In our March issue, we approach Michael Jackson from several different angles. Our cover story is an essay looking back on Michael's glory days, and pondering what our culture has lost in the years since he ruled the airwaves. Sidebars discuss Thriller -- in its original format and in the 25th anniversary edition -- and look at connections between his on-stage and off-stage life. The issue will be on newsstands in early to mid-February. We hope you'll check it out!

Paste - March 2008

Also....

Michael Jackson may perform 10-night London residency

News, Published online on 08 Jan 2008
Like so many musicians in the spotlight (Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad*), Michael Jackson▓s musical gifts have recently been eclipsed by his offstage antics. But here at Paste, we▓re all about comebacks, and Jackson may just be the latest star to put the music forward (as opposed to, say, paying it forward).
The King of Pop is reportedly in talks to play a 10-night residency at London▓s O2 Arena sometime in 2008. The shows would celebrate the 25th anniversary of Thriller, an album that was mildly popular when it was released. Paste, your official reunion tour and comeback strategy headquarters, will bring you more news on Mr. Jackson▓s redemption when it becomes available.
On an extra credit note, MJ fans can look forward to a very special piece on the formerly gloved one in Paste's March issue. Get hyped!

thanx you very much for sharing hun

He doesnt wear gloves anymore.. does he?;)

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! LOL!

I had a dumb moment! Mike does not wear gloves anymore. LOL. My goodness. I knew that but see, I was not thinking like that. I was thinking more like how the media would say, "MJ is the former King of Pop". LOL.

I have a question - is this magazine an American based magazine?

Well, *sigh* I will only get the magazine if a fan gets the magazine and says that the article or articles on MJ are fair. I only trust a few fans for their opinion when I make my decision. I do not trust this media so I am trusting fans (a few) on their opinions.

Alright, something just hit me - I have heard of this magazine before. LOL.

paris hilton a musician?

Sounds interesting , not that i know what mag. is . I,m like Bee i trust in a few to bring the goodness and trueth out about Michael. But when it comes to fans i would hope we can trust in each other when it comes to Michael. But i do hope it works out weather it comes to Canada is another story .

hmmm... I thought I was gonna see Mike

Sorry, My mistake. It may be in Barnes & Noble also but I got one at Borders

i got this magazine in the mail a few days ago and read the article. it mainly talks about how they don't make stars [and stars don't make excitement] like MJ anymore [title: 25 Years After Thriller, a Eulogy for What We've Lost] and how being accused of doing horrible things has kind of ruined what MJ gave to the world.

and says that "the last few years have been so upsetting to those of us who've loved him--nobody in his right mind would choose to act the way he has." i don't think they mean to bash him by saying that most of the article gives him credit for brilliance.

it also says about him "there's something awesome about the whole world singing the same song or watching the same music video, worshipping at the same altar."

i'd give the article a B+ and there's some great pictures we've all seen before.

"Several differt angles" of view on Michael Jackson phenomenon does not promise article with not judgmentality, slant or slander.
