Invincible was not only better than Off the Wall, but well deserving of it's "Album of the Decade" award, people need to acknowledge how GREAT it was

MJ said it himself:
Invincible is his best album.

end of discussion.

i haven't listened to OTW for a few years, while I'm blasting Invincible nearly every week.
Literally me, when DanGerouS said, that Invincible is best album:

these lyrics from Rockin' In The Free World fit to Invincible
Sony is the woman, Invincible the baby.

I see a woman in the night
With a baby in her hand
Under an old street light
Near a garbage can
Now she puts the kid away,
and she's gone to get a hit
She hates her life,
and what she's done to it
There's one more kid
that will never go to school
Never get to fall in love,
never get to be cool.

i think that doesnt matter, but iam not a girl. xD

OTW sounds too playful and smoothed out for me (still a good album though).
i need raw & raspy MJ, paired with rough beats. vocals and production on Invincible beats OTW anyday. (but it's difficult to compare, since it's late 70s vs 2000s style)

BOTDF was already a precursor to Invincible. a shame it was not a full-album.

Invincible the song sounds circa the year 2000. If released in the year 2000, the song/ album could have been more successful. By 2001, what was popular in music went from EDM pop to hip hop.

OTW was raw in some parts. Michael wasn’t always playful and cute in the OTW Album. He was barely 20 and was flaunting himself. He fitted in well with the organic 70s sounds. Dreamy and romantic, with a hint of toughness.

Vocals from Invincible beat the vocals from Off The Wall?
Absolutely not..

I'm not sure the OTW-MJ could've recorded Whatever Happens
The same person who recorded "She's out of my life","Rock with you","Get on the floor" or "Don't stop 'til you get enough" would have no problem recording "Whatever Happens",I suppose..
To back up my claim, here's something that you may want to take a look at:

Exactly..
Haven't you noticed that it's the same individuals constantly trying to big up Invincible and how it's the best thing ever created blah blah

I have no problem with people enjoying the album (so do I) but claiming that it's better than legit legendary songs earlier in Michael's career is comical.

I'm not talking about the vocal ability
it's about the experience that comes with age
