I wonder if this is one of those family gatherings that KJ is asking Michael's estate to pay?
Categories of Mrs. Jackson's allowance: salaries and payroll benefits (salary, driver; handyman & full-time housekeeper; parttime housekeeper; payroll taxes; worker's comp ins); med benefits (ins); contract workers; basis needs (food, clothing, personal grooming, personal supplies; health ins; doctors, dentist, vision); entertainment, travel & other (gas, maint of vehicle & RV, parking, storage facility); taxes & professional svc (inc tax; CPA, bookkeeper, atty); household maint (maint & taxes for Indiana, Las Vegas & Calabasas); add'l items not previously reflected (family gatherings, parties, personal prop ins, vehicle reg & ins).

The only ones is the photo who could foot the bill is Blanket and Prince

^^It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. I don't think hiring the personnel for the catering for that amount of people is cheap. How many family gatherings did you see with that amount of people when Michael was here? If there were, it wasn't that often.

Wow, I think this is the first time I see a picture of any of Michael's grandparents. Are you sure this is Joes father?

It's actually very surprising to me that Michael still had his grandparents in the 1990's when I became a fan - I never heard anything about them, not even when they passed.

No, he's Rufus Thomas, who was a soul & funk singer and also a radio DJ. He was on Stax Records and mainly known for dance craze songs like Walking The Dog, Do The Funky Chicken, and Push And Pull. His daughter Carla also sings. Rufus was called the "oldest living teenager" as his biggest hits came after he was 45 years old. Those singles were popular with a young audience. He didn't cross over much to pop radio, his hits were mostly on the R&B chart. Here's a picture from 1956 with Elvis.

Thank you. That's really interesting-and it's obvious that the Jackson kids are having a great time with him. Did Dick Clark "steal" that "oldest living teenager" nickname from him? :)

So this is Joe's dad? I always thought Joseph looked like his mother, but you can definitely see him in the eye shape and a little of the mouth. Maybe it's just his expression-it's like Rebbie and Janet staring out at you.
