I've only seen some individuals talking about it at most and even then counting an unreleased leaks forum is cheating lol. I'm talking about the average person who knows MJ mostly for his classic hits which the fan community around the world consists mostly of. If it releases on a studio album it's likely that it won't get any mainstream attention which is why I think the song should go on a re-issue of Invincible if the Estate ever decides to give a damn about the album.

Well, none of it ever leaked. APWNN did.
Sony and the Estate don't seem to care when songs leak since most leaks are still up, the only exception I've seen to that was for the songs that were about to be released on Thriller 40 and TYLA (which is a song they had brought back for Xscape and was remixed for Michael but even then they took 1-2 years to take down some of the uploads). Besides, Korg leaks songs once in a while and nothing has ever happened to him.
Well, it is clear they give no Fs to live recordings leaking. As for studio material, it still seems quite uncertain to me.
I think that the bottom line is that they only step in when it's a song they have plans for, otherwise they don't really care.
If that's the case, GYWOOM has been drafted for potential release two times already.
According to Korg himself the song was only merely ever considered (about a decade ago even) and not selected/remixed like TYLA has since there's no way the song can reach mainstream appeal, it won't have the same level of care as songs they are just about to release. Maybe that would be the case if they wanted to save the song for a re-issue but the Estate doesn't care about MJ's career past the 80's so it's doubtful that a re-issue of that album will ever happen.
Probably, it's likely that they'll use Chicago 1945 or any other song that's been leaked as well but even then nothing has happened to the uploads and nothing has happened to the leaker as well, apart of some cease and desist order that came from Steve Porcaro. I don't think they'll use GYWOOM until the vault starts running out of vocally finished material and who knows how long that'll take lol

I could see another album like Xscape coming in the near future- GYWOOM, Chicago 1945, Dream Away, I Was The Loser, TYLA, What You Do To Me, maybe a few tracks from the canceled Dangerous special edition. There’s definitely enough unreleased material for at least one more album.
It surely goes a lot deeper than that, up until a few months ago no one knew that Dream Away and Who Do You Know were songs with full vocals, we've also learned plenty of new titles that no one had heard of recently. It's likely that within all the titles with no info on there are some dozens with vocals on them. No one but the Estate is going to know the answer of how many songs are on a releasable state and even then they're not gonna know it 100%.
