Jaafar looks ripped AF in that white shirt 😂 it must just be the angle and while I’m at it , who’s the Jaafar Jackson impersonator on the far right ?

It would be cool to have a film scene about Hot Street where Q, Rod and Michael discuss whether the song should be on the album.
It would?? Huh??? Nobody - absolutely nobody - wants to see a movie about an outtake song they've never heard, lol.

The Queen film is literally named after their biggest hit, and is packed full of songs everybody knows.

Talking about Hot Street would be a dead scene and would literally alienate everybody.

they can’t cover the allegations. Have you actually read the settlement? Do you understand what a legally binding agreement is?
I'm a movie director. I can make a movie about MJ. I didn't sign any agreement, so I can include any content I want.

Do you understand when freedom of expression is?

Wjy does the name bad bunny remind me of spike from moonwalker......you know just saying
Right on!

I don't think a short scene were they discuss the tracklist of Thriller and mention Hot Street would "alienate" anyone. You act like they suggested that the whole movie should be about Hot Street. It would even make sense to tease Hot Street in the movie if they plan to release it as a single.

Your not an executor of the Mj estate or an heir of Michael Jackson, hence the 1994 settlement doesn’t apply to you. If you were, then you would be legally forbidden from dramatising the Chandler allegations in any way. Do you understand that?

Technically you could make that movie. But Sony/Motown and/or the estate can refuse to let you use any of Mike's music, either the originals or any re-recordings by the actors. That's what happened with certain biopics about Jimi Hendrix & The Beatles. The Beatles have a movie called Backbeat about the early Stu Sutcliffe & Pete Best era of the band. The filmmakers didn't need to get permission to use any songs written by The Beatles (or their recordings) because they didn't exist yet. The group were just doing covers in clubs. Without songs by Mike/J5, you can't have any performance scenes, you'd just have a courthouse movie like an episode of Law & Order SVU or that old movie 12 Angry Men. Most people aren't going to pay to watch that in a movie theater.

Evidently they're including the rehearsals for Motown 25:

Good catch. I’m very impressed with Jafaar thus far. It seems like they are doing a great job at trying to replicate the likeness of most people. However. The brothers look awful. The one playing Randy kind of looks like him. But Jackie, Tito and Jermaine look awful. It’s almost like they didn’t even try to find anyone that could resemble them slightly. Tito looks like Bernie Mac. Not to mention Michael looks like frickin Clark Kent there. Way too buff and polished looking. Hopefully that’s just the angle and it plays better in the actual movie. Either way I didn’t think I would be, but I’m somewhat excited for this movie. Hopefully it doesn’t go the route of Elvis and Bohemian, Rhapsody and make up a bunch of shit.

In making of is nothing From dangerous and history time watch it could be after Bad Ende man you should not expect anything Part 2

What are the chances of the final trailer featuring Hot Street and the song being released as the lead single from the movie soundtrack at the same time? 🤔

I'll collapse if this film does not have a scene that contains or alludes to Branca's involvement with the ATV catalogue purchase - so I was wondering what other famous musicians COULD have a cameo / blink and you'll miss / face absolutely obscured appearance like U2 and Bowie in Bohemian Rhapsody.

I'd imagine Macca, Stevie and Lionel would be my "educated" guesses as to who COULD have actual dialogue and not just a fly-by scene.

If the film does not have Randy or Janet is disappointing as they were pretty important with regards to MJ's Hayvenshurst demos. Regardless of the piece of sh*t Randy turned out to be, he was the closest brother to MJ in those years. And MJ was very close to Janet too during the film period.

Branca will definitely get his ATV catalogue moment 😂

As for cameos, I’m sure there was a studio 54 scene , and actors were hired for Andy Warhol , Liza Minnelli etc.

I predict there will be articles once this film comes out about how Janet wasn’t in it and how she is against the estate. They will prob mention Janet and Randy by name only in the film but we won’t see them

It did look like dangerous tour with the lighting set up like that.
We do know that at least one performance of MITM from '92 was filmed, but these behind the scenes features can feature cut scenes a lot of the time. Some lunatic tried to sue Warner Brothers because the final cut omitted several scenes that were shown in features and trailers.

Mental.

They chose not to be part of it didnt they? which is surprising

Who's ready for Hot Street featuring Bruno Mars and The Weeknd as the lead single for the soundtrack 🤣 :ROFLMAO:

Maybe we'll get lucky and get Can't Get Outta The Rain with Bad Bunny too
We’ve not even had MITM in the trailers yet people demanding hot street be in the movie 🤣

That shit got left off Thriller for a reason back in 1982.

Hot Street is a good track, it's not Thriller level but it's definitely good enough for the movie soundtrack if they do use it.
It's the most commercial - totally complete - unreleased song that we have access to IMO. If anything, I would have expected the Estate to hold off on it and capitalise on the (hopeful) success of the movie to launch a follow up with new projects.

IF "Michael" achieves the same kind of success that Bohemian Rhapsody did, it would be the best (and likely last) chance MJ would have at getting a #1 single or album. Then again, if Hot Street IS featured in the film and during a scene that could be considered a "highlight" it could also shoot up the charts.

Based on everything we've seen so far, there'd be no way they don't try for a music release to coincide imo.
