Michael - The Great Album Debate

Well it's hard for some to simply trust their ears, you know, when it's been so manipulated that it does sound convincingly like Michael in areas.

I mean, the Cascio songs(from the album) are so heavily sampled with Michael's previous vocals that it does get genuinely confusing. It's not like Jason Malachi's music is interlaced with tons of Michael Jackson samples, also.

Just imagine if Let Me Let Go was released with Michael's breath and beatboxing pasted everywhere and him shouting "hoo" and "hee-hee!" over it. It'd be very confusing for people, especially if it was released as a Michael Jackson song.
 
Well that describes the cascio fiasco to a t aniram! We don't need to imagine do we? Monster, Keep your head up, breaking news are just that.... On an official MJ release... Yes confusion indeed. And some fans in their confusion have convinced themselves it's MJ to avoid the uncomfortable cognitive dissonance listening to the tracks provokes.
 
^^ Monster as a whole IS a rip off of Let Me Let Go lol The songs blend perfectly well into each other...

Michael heard Let Me Let Go and thought to himself, "I want that. I want a song that legendary."

And Monster was born.

Michael trained himself to sound like Jason on the Cascio songs as a test of his ability as a singer. Can he fool everyone, can he morph his voice to sound like an amateur? Yes!!!

I wonder how people would have responded if the Estate/SONY had decided to release a 12-track MJ album with only Cascio songs on it.
 
At least then we wouldn't have to worry about the songs cluttering up a perfectly legit MJ album.

True. I'd rather all the Cascio tracks be released in one album. I can simply avoid that album then. I'd definitely listen to Best of Joy many more times if it's not squeezed between Monster and Breaking News.

I just feel sad every time I listen to the album Michael. I just don't feel listening to it. I don't know... May be because Michael's absence is so apparent in the album... It just brings me an influx of sadness when the album is played... :cry:
 
^ I just have Best Of Joy on a separate playlist. It's between the HIStory Ummah DJ Mix and One More Chance. :)
 
^^ I don't have the Michael album on a playlist at all...I have all Michael music on one entire playlist...From the Michael album, I have Hold My Hand, Hollywood Tonight (Birchey's mix), Best of Joy, Behind the Mask, Another Day and Much Too Soon...I'm not a fan of the 'Michael' version of I Like The Way You Love Me..I was just listening to the version from TUC and it's just SO much better...I find the Melodyne they used on the album version sorta screws with his beautiful harmonies and it just angers me lol
 
From Off The Wall to Invincible, I have no problem in putting the entire album on a playlist. I listen to every single song. I truly enjoy all his albums. Every song he put on an album is worthwhile. But, I really found Michael hard to listen to at times. The Casico tracks is not the only reason. For me, it's the empty feeling I got from it. The way this album is put together reminds me of Michael's absence. I hate myself for not being able to enjoy Best of Joy, Behind the Mask and Much Too soon more. Best of Joy and Much Too Soon are very beautiful. But, for some reasons, it hurts me more to listen to these two songs than Gone Too Soon or Smile. I have mixed feeling about posthumous release now. Of course, I'd love to see Blue Gangster and DYKWYCA be officially released. But, I don't know if I want to go through another emotional roller coaster. I don't mind if they postpone release of music in the vault. I hope the Estate take notes from this fiasco. The album may still make them money. But, the negative goodwill created is irreversible.
