CHICAGO, IL - The contemporary artist and provocateur Jeff Koons is one of the most well known and intriguing artists of the 20th century. The seductive surfaces, luxurious scale and quality, and flawless execution of his works – many of which have become icons, such as Rabbit, Michael Jackson and Bubbles, and Puppy – transform everyday objects and fantasies into high art. After presenting the first survey of Koons’ work in 1988, the MCA is revisiting the work of this seminal figure in contemporary art, exploring his powerful influence on contemporary art and his significance for a new generation. The exhibition Jeff Koons, on view May 31 to September 21, 2008, is his first major US museum survey in fifteen years and will only be presented in Chicago.

Is it allowed to post the art work, or may be it is not beautiful enough, or may be behind is a bad meaning?

Neither of the women had heard Clark’s music.

“I don’t know who he is, but I am just waiting for Roy Clark,” Pani said.

“I just love music. I am crazy about it.”

Pani said Indians love American rock ’n’ roll.

Ralph Tresvant is a shining star that has been captivating audiences for over 25 years as a solo artist; actor, entertainer, writer, producer and legendary front man of super group New Edition. Ralph Tresvant has helped to pave the way for so many others like New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, Nsync, Chris Brown, Neo, Usher and Justin Timberlake, who have all followed in his footsteps. From Ralph's youth he has been compared to the king of pop Michael Jackson, with his candy girl vocals and amazing stage presence it was very clear that Mr. Tresvant was destined for greatness. Legendary music icon Dick Clark himself has said that Ralph Tresvant is an amazing and timeless artist.

WHICH ARTISTS ARE YOUR MAIN INFLUENCES?

I have so many of them, my MySpace page has a list of hundreds of artists who've influenced me in some way or another. I think that's why the album is quite eclectic. I listen to lots of stuff from the last 40 years, hip hop, dance, soul, rock, you name it. When I was younger, my parents always played things like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Chaka Khan in the house, 70s gospel, and things like that. And my grandparents always played lots of jazz. I listened to a lot of pop music too, I remember dancing around to Top 40 radio when I was very little. I got really into clubs when I lived in the UK as well, and loved dance music.

He has also created stage illusions for enchanters of a different sort: Jim Morrison, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper, Barbra Streisand, Cher.

Luckily, the Harrison Exhibit Center in Hesperia took in his collection of more than 17,000 artifacts, including a banana-sequined purse bearing an image of Michael Jackson. The museum was 34 years old.

How comfortable are you with dancing?
People say that when I came into this world, I must have come out doing a ‘wave’! Ha ha ha! I love dancing more than the training aspect. It’s the love for dancing. My favourite dancers are Michael Jackson and Prabhu Deva. I think he’s an inspiration to every dancer. It’s my dream to be choreographed by Prabhu Deva one day.

I studied film; I'm now unemployed. Stick with music. What's the first CD you bought? The 1st CD was Michael Jackson - Bad. It sounded crisp. The first single was Madonna - Get Into The Groove. Rozzana Arquetet was on the sleeve with Madonna, she looked much hotter.

Twenty-year-old Moon Pae Hyuk, snapping a somersault in the air, recalled the stiff opposition from his parents before he joined the group. Moon picked up the moves from Michael Jackson videos and practised on the sidewalks of Kyongido, an industrial town bustling with migrant workers near Seoul. “Face-offs on Kyongido streets, known for their thriving street-dance culture, spilled into full-fledged sessions, with bystanders joining in. Unlike America or France where it is regarded as a rebel art form, in South Korea the masses have taken to B-boying,” added Moon. Ask how the Koreans embraced the footwork of the Bronx and Kim would say: “It is a fervent passion of the dance that we all share, and it is here to stay.”

Michael Jackson HIStory for May 17, 2008:

1998 - Michael Jackson met with Namibian president Sam Nujoma in Windhoek. Jackson announced his plans to build a leisure complex and shopping centers in the impoverished country.

Dorothy_Marie: A big happy 25th anniversary!! :clapping: That was one BIIIG moment in HIStory.

Hey, I know we're not getting actual album details, and I don't expect to - but there were some great vibes from that article about what RedOne had to say about recording in Vegas. It sounds magical there right now. :) xx

:cheeky: thx.
One can't see much, only Michael in disguise and a glimpse on Paris, may be.

Where does he come from. May be it is a STUDIO?

But, :hysterical: what about the "news" the kids would have been banned?

They said they left a movie theater... and you could also see Blanket.

oh yes, yet I have read it. I didn't read the whole text before, I was too busy to watch the video

But one can't see the kids really, only a very short glimpse.

Thank you for the news, people. Eternity's child, I read what you posted. Very interesting.

Honestly, I’m not allowed to talk about Michael at all,” says RedOne, who was born Nadir Khayat in Morocco and now calls Los Angeles home. “I just love him. I’m a big fan of his. There’s something going on, but I can’t talk about it

Mike is killing us with the no! LOL. I like what RedOne stated. This proves here that 1. MJ IS working on a new cd 2. Like DUH, he can't letanything be revealed and 3. RedOne must have been told by MJ or signed a confidentiality agreement made by MJ and his peeps not to tell the media a damn thing about what is going on with MJ's new cd. Good to be reminded again.

Ok, is it me or am I having a hard time downloading the footage of MJ from tmz.com?

Corbett to discuss his novel, 'Blood of Paradise,' Wednesday
Article Launched: 05/18/2008 07:05:28 AM PDT

Author David Corbett will discuss his critically acclaimed novel, "Blood of Paradise," a finalist for an Edgar for Best Original Paperback, when The Reporter Book Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Vacaville Library - Town Square.
Corbett will sign copies of his book and answer questions at the event, moderated by supervising librarian Lani Clarke. The public is invited to attend.

In the book, based in El Salvador, Corbett 's 25-year-old protagonist, Jude McManus, works as a bodyguard for Axel Odelberg, an American hydrologist. Like Odelberg, McManus tries to live his life honorably, something his father, a Chicago cop, couldn't do. But when Bill Malvasio, an old friend of his father's, shows up in El Salvador asking for McManus' help, things begin to go wrong.

Corbett, who lives in Vallejo, was a private investigator for 15 years, involved in high-profile criminal and civil litigations such as the Lincoln Savings & Loan case, the DeLorean trial, the Cotton Club murder, the People's Temple trial and the first Michael Jackson child molestation case. He started writing in his 40s, and has written two other novels, "The Devil's Redhead" and "Done for a Dime" as well as numerous short stories.

The Reporter Book Club is sponsored by the Vacaville Library, The Reporter and Bounty Books which offers a discount on book club selections. The club meets every two months. For more information, call Diane Barney, 453-8149.

Never heard of him. He may have had to perform some incredibly trivial task for one of MJ's lawyers or something random like that, but now he'll forever namedrop Michael to appear more significant than he actually probably is. He did comment on the 2005 trial last year, saying that he didn't feel the prosecution should have brought a case since it was so full of holes.

So I suppose we can at least guess he didn't work for Chandler in '93.

Then after that he said that Michael was in a "pathological state of denial about many things in his life, both internal and external". He went on to say that Michael was very ill-served by some of the people around him and that if there was one guy who needed a true friend to tell him the honest to God truth, it was the King of Pop.

That is what he really said.

Everytime I hear or read where someone is saying that Michael is in denial or pathological something or the other, I wonder what specifically are they talking about? What is Michael in denial about? Why does Michael need all the "fixin" when it is the people that keep injecting themselves into his life that are causing the problems?

In my mind, if there is anything Michael needs to do, it is this....he needs to stop being so nice to people and cut them off...protect himself from PEOPLE. That is what he needs to do.

I agree with what you stated all of the way. MJ has to put the word "no" in his vocab and defend himself. Other than that, he is fine. All of this junk about MJ being a "pathologiocal state of denial" is not the reason why MJ was in the mess that he was in. It is all sorts of things. At some point in our lives, we might be in denial of a lot of things. That is why true friends and family are there in one's life and tell that person the truth. I hope that MJ really did an evaulation of himself and get his life in order.

Anyway, I have some news. I was at Walmart today and I was skimming through Ebony magazine with Chris Brown on the cover. So, I am looking at the pictures of the photoshoot and I am thinking to myself, "wow, he is truly trying to be the next Michael". So, I read where Chris' people put on WBSS during the photoshoot and all he did was MJ moves. I am like, "damn, he is really a fan, really a fan." So, the articles goes on to say (and I am just going by memory. I did not purcahes the magazine) that MJ stated to Ebony that he likes Chris and the reason why he (Michael) did music because he wanted the next generation to be influenced by him or something like that. So, Chris' mother said that it is her fault that Chris is such an MJ fan. Chris' mother was/is a fan herself and she used to sit and watch MJ performances a lot and Chris joined in and got hooked on it. I thought that was interesting.

Dang. I am agreeing with you again. The world is upside down. lol

And thanks for sharing the bit from Ebony. Gotta Luv it.

I got the mag, Bee, and I read that little excerpt too.

You know, when you think about it, most of the mothers of these new acts out here like Chris, NeYo, Omarion, Usher and Justin, are in their forties, which means that they grew up with Michael and they were most likely fans. So they just passed the fandom onto their sons. Most of these boys talk about watching Michael when they grew up, so Mike had to be on tv or something in their homes.

I like the whole "recruitment" thing with the young folks. My little nephews are 9 and 8 months and I am recruiting the 9 year old right now. His dad, my brother, will no doubt have the new album blasting in their house, so I know my little neph is on his way to being a fan. He already gets in the floor and tries to moonwalk.

Dang. I am agreeing with you again. The world is upside down. lol

Totally agree. The world is a hot ass mess and "no" can save a life. LOL. Trust me, I know. And you are welcome.

ATLF - I wanted to get it but I was on a budget. I agree with what you stated. My sister's best friend was watching his cousins (or nephews, I am not sure) and they were going to teach my sister's friend the Souja Boy dance. The friend, who is also a big MJ fan, basically did not care for Souja Boy and decided to get his cousins into MJ and they were hooked. I told my sister that parents have got to introduce their children into MJ in order to know who he is. When they don't, imo, they are robbed of witnessing great talent. I mean, when I was growing up, Mike was always on the radio, so I didn't need an introduction. However, 20 years later, it is you, me, everyone to introduce our children (in the future) and any young relatives to MJ. This laughable media are busy writing him off, so, I feel it is like a duty to let the young people know about a true talent such as Michael. When I have children, they will be MJ fans. That is a must. I can't raise an MJ hater. I am serious. I do not play that. LOL.

elusive i'd only agree if mj wasn't around when the masks were off. cuz the kids have been out and about in vegas w/o their masks but when mj was around, they were covered up. remember them at the luxor awhile back? mj was obviously there, it was obviously him, then people saw the kids uncovered. the incognito thing only works when daddy is mia

I hear ya, Bee.

Soso, I hope you aint talking about those picks of Paris and that boy behind her from that hotel. That boy looks absolutely nothing like Prince. In fact, I don't think he was Prince. I think he was someone else who was maybe a friend of Paris. Look at him again and you will see what I am talking about.

babe, it was prince! lol ive seen the kid in person, it was him. blankito was also there, in the same jacket he was wearing at the movies in the tmz vid...but everyone was focused on paris pointing and prince just chillaxin that blank went almost unnoticed.
