Michael Jackson Scream - The Album

It good i like it their could have left Leave Me Alone off and put Is It Scary that would have been better but over all it was good love the Mash -Up nice beat too it a good dance song. Was debate but had to get the vinyl version just order it today.

I totally agree. Would have been far better without Leave Me Alone and having Is It Scary on there instead.

I won't. That's the thing with music and different tastes. I hate this new age house/techno.. whatever.. I don't know the name of it. So in my opinion, this is pure crap.

I quite enjoy some of the remixes released during Michael's lifetime, especially some of the BOTDF remixes and Thriller 25 remixes.

I'm not usually a fan of modern house/techno either, but I like this. But like you said, different tastes.

Certain remixes Michael commissioned are great -- Scream Louder, Tony Moran's HIStory Lesson, Fire Island's Money, WBSS 2008. But a good portion of them (in my opinions) range from mediocre to total dumpster fires -- Hani's Earth Song, Tee's Stranger in Moscow, Beat It/Billie Jean 2008. Not saying the more recent remixes are anything groundbreaking, and some just barely pass decent, but I consider them to be a considerable step up.

Well... excluding the Pitbull remix. I could slap Branca and McClain for letting that happen.

When I heard the Thriller remix this morning I can't say I was impressed. Huge disappointment. That's coming from someone who's a huge fan of Michaels remixes. But it comes down to taste, genres. There will be people that like it, just maybe not people of a certain age or generation. In parts like the verses it's ok, but the choruses and that cheesy synth totally ruin it for me. And that vocal effect is just a big no for me.

Got my cd today. Features a really nice poster inside and card that you scan with your phone that unlocks more video/animation content.

And they just aired another album teaser on U.K. Tv during a prime time slot. The teaser was longer, featured more songs and had new themes including an animated snake. Really cool!

Would have been cool if the MJ had danced in the AR thing.

Curious to see the longer trailer.

I agree, but all in all I prefer 90's dance mixes over 2010's EDM mixes. 90's music fitted much better in my opinion to Michael's vocals and it was much dancier in my opinion.

From posthumous remixes I only really liked David Morales remix of Love Never Felt So Good with JT. Although some Hollywood Tonight remixes were actually pretty great (Chuckie and some others). Also Papersha$er remix of Chicago wasn't bad. And Nero remix of Speed Demon was great.

This one is the worst by far for me. Also Audien remix of Slave To The Rhythm sucked. Fedde Le Grand of Love, Pittbull version of Afrojack's remix - all crap in my opinion. But maybe I'm just old :).

Tried this with my poster and phone earlier. It's so awesome :) and addictive. Move your phone slighty away from the poster and the black crows actually start flying into the room your standing in LOL . pretty cool

I can't stand Jermaine Jackson BUT as I listen to "Torture".
It makes me remember there is no better harmony than a duet by the brothers
Michael and Jermaine Jackson.

and....the best Jacksons record EVER is "Heartbreak Hotel"!!!!!

My eye still twitches whenever I see "This Place Hotel".

Would it be THAT big of an issue to just revert to the original title...?

It's currently sitting at #7 on the iTunes Worldwide Chart.
http://kworb.net/aww/

Haven't bought it yet and not crazy about the Thriller remix. I'm still debating...Who am I kidding. I'll wind up getting it. lol

I won't be buying anything on itunes lol those are the same songs I already own except for Somebody is watching me. And buying the Thriller remix? my ass. my ears almost bleed while listening.

Just popped on to say, despite the negativity from some 'MJ fans' SCREAM is currently;

#2 on AMAZON UK (all CDs & vinyls)
#1 on AMAZON UK (R&B and Soul)
#8 iTunes UK (even after 32 hours on sale)

If my local Sainsbury store is anything to go by, it's also selling well in their stores (RECORD OF THE WEEK).

This should end up top 5 in the UK next Friday, despite the usual 'boycott' by certain MJ 'fans', and may remain in the charts around Halloween, reoccurring each year.

Imagine what MJ albums could do with support like Elvis 'yet another Xmas album' Presley gets?

Carry on.

Just because some people dont' want to purhase an album full of songs they already have doesn't make them 'fans' (with the implication they aren't real fans.)

By the way Buzfeed main page is filled with ads for Michael Jackson Scream.

The augmented reality is really cool though! Does anyone know how the sales are doing right now? I don’t think it will hit the top #3, but it still makes me curious

I don't think I'll be spending my money on a collection of songs that I've forked out for many, many, many times before over the years. The album looks poor and cheapens MJs legacy. Its definitely aimed towards younger people who may not already own a greatest hits album. Although in saying that I listened to the Blood on The Dance Floor X Dangerous mix on my Google Music account and its quite good. At least its one thing I haven't heard before. Not worth buying the album for though.

Yes. I agree. Imagine what this could do with fans supporting, instead of some boycotting and complaining and trying to get others not to buy or support. The promotion for this project has been awesome, just as it was for Xscape. Thank God, we have an estate that is actively trying to expand Michael's legacy and keep it alive!!

This one has much better promotion than Xscape which is great, but weird. If Xscape got this kind of promotion it would have hit #1. This one is done brilliantly so far. Xscape literally disappeared after Love Never Felt So Good.

Why would fans support this? Yes some fans are willing to buy the same songs again and again for some reason but not all fans are going to do it. This is a good release to get new fans.

I think the impact from fans boycotting releases is overstated to be honest. The fan base is not that big these days.

The trouble is that fans unhappy with the release go all over the net slating it and it's unnecessary. My advice to them is...So you don't like it? Don't buy it and keep your mouth shut.

I bought it because i didn't already own torture, this place hotel, or who's watching me. Plus i like the concept.
I didn't buy Michael Jackson's vision. I didn't by the cirque du solei album. Did i go on a anti- estate or anti project campaign? No. People bought them and liked them. Fair enough. No problem from me.

The mj fan community has actually been well served since mjs death and it's a pity to many fans are spoilt, ungrateful people.

Oh and yes, the estate must attract new listeners too so not everything can be aimed at the hard-core fans.
