Notes: Some gains this week, with the biggest percentage gain going to the two HIStory editions. A found-out figure for the Live In Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour DVD - through the week ending October 16th (Billboard Issue Date October 29th, 2005) chart week - it had scanned around 37,170 units to date. Therefore, it's current cumulative sales should be around 40,000 units based on the roughly 2,000 units the DVD shifts each week. Of course, let's not forget 62k copies of the Live In Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour DVD are already sold through The Ultimate Collection (4 CD/1 DVD) boxed set.

Since SoundScan figures aren't available for Live In Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour, we can only estimate how much it sold based on the chart ranking of the Number Ones DVD on the Billboard Comprehensive Music Videos Chart.

Among the older titles, Greatest Hits increased some, as did the perennial top-selling holiday effort, Merry Christmas. The dual-disc version appeared in some stores last week- I'd think the new sales would be lumped with sales of the existing album.

But Usher and 50 Cent are at the height of their popularity. It wouldn't be fair to compare MJ to them. But I do admit that it would be interesting to see the catalogue sales of Prince, U2 and The beatles. But I understand that BB can only post what she knows.

Hi, I'm obviously not BB :lol: I asked a friend of mine about Prince's and Usher's catalogue sales from last week since MJ's were 10,000 in CD sales only not counting DVD's and in terms of CD's Prince sold 6300 CD's including his last album and Usher sold only 1700 CD's. This was a one time deal so I won't be able to provide this kind of information weekly, okay. :flowers:
 
You're welcome Angie. BTW, 50 cent sold 4600 copies of his catalog not counting his current album the Massacre because it's not a catalog album. Keep in mind all of MJ's album sales are due to no obvious new studio album out unlike 50 or R.Kelly who sold 4400 albums not counting his current album TP 3. So as you can see MJ is doing well without a new album out right now.
