I may live in UK, but I am Polish, and I am ashamed more than ever that I am... Wherever you go to any news portal on the internet, there is nothing else but hate and prejudice towards Michael, even now. His Memorial to them was a complete freak circus, the family is being ridiculled and even Paris tears are an object to laugh as if it wasn't real. And it's not the minority of people, it's a great majority saying stuff like this. I am truly ashamed, I really am... How people can be so cruel is beyond me, especially that over 90% of the nation call themselves Christians and they go to the Church every Sunday.
 
No need to be shamed of your country ;-) I know a lot of Poles who are sad about Michael's passing, my Polish husband being at least as sad about it as me....

Don't make the mistake and judge a full nation because of some shit written on the internet....
 
It's the media only. It's not the polish ppl. I know a lot of polish ppl in Germany in mournging. Do not let the media fool you! You've nothing to be ashamed of.
 
The media can never break or even touch the love that Michael inspired. Let them do their hateful things, they are empty, lonely people who nobody really ever listens to. We know that Michael is love, his family does - his children do, and they will always be protected by that love. Nothing will ever stop it. People think that love is occasional and attacks require defense... but the truth is love is eternal and elevated far above attack or defense. We're all better than that. Let the rats do what rats do. They must be so void.

I have been to Poland several times and love the country very very much. its people, culture, literature. and i am Russian.
but i know what you mean. Poland is probably the most religious country in Europe and you might feel that people are not living up to what they proclaim? am i right? but look, we only know what the media say, common people can be different and more compassionate to Michael. and the media are all the same in every country. I live in New Zealand and the media here are absolutely the same. they even stupid because they just reprint American media. which happens in every country. not all humans are so forgiving and true Christians like Michael. they are just humans and can make mistakes. "forgive them because they dont know what they're doing" isnt it right? so dont be ashamed. be proud on the contrary. because you are a Polish fan. and that makes a difference anyway
 
No need to be ashamded Micah, this is just media bs and you'll find that in every country. People all over the world mourn the loss of Michael, including fans in Poland. But you'll find critics all over the world aswell. Like I said, it's just media bs. Let it be.

Be proud of yourself like Michael was proud of himself and leave the hating to people that were unfortunate not to have experienced the love that was Michael.
 
I feel the same way about being British. The tabloids here are horrible, but that is tabloids for you, and there are times people yell at me in the streets because I am wearing either a black or red fedora and an armband on my right arm and they immediately relate it to Michael Jackson. There's evil people all around the world, and as hurtful as their remarks are in the end you need to try not to let them get you too down and not react angrily with them but just love them because these people have never known real love before and their behaviour only comes out of fear from the lack of love.

I think what ashames me most is the colour of my skin. I'm very white, although covered in moles, but it's the horrible history of how white people have treated black people and how much racism still affects different colour people these days with white people thinking they're far better and really running black people down with such awful comments or taking advantage of them that cuts me inside. I don't want to be associated with a race that has shown so much bitterness and hatred to other cultures.

The other day my old friend Sheila took me out for a late birthday outing at the Trafford Centre. She went to order a McDonald's lunch but she hit the wrong queue and was queueing in a line for a kebab shop. When she asked for a burger and fries and they told her they didn't do that she realised she was in the wrong queue and moved away, then she turned to me and said "I hate those Pakis, I hate the lot of them. They're only here to get their passports." I was so ashamed and shocked at what she said that I told her off quietly telling her she shouldn't be saying and thinking such things but she insisted loudly she didn't care and that she was entitled to what she wanted to think that I stepped out of the line and told her that I never again wanted to hear her say those words ever again and that I was not going to stand next to her when she was saying such horrible things. People were staring at her, it was so embarrassing. I nearly cried at the things she said and was physically shaking with emotion.
 
O come on guys, don't be ashamed of what you are. There are good and bad people in the world, just as there are lover and haters of Michael. A perfect world is nonexistent, although we would want it to be so.
 
It is almost the same here. One of the most famous internet portals for news still calls him *****. I wrote 2 times to the editor. I wrote very kind letters. Nothing changed. Now i found a teenage forum for MJ. Kids know absolutly nothing real for Michael. They know what the media is telling them and they believe it because this is their only source for info. Just as i was when i was a teenager. That is why i started copying threads and info from here and translating it for them. The fans` stories, his speeches (they have never heard any of his speeches, can you imagine), his words of wisdom, etc. They were fascinated. They made me moderator immediately and now they download with my help things from 2000 wats. Now i feel obliged to do that even though actually i do not so much free time. It is up to us now more than ever to try spread Michael`s words and wisdom, to try change people`t attitude. My mother thought Michael was trying to be white. It took me a looong time to convince her because so many years she has heard one and the same. I hope these journalists will pay some day for all the BS they spreaded.
 
I'm part Polish, Russian, German, Irish, English, and Scottish. So I am proud to be a part of those countries. I always tend to consider myself mostly Polish and Russian. Than the other 4 countries. But as for the tabloids and news media I wouldn't pay any attention to them. I never did and I most certainly never will. I had learn to fully ignore them over the years. That is their problem if the haters don't want to experience the wonderful loving person that Michael truely was in to their lives.
 
I'm English and a quarter scottish so often find myself conflicted about our dodgy history towards the scots :( I love scotland and have been on countless holidays there and especially where I feel most at home in the highlands (being a simpson, which is a surname in the Fraser clan). But I feel bad that most people don't take two and just look around them and appreciate what's here. With all this apparent internal conflict I'm surprised we've not broken out into civil war again! That's the miracle.

Look to God, cuz He know the true about Michael :) And be happy that we know it, too and not blinded like those ignorant fools.
 
Don't ever say "I am ashamed that I am Polish". Such a statement only evokes prejudices against a country/culture. Don't put yourself on a par with the media. Because that is exactly what the media does with Michael's image, too. But our goal should be to vanguish all those obvious prejudices.
Every country/culture has its good/bad people. At last - each individual is different independent from the country. So don't be mad at the people in your country. They just don't know any better. They haven't studied Michael's life. Further - people don't reflect on what's being said in the media. They prefer to join the opinion of the majority in order to avoid conflicts. The only thing you can do is: Try to reduce some peoples prejudices against Michael - help them to become open-minded.
