Dr. Conrad Murray Writing Tell All Book While In Jail!

murray was michael 's dr. so they had a dr. patient relationship . it is against the law for any dr. to discuss or make money off his or her patient. i hope he can be sued for the documentary he made. michael's childrens should be able to sue on grounds of emotional distress. just my opinion.

"Dr. Murray spends most of his days writing what he is telling friends will be a tell-all book about what really happened in the final days of Michael Jackson's life," a source close to the situation tells Radar."

I hate when they still call him Dr:angry:

What he is going to tell is his version what happened. I saw his document, his claims in it were out right lies , and mostly he tried to portray himself as Michael saviour. :puke:

"Dr. Murray just isn't an empathetic person"
No he isn't even he likes to think and act that he is empathetic, but his true self comes though any mask.

"Conrad says that Michael confided his inner-most secrets about his true feelings about his family"
It's not hard to guess what Michael might have said about his family.

Ivy, do you know if Cal. Evidence Code 993 applies in this case, or it there anything that can be done to stop Murray talking about what Michael said to him during their dr/patient relationship? Or is it that he cannot say anything about MJ's health, but he can say what ever he likes about what they talked?

Even if it is against the law you dont see anything happ to klien or others who talked about mj like that. whos gonna make a complaint? the jacksons? Ha ha.

someone will pay him if not for a book for interviews etc.there are always those in the media that will facilitate him in their obsession with mj

This is the Jacksons fault. He will find someone to publish this. The whole thing makes me sick.

and now its the jacksons fault!?!

everything that is bad... "hey its the jacksons fault!"

the jacksons turned down restitution which would stop murray from making money off his crime and therefore it would be pointless for him to write a book. anyone who hurts michael and his kids deserves to be what u called hated on

thats not michael jackson's 'priorities of course', to hate someone. the michael jackson 'priorities of course' is ... even someone doing bad to you, dont hate him.

There's no law that would stop him from writing a book and / or profiting from his crime. The restitution could have stopped it without it he's free to do it.

Estate also cannot stop books - unless there's a copyright infringement or perhaps something that breaks doctor - patient confidentiality.

If the fans make noise or if publishers think there's no interest, he won't be able to publish it. But with Kindle , Nook etc, it's quite possible for him to self-publish an e-book.

I don't hate the Jacksons but they had the opportunity to prevent this from happening by getting restitution from Murray. Even the prosecutors in the case wanted that. If Murray had to pay the Jacksons he would think twice about doing these things because he would have to give them the money.

Also people shouldn't make assumptions of how others think or feel. Disagreeing with people's actions doesn't automatically equal you hate them. I have very strong feelings that Murray should NOT make any money off of killing Michael. That's what he will do when he gets out. How is that good for Michael and his kids? His family could have taken measures to stop that but they chose not to because they are counting on winning big with their case against AEG.

If people agree wth them dropping the restitution fine for you but for me I don't agree. My opinion. I dread the day hearing Murray's book deal coming out or his first interview from jail. He doesn't even feel bad at all for what he did to Michael.

The Jacksons, Katherine, in particular allowed this to happen. On one hand she was complaining saying '4 years is not enough for taking her son's life', then on the other hand she will allow Murray to make money off of killing him by not going for restitution. Hell she could've got restitution from Murray and still sued AEG. Restitution was free because Murray was convicted and both the judge and the prosecutor wanted Murray to pay. In fact they were in a hurry to make him pay restitution, yet Katherine refused. Katherine heard what that arrogant fool did to her son yet she refused restitution and she also heard Judge Pastor's closing at the sentencing hearing about Murray's lack of responsibility and lack of culpability and how it sickened him yet Katherine refused. All she is concerned about is AEG's pockets which she won't get any of because she will lose that case

"One publisher said that even if Murray were to take full responsibility for the death of Michael Jackson there was no interest. Dr. Murray just isn't an empathetic person and the public doesn't want to hear from him, period," the source says."

That is true, thus far he does come off as unanimously unsympathetic. Even among people who are not MJ fans. The greater part of those in the medical profession are thoroughly appalled by his gross negligence and criminal actions, and almost everyone thinks he belongs in jail, even people who think Michael was partly responsible for what happened. The reason for this is because, obviously, no one wants this to happen to them/their loved ones, and everyone trusts in a doctor at some point in his life, so when evidence arises that a doctor purposely and deliberately betrayed a patient's trust by failing to act in his best interest as per the Hippocratic oath, people are disturbed.

People with at least two brain cells to rub together [that automatically excludes hater trolls, as they clearly have none] can see he's not at all worthy of sympathy, and is most likely a sociopath, since the majority of his woes/complains revolve around him and the way he's feeling. Not a peep regarding how Michael's children may be coping, or even how his own girlfriend and child may be doing. All we've heard from him is that the has the runs.

He's completely failed to present himself in any way that could be construed as favourable, and his lawyers have failed to market him thus as well--the documentary Chernoff and Flanny decided to partake in [Baldy makes up for his lack of luscious hair by not being a complete idiot, it seems, so he steered clear] made complete asses out of everyone involved, but unarguably, Murray took the biggest PR hit of them all (and deservedly so).

I think public stance is we've heard enough from him and nobody really cares anymore. He also loses a huge percentage of the market by not appealing to MJ fans, whom we have seen hold great value when it comes to making or breaking a potential sales success. Seeing the fiasco MSNBC endured when they allied themselves with him is also most likely the reason most publishing companies have turned him down, if what this article claims is true. MSNBC was greatly hit by backlash, some fans boycott them to this day, and nobody wants to risk that just for some maybe/quick/cheap profit from giving Murray a platform upon which to speak. The repercussions far outweigh the potential gain, and any smart company would abstain from taking such a risk..

The fact they're still trying to appeal this case is not surprising. He has a right to do that, although it will most likely not be a successful attempt. His negligence is as clear as morning, and no one outside of lawyers looking to suck out the last bit of publicity they can get from a high-profile case like this would ever even support him--especially not in the medical community, after witnessing Dr. White's career suicide and subsequent humiliation in court.

The tickling bit is the fact that ugly cow Valerie Wass wants to have the same bloody propofol bottle that has been rejected a million times prior to this tested with the Supreme Court's permission--a request that will likely prove to be a giant waste of time for all involved, and will most likely be rejected (again). Honestly, by the time they're done with all these appeal attempts, Murray will come out of prison nice and stretched from the terrible chronic diarrhea, among other things.

I honestly think none of his lawyers care about him at all. All their decisions seem to backfire on him, in the end, and they give him the sh-ttiest advice ever. I think they're just hanging onto him like vultures to a carcass, simply to keep their names in the headlines. Well, the only one I think really cared at one point was Chernoff. But Flanny doesn't seem capable of things like feelings. :3 That seems to be supported by the fact Chernoff saved Murray's unworthy arse from taking the stance, which Flanny really wanted him to do. Sure, it would have been huge news, but it would have gone terribly for Murray, especially if he was up against Walgren.

P.S. I also think we're forgetting the majority of people [especially Americans, the likeliest target audience for these kind of things] don't read books. If they couldn't be bothered to watch an hour-length documentary on a local TV station back when the trial was relevant to the public at large [and not just MJ fans/haters, and/or luscious-haired lawyer aficionados], they surely won't be bothered to pick up a book and, god forbid, read it.

So on that front I think we've got nothing to worry about. If Murray thinks he can jump back from being flat broke by selling books, he must not be keeping up with the current statistics regarding the amount of people who regularly read books... Although, fiction is the second largest selling genre, right behind delirious religious crap, so he may have a chance just yet.

Exactly, and when OJ wrote a book ("If I did it"), the Goldman family were able to get the rights of the book... Since OJ didn't pay them, ad so owed them money, they asked for the rights of the book, and got them.

That would have been a great way to shut Murray up

The big difference is that the Goldman family really cared & loved their son, so they decided to make OJ life miserable. They went for everything they could, and even though they lost their son, they won the rights of the book. Is not a consolation but it's a way to tell OJ I'll be after you for what you did to our son. The Jacksons, on the other hand, don't have the same way of thinking or feelings. They went after the bigger fish and let the little guilty one free to make money out of the life of their relative. Two families with different views & feelings about the person who killed their sons. One out of love persecutes the murderer and the other out of greed let the murderer be free to make money out of their dead son.

Exactly! and Murray was actually convicted in a criminal trial, so restitution was a given. Katherine would've been able to collect that in addition to still suing AEG. She could've blamed both Murray and AEG for killing MJ. I really don't understand her reasoning for allowing Murray to basically go free after listening to what he did to her son in that courtroom

I assume he left Michael alone other nights too and Michael probably had no idea about it. I will never forget I think Dr. Schaffer (the nice one) said how if Murray was there watching him like he was supposed to and saw Michael in trouble all he had to tilt his head up or something like that. Just thinking about it makes me cry still. I don't understand sometimes how people like Murray are allowed to write books and such. 4 years never enough.

Jaydom, probably she knew Conrad was broke & decided to go after AEG, where the money is but she didn't think AEG would fight back. To them, if Conrad didn't have any money then he was useless. Now there's the possibility of Conrad writting a book & making some bucks. I believe he would shift the blame on to Michael & will trash the Jackson family and of course, he will be the saint, the good friend who tried to help Michael.

Michael should've recorded that incompetent fool to make sure he was doing what he was supposed to. Michael was way too trusting and it cost him his life. It's so sad that Murray wanted $150,000 per month and he wasn't even watching MJ

This is what I’ve been afraid of from the moment I heard the Jackson family had betrayed MJ yet again and allowed Murray to do what he always planned which is freely slander Michael’s name for a living. We need to organize and come up with creative strategies to combat this filthy animal. I hope all of Michael’s fan groups will come together in mass numbers like never before and I hope MJ’s estate will help us shut Murray down. We have to fight harder than ever before to stop this evil from happening. It’s like Murray is murdering him all over again and he will find a publisher. I can see him now spewing garbage on Dr. Drew’s show and getting sympathy from that quack for his heinous deeds.

exactly. those with no defence for what has gone on always play the hate card instead of actually debating the issue with facts to support their defence of the family

She could have gone to that route, but they took tactical route and made sure if the win the case against AEG, they get tons of money.
Michael MCParland (Barrister, California Attorney and Legal commentator) commented on his twitter about the reasons:
Michael McParland ?@MMcParland
The Jackson family's decision to drop their $100 million restitution claim vs Conrad Murray is a tactical one.Same claims as in civil cases.

Michael McParland ?@MMcParland
@ShortsLovesMJJ Prevents AEG in particular claiming they've already been compensated by it. Prevents a res judicata about scale of losses.

That's the reason, more money.
They could have asked some millions from Murray and some millions from AEG, but as M McParland said, it was tactical decision.
They wanted to make sure they get money from AEG, plain and simple. Katherine's lawyers may have explained how things work if they take money from Murray, but did they explained to her what will happen if they don't?
It is easy for her to sit in her Calabas home and be blissfully ignorant for what is going on outside of her home.
The ones that suffer from her decision, are MJ's kids, Michael's memory and us, but why would she care, she is ignorant.

I'm sure the cubs are already working out how they can get some money into their pockets from this book if it happens...

Btw I am so sick of some fans saying that other fans can't hate people because "Michael didn't hate anyone", but I find it VERY hard to believe that, even though he was a forgiving person, that he didn't feel hate for people such as Sneddon and Allred. He was a human being and some people and their actions CANNOT be forgiven. I've heard way to many excusing the actions of some of the people who were hardest on Michael, and using the "he was forgiving" line to justify them turning their back on him.

I thought that that $100 million restitution was asked by and then dropped by MJ's Estate. How can MJ's family decide on that?

Thank you Jacksons...I am sure you are all proud to put this in your long list of failures.

RIP Michael.

She's not ignorant she knows full well what Murray did to her son and the recordings he planned to blackmail Michael with. She knows about the mocumentary he made and she knew he would write a book and run to the tabloids as soon as he got out of jail. Let's face the cold hard truth here. Protecting Michael has never been Katherine Jackson's priority when money is involved. When Joe was terrorizing and beating him like a slave she didn't care and letting his murderer off the hook shows she still doesn't care. Not at all!

I thought that that $100 million restitution was asked by and then dropped by MJ's Estate. How can MJ's family decide on that?

The Estate? No!!! The fault for allowing Murray the Murderer off the hook rest completely on the back of Mrs. Katherine Jackson and her broke, greedy cubs. The Estate of Michael J. Jackson had not one darn thing to do with what the JACKSON clan did to Michael in this case.

So the restitution always go to the family of the deceased?

Because I remember watching the trial, lawyers from the Estate calculated that MJ would have earned at least $100 million from This Is It concerts. From that number came the asked restitution.
