Actually it was Taryll Jackson who said "Frank betrayed his uncle" during the Cascio song release last year. Jermaine also tweeted similar things. During that time when asked about betrayal and what did Taryll (and later Jermaine) meant Karen Faye had said it was about the 2005 trial and that Michael and Frank made up in the later years.

Frank mentioned in his book that Michael told him that someone told him that Frank wasn't willing to testify but never told him who told that. Frank to this day doesn't know who that someone is.

I think the explanation is just for the correction of ongoing misconception of some Jacksons and fans that Frank might have betrayed Michael.

Ok, so I was right in thinking this doesn't reveal anything more about that conversation Frank wrote about? Or better said who told Michael that?
Because I thought that was the reason for the explanation from Thomas Mesereau. Still good to read about that part of the trial though.

He himself confirmed that Michael had a problem with him at some point though so are the Jacksons and some fans really wrong about that then?
Obviously the only one who could clear all of this up would be Michael so I guess we'll never really know what the issue really was. (besides what Frank has shared)

Yes, we would always know the partial story. However, it's obvious that both Taryll and Karen Faye are talking about the betrayal during 05 trial. For that matter, I think T-Mez already gave his side of story to back up what Frank said. I don't know whether Ivy picked one of my question regarding the betrayal issue with Taj's Q&A. One of the question I wanted to ask is they kept calling Frank betrayed MJ. What did Frank actually do to betray MJ? Did MJ mentioned any of that to 3T so they kept claiming that? or they were just talking about the 05 trial things.

He himself can set up one concert special the way he has in the past and there is a new pocket full of change for him.. OR if he really wanted to make money off of Michael don't you think he could sell basically ANYTHING he owns tha Michael has used, touched, gave to him, wrote to him (anything) sell it for millions and BAM he is richer than he has ever been and much richer than proceeds from 10 books


He's allready much richer and has much higher money making opportunities than needing to write a book that will give him compared to what he is used to "some extra cash"

Exactly. He could had gone sold these same stories to the Daily Mail or the Sun and he most likely would had been paid more than the upfront payment of this book. It definitely would had been quicker since it took several months for this book to come out and it isn't even out everywhere yet.

Think of it like this. Toya went from being nearly bankrupt in 2009 to eating caviar first class by selling stories of Michael and his children to the Tabs.

In fairness, I can understand why this happened. Because of all the BS surrounding Michael since his passing, fans have become justifiably skeptical, dismissive, and judgemental of anyone who claims to know the 'truth' about Michael. It doesn't help that his own family had sold him out, including his own mother, to some extent. You also have old 'friends' like Q, Klien, and Lester calling Michael all sorts of names and playing baby's daddy.

Frank also didn't help himself because he can't explain himself well in interviews.

Imo writing a book is pretty much the same thing as the media will take a look at the book find whatever juicy bit is in the book, spread it all over the news & once again michae's name is tarnished. Also 8701gir, the problem with your point of view is that you're thinking of the short-term. What about 10 or 20 years from now when there will be an entire generation who will know crap about Michael? If no one speaks about the person he was, the only books they will depend on are books written by T. Randy, his family with their agenda, ect. Is that what fans really want, for Michael's history to be written by these people? This isn't just about what's best for here and now and about what the media will cherry pick, this is about the future and the fact is people like Frank holds more weight than fans who may not even had met Michael or only known him in passing.

No, you can't just say someone sold stories and then not even post these stories. I am someone who deal with facts, no matter how it comes, and I won't just take any fans' post as the truth. That's why I never co-signed with anything TINI had to say despite fans believing them because they showed no proof of their claims.

If Frank is really selling stories left and right like the Jacksons, let it be known. I mean, it should be found easily using google, right? Post the articles, and let fans judge for themselves of their valor, good or bad.

That's exactly the problem. MJ fans have long decried copy-and-paste 'journalism'. Yet look at this board. A newcomer comes in and gets whacked upside down the head that x,y,z is "bad". The newcomer feels very bad about 'not knowing' and quickly is being taught the ropes of who to put on the sh**list, who's to be loved and so forth. In the worse case scenario you have someone saying "oh, he sold stories" without being able to back up an ounce of that (no, it's not what "everyone knows"- would love to see that in court!! "Oh yes, Judge, all the neighbors know this")

In the 'good' scenarios the conspiracy folks spend actual hours, days and weeks coming up with 'dirt'. It shows up on some blog and whoooops, it gets copy-pasted on a number of other blogs and thus enters the realm of "truth" within the MJ fanbase.

^^^That this could be very well slander and defamation is rarely mentioned. Internet folklore is a better term for this kind of "oh, look I found some dirt on x,y,z."

Ill say that TRUE colors have came out after MJ passing.. and im not just talking about people that were around Michael.. Im talking fans aswell. Fans have been divided in multiple categories and does not feel like united anymore. I don't forget we are still a form of an extended family/friend circle but there is so much division.

Who around michael do the fans still love? Almost no one.. Michael was about LOVE respect humbleness and forgivness. He even forgave la toya *which was a big thing* and now FRank writes this amazing wonderfull book about a PERFECT michael and again some fans bash it! I won't say Frank writing a book is good or bad. Personally, I think it's a good thing to have a more complete picture of the man Michael was and not just his musical legacy from books like Man in the Music. At the same time, however, I can fully understand why some fans hate the idea of any book, good or bad, because of the media.

I, however, believe you can't just keep the truth to yourself just because of what others will think or how other people will spend it. Some times, you just need to speak out and let the chips fall as it may. If you were right, then history will reward you. Which is why I look at Frank's book from a POV of 10 to 20 years from now. I was the same feeling I had about the trial. I knew Murray wouldn't spend much time in jail and his conviction wouldn't change the fact that Michael was dead, but for Michael's history I wanted Murray to be held as the one who killed Michael and he didn't do it himself.

I also cannot fail to see the double standard some fans seem to have with Frank. I remember some fans blasted Frank for doing Nancy Grace because of all the crap she said about Michael. But, people cheered T-Mez for going on Issues during the trial with Jane despite her opinions being only slightly better than Nancy's. T-Mez also did a number of other HLN shows, but people didn't take any issue with it. I am not saying what T-Mez did was bad, I in fact applaud him for going to the network that had demean Michael for too long, but I don't understand why Frank can't do the same.

As a native New Yorker personally, I love reading about Michael Jackson's time in New York. Well, it wasn't that long but he did spend a lot of time here. It's a little like reading about John Lennon - the New York years. Someone should write a book about all of Michael's time here which would also include his time during filming of The Wiz. Oops, I suggested another book about Michael. Did I do that? :cheeky:

I don't know the address of the townhouse. I was on 5th and 57th a couple weeks ago. I passed by Trump Tower. I was thinking. Michael stayed there at one point in his life. :girl_thinking:

Another nice part of this book is when Michael gets a dog for Frank's mom for Christmas (much to Frank's dad's chagrin who of course, gave in to Michael). Frank's quote of his father prior to receiving the dog made me laugh..."From now on the only animals in this house will be stuffed." Sounds like me cause I don't want pets in my apartment heh. Btw, they still have the dog as of the writing of the book.

The townhouse was in the 70's. I think Frank gave the exact number...but I can't remember it (forgive me, I'm middle aged).

Edit: I found the number of the townhouse (I forgot you can search for keywords in Kindle smartphone app). It was on East Seventy-fourth Street.

yeah a funny story And then michael gave her a dog and the father said alright then, but it seems only because he exept it from michael lol. if it would be anybody else the dog would have been gone

Also funny story frank in the alpes? or somewhere with michael and there laying on the house roof and a man came around. Michael immidiatly stood up and started screaming, protecting the cascio brothers. It was so sweet. The man turned out the be a worker there..
