The involuntary manslaughter trial against Conrad Murray, the doctor who was treating Michael Jackson the day he died in Los Angeles last summer, is not even underway and already a massive media circus is expected at Superior Court downtown.

A hearing in the Murray case scheduled for Monday had the county court system scrambling on Friday to prepare for the global news-media onslaught. "To minimize congestion inside the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center on Monday, April 5, media representatives should claim seating credentials at the PIO check-in desk on the exterior plaza in front of east end of the Temple Street entrance to the building," reads a county statement. " ... Seating credentials will not be distributed on the 13th floor, or anywhere else inside the couthouse, at any time."


The county warns that if you're late, you're out of luck: "Media representatives who arrive after 1:15 cannot be accommodated in the courtroom, regardless of where they may fall on the seating reservation list."

Is this an opportunity for "Free Murray" t-shirt hawkers? Will Gloria Allred find a female angle and hold a news conference on the courthouse steps? Are Jackson's still-thriving fans going to moonwalk for the press? You'll just have to tune in Monday afternoon to find out.
 
Circus is an understatement but not unexpected.

^^It's a side/freak-show is what it is. Its entertainment for the entire world. Yes its more than a circus.
 
I'm glad michael's death is so entertaining for the world. I don't care about the media I just want justice for michael.
 
No. I never said it was entertaining for me. I think it horrendous. Im talking about the media and the mainstream world. They go completely crazy over this. Disgusting.

It happens in every high profile case. I have a feeling that the media coverage is gonna get out of control here.

And since the media usually roots for the victim in every crime case, with Nancy disgrace tearing apart that doc (although it's mostly due to the fact that she's pro prosecution).

I'll try to use my knowledge of the media to try to explain.

i doubt there will hardly be a circus tomorrow as nothings really going to happen. media created circus nothing more.
 
But my point was how the whole world feeds off of any and all MJ stories.

It will be a circus... no doubt. Remember when the trial in '05 was going on? Even on days when MJ didn't show up it was nuts. Even for simple motion hearings... it was nuts. Every damned day of the entire thing.... so I completely expect it to be the same now. I'm just not sure if I am ready for all that again... it will be on the news a LOT and talked about by everyone regardless of what they think of MJ and we'll be surrounded by it and hear stupid and mean opinions nonstop by every armchair lawyer/judge in the planet.
*sigh*

I sort of want to hide under a rock and let it proceed and come back for the verdict :ph34r: But that's not really possible as I'm an MJ fan and like always we tough it out for the long haul :) but I am not going to like it.

TMZ where the only ones allowed in the court room last time (using HD too) on slight delay so it might be on their website again.

I watched the live stream in the court room from TMZ and all other new outlets mentioned their feed was courtesy of TMZ (like usual!).
 
IMO whoever chose April 5th when half the world is on Holiday for this hearing wanted to be sure it becomes a media circus watched by many people.

No i'm not really glad. Everthing in michael like seemed entertaining for the world and my point was even in death people don't care, they just want to be entertained.

I was talking about the media and the rest of the world as well, not you or any other fan.
 
Let there be a media circus. The world needs to know the truth. We aren't on defence here, we are on prosecution so the more reporters, the better!

Unfortunately, the media will try by any means interprete Michael as an drug addict, depressed scum, that zombies himself with propofol every day and is on the verge of death ...
Speculation will start like this shit where daily we can see these "friends of the deceased star", hiccuping and making BREAKING NEWS, how Michael was so ill and depressed.
To one, Jackson said that he can't resist anymore and wants to end his painfull life.
To another he announced that maybe a creepy group is trying to eliminate him... and ofcourse his sis Latoya... drama baby.. drama!Books will be written and the family with leader the natural Latoya will go on "interview tour" around the country... Get ready bitc

This case is not about Murray, it will turn into a media parade, which will try to dig more from the name Michael Joe Jackson.They will manipulate and rotate every detail, make it sound strange to fit the ***** mania and feed the TOP EXPLOSIVE NEWS with stupid rumours about his conditions and medical history.
