to the nurses that it was a real shame he never used it.

What kind of doctor does that? A crook, that's who!

Here is a newspaper article from a while back on it.

Hoefflin was always on the "Best Doctors" list and highly sought after for decades in LA--that I know for sure. He had a stellar reputation. He was highly respected at one time, but if these allegations are true, it's despicable behavior for a medical doctor.

I have no good words for this doctor. However, as far as I recall, those were false allegations. From Wiki:

Hoefflin has asserted that the charges were made by two doctors who were renting office space at his Santa Monica, California office &#8212; Dr. James Hurvitz - and Dr. Wallace Goodstein whom Hoefflin claimed were addicted to prescription drugs.[3][5] Hoefflin filed a lawsuit for $20 million against the two doctors for defamation. According to Hoefflin, in August 2001, the four former employees who originally made the allegations issued apology letters to Hoefflin and paid a cash settlement.

I believe that before calling someone a pervert, it is reasonable first check the information.

I don't think that Wiki article is accurate. I know that after that settlement, a judge tried to force those nurses to testify. But they would not cooperate. I believe he bought their silence. http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/gossip/knives-star-surgeon-article-1.782647

Yes, thruthful in that there were allegations. However, I do believe that this is dangerous approach to give only negative information without further details. Those allegations, as far as I know, were never proved in court. Sounds familiar?

True

Then again hasnt wiki been to sometimes make things up sometimes

Agreed. I know what you are saying. None of us really know what was going on in those operating rooms. But Debbie Rowe sure isn't a fan of his either, as she proved today.

I will continue to maintain suspicion about Hoefflin, because I don't believe he had Michael's best interests at heart.

Again, double standard. Situation "it was settled, and the accuser refused to co-operate - hence, the accused was guilty and bought the silence" also sounds too familiar to me. Anyway, I apologize for going off-topic.

The think is talent & skill does not always mean good character. All Michel doctors had talent in their respective fields. Klien was sought after too & he was a brilliant doc, but look at what he did.

Justnat Maybe some of them may be false, but those about Michael we know are true. He settled with the nurse, who I saw on tv, although she could not say much because she was given money in the settlement and could not discuss the case.

That wiki thing is not a reputable source of most things.

I know I had seen a YouTube video a while back with that nurse on it. I wish I could find that now.
