Hey guys.

I did an experiment which I thought would be pretty cool. On January 16th of this year I went to Amazon.com and wrote down some sales positions of MJ's main albums. I went back 1 month later (today), Feb 16th and took down the new totals...you will be shocked at the increases seen in only 1 month:

Michael Jackson Amazon Chart Position
2008

Album Jan 16th .................Feb 16th

Thriller 25 #591....................#29
Thriller 25 Enhanced #342....................#24
Thriller #343....................#150
Off The Wall #1,104..................#318
Bad #2,943..................#1,344
Dangerous #10,301.................#1,487
History #15,089.................#2,223
BOTDF #13,299.................#15,013
Invincible #31,833.................#3,123
Number Ones #1,202...................#490
Essential #3,694...................#1,213
Greatest Hits #4,145...................#2,239

Some interesting observations:

In 30 days:

INVINCIBLE HAS ADVANCED 28,710 positions!
HISTORY HAS ADVANCED 12,866 positions!
DANGEROUS HAS ADVANCED 8,814 positions!
Every major album of MJ's has surged with the exception of BOTDF

This is great news!

Wow :) GO MICHAEL! Very happy about Invincible since that is, apparently, his "flop"

Thanks for experimenting! Keep these up, so in another month we can see how he is doing again :)

WOW! Thanks for the excellent information. I am really happy for Michael and the much-needed and deserved positive attention that Michael is receiving from Thriller 25 etc.

I really could not be more chuffed! Michael is coming back!

BRACE YOURSELF! :)

What a great experiment! (I wish Science experiments in school were this relevant! LOL)

Thanks so much for your efforts in sharing this with us all, perhaps if you could keep us updated?

yep i will keep everyone updated on this. it just shows, more and more people are slowly forgetting about the scandals, rumors, etc, and focusing more on the music. this is obviously greatly helped by Thriller 25

It is proof that this man will never be a hasbeen.:) Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the sales information.

Of all times for my computer to go on the blitz--the release week of Thriller 25! I have, fortunately been able to keep updated because I could view the site but I just couldn't post.

This has been absolutely fantastic! The CD is really great and the remixes are terrific--I don't care what anyone says. Of course, based on sales it seems that others just may agree with me.

Congratulations to Michael and all who helped him pull this together.

It'd be interesting to see the figures in one month from now. Because in one month from now Thriller 25 would be said and done. So I just think it would be interesting to see how different his sales are in a month's time.

I'm lookin' 4ward to see Bes clips about it. Positive relating sales... :)

Wow, that's great! Thanks for doing that. It is shocking to see some of them how they skyrocketed!

Invincible #31,833.................#3,123

LOL "OH MY GOD MICHAEL JACKSON CAME OUT WITH A NEW ALBUM?//!?!?!?!?!?!?"

and so sad about botdf, such a good album

good to see them moving, but we should put things in perspective here. the sales were coming from a very low base (just a few copies per week), so even though we have invincible moving from 31,833 to 3,123, the absolute sales increase will be quite small.

That is correct. The chart is approximately an exponential one and you don't start to see any high numbers until you get to something like the 100th place and higher.
